Beautiful rooms with amazing views of KL!

Breakfast options were limited with poor coffee at the downstairs restaurant. This was a downgrade from previous years when there was a buffet option in the lobby floor.

We love the Alila and we are regular guests since 2019. The smell once we enter the hotel is feeling home.

We recognized quite some wear and tear like loose plug outlets, damaged walls and wood applications, mold in the bathroom (which is pretty normal due to the hummidity), sink not running off, and so on.... After Covid the Alila has changed the former breakfast from buffet and a la carte breakfast in the top floor to only a la carte in the basement restaurant. There you have a choice of 4 (?) sets. Since I don't eat meat, I had to eat the same set, every day. Further it takes ages till the food is on the table. Next time I would definitely book without the breakfast.

Was attended by a young man, Asad, at counter. Menace, put on smile, approacable, an asset to the Hotel. Yr breakfast was creative. I like the style so it wont alot. There this tall guy from Philippines who serve us with great service. He serves us with love.

Both room and the environment of the hotel is really cozy and amazing. If you are looking to have a gateaway, this is definitely a great place to rest. If you are looking to check-in during peak season, do expect the room might not be ready by 3pm. I checked in at 4.30 pm, my room wasn't ready and I have to chase them for that. Other than that, I love their service and the staff are extremely friendly.

They could have informed me earlier that the room wasn't ready by 4pm. Since it's stated that we can check in after 3pm, i was expecting to be able to rest at 4.30pm during my trip, but I have to wait for 20-30 minutes. However, overall was great.

Counter guy, Arsad, Lvl 41, cheerful approachable menace and likeable person. Also the tall guy at restaurant, Lvl G, where I took my breakfast. Philiphine guy. Friendly, hardworking, work fast and he smile n greet all the time.

When I first arrived at the neighborhood, it was a shock. It was almost as if I was cheated. However, after I parked my car and arrived at the lobby, the interior of the hotel surprised me. The dame building was shared between EST and Alila. The check-in of Alila is on the 41st floor, the same floor with the fine dining restaurant Entier. The check-in is pleasant and swift. The room is spacious, and the bed and shower are exceptional. I had a wonderful sleep during my stay in the hotel without disturbed by the noise at the aisle or outside. The shower pressure is very good, and the temperature is easily adjustable. The amenities are perfect, and the body and hair shampoo have a wonderful lemon grass fragrant. I also love their snack bar. Almost having coffee every morning accompanied with some fried chips.

The only part which I think the hotel requires to improve would be the water, I am a bit skeptical with the glass bottle whether it was cleaned properly or how would you guarantee no one careful tearing the secure sticker on the water bottle and added something into it. On the other hand, the TV remote control doesn't seem to match with the TV. It is hard to switch channels or even on off the TV.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was nice and had pool towels just outside the gym. The room was large and spacious with a big comfy bed, good temperature control, the shower was a dream and it had a great view of the city! The walkway directly to the train station was convenient.

Our 2 big problems with this hotel was the lack of smart TV (you can order room service via the TV, but you can't use streaming services even with your own login) and very intermittent WiFi around the room. We would have really expected the WiFi to have been a lot better than it was.

Hugely reduced room service doesn't feel acceptable in a large, sophisticated hotel like this, even during Chinese New Year. This is unfortunately the second time that we have had payment issues here (we were double-charged 5 years ago and almost didn't come back) - this time a policy of ignoring booking.com card reservations and insisting on security payments up front by credit rather than debit card. All very friendly service but stressful on the financial side. We are still waiting for the security payment to be returned.

A special mention goes to the front desk staff member who handled our check-in and check-out with utmost professionalism and efficiency. One of the highlights of our stay at Alila Bangsar was its perfect location. The hotel is conveniently situated near the train station, making it incredibly easy to explore the city and its surrounding areas. The proximity to the train station provided us with convenient transportation options, allowing us to effortlessly navigate Kuala Lumpur. Additionally, the hotel's location within walking distance of Little India was a definite advantage. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the vibrant streets of Little India, immersing ourselves in the rich culture, and indulging in the delicious Indian cuisine. Being able to easily access this cultural hub added an extra layer of excitement and diversity to our stay. Overall, our stay at Alila Bangsar was a memorable one, and we cannot wait to return. The hotel provided us with a wonderful weekend getaway, and we were thoroughly impressed with the quality of service and the comfortable accommodations. The only disappointment was the limited options available at the buffet breakfast. Nonetheless, this minor setback did not overshadow the overall positive experience we had at Alila Bangsar.
