beautiful unique hotel

everything was amazing, only negative would be that the walls were quite thin and you could hear everyone above or next door.

Location is perfect. Architectural creativity of the hotel is really exceptional. The beds are cozy, room is lovely, porch is great. Coffee service is wonderful. All the staff are friendly and attentive.

It was a little noisier than I expected, even with the doors closed there was house music playing past midnight most nights, not from Kanan but from neighboring restaurants and clubs. Not a big deal unless you're a light sleeper, but I was traveling with my mother who is 75 - she had a hard time sleeping. Maybe that's just the nature of staying in Tulum in 2021.

Kanan was absolutely exceptional. The level of service of everyone on staff from the receptionist to the waiters was absolutely amazing! We were greeted with welcome drinks, a beautiful room and coffee/tea every morning! The restaurant on the rooftop was the most amazing experience and our server did the very most to make sure we enjoyed the sunset and lunar eclipse. Our room was extremely spacious. The couples massage we received was to die for. The beachfront service was also incredible. We received a text message every morning and night asking how we were doing and/or if we needed anything. I was blown away by this hotel.

One of the most relaxing places ever in terms of beach access, and room vibes it is like you are in a tree house the most relaxing place for someone wants to connect with nature in a clean place with a very friendly staff that will never let you down and enjoy an excellent roof view for a nice dinner, and great food at the beach & pool in caracole restaurant for breakfast and lunch

Beautifully designed, every single detail in this place was taking care of. The staff is so nice and cooperative, We had the most perfect vacation also thanks to their ability to make us fill very welcome. The location is a bit far from the town, but the quiet peaceful location is worth it, and you can move around easily with collectivo or bicycles. The food is also good, great breakfast.

built right into the landscaping with a unique jungle stay experience The rooftop nests gave you a Birds Eye view of everything around you and the food was delicious Walking around was easy and close to shopping and dining The room was clean, comfortable and unique in decor

not much to complain about

the location of Kanan is great for a couple, it allows you to explore a lot of great restaurants and access to amazing beaches for a swim! the hotel beach restaurant was amazing! we also asked to change rooms because of the loud music on the street and the staff was really cooperative and swapped our room within 20 minutes.

the noise and the continuous loud music both from the street, hotel restaurant(s) (rooftop, beach and dining bar)if you are in it to rest then it’s definitely not for you. finally the fact that the bathroom had no door was a uncomfortable

Great location next to all beach clubs and restaurants, staff very helpful and kind. it is like living in a hut in the middle of the jungle, very exotic

the room view isn’t as described. we paid for full ocean view but you can only see a partial view (trees have grown since) and i guess the partial view rooms are hidden by all the trees! manage your expectation when choosing your room and what you pay for

a very unique hotel, that gives you the feel of sleeping in the jungle on the beach! the amenities are gorgeous, and the food is amazing! it’s a little bit pricey but it’s worth it to have everything right there and not need to move around. I mentioned it was my partners birthday and when we checked in they had decorated the room and even brought chocolate cake and sang happy birthday! it was sooooo thoughtful! the food and drinks are fantastic! we enjoyed it so much we ate lunch here both days. the beach set up is like no other, the water is super clean and clear and the nest cabanas make your day at the beach one to remember

it’s a bit expensive but to be honest, we enjoyed every part of our stay that we didn’t leave feeling ripped off

Location was great near all of the places we visited, walking distance to all the dinner spots and beach clubs. Close to the excursion we did and the cenote we visited. Room was clean. The jungle vibe was great. Rooftop nest was breathtaking. My food was delicious.
