nice location and nice rooms

The location was excellent. Walking distance to majority tourist attractions in Amsterdam city. Close to lots of food. Rooms are clean and tidy. Beds quite comfortable too.

The air con wasn't working and was unable to open a window... in June... quite warm. We did have a portable fan, which helped to move the air around.

Staff were great dealt with all request and were really friendly. Air conditioning and showers where really good in rooms, comfortable and clean. Location was good a short walk to the square which had good bars and restaurants.

Lights could be better in the rooms as its quite dark in the rooms and very difficuly particularly when trying to look into the wardrobe to see anything and TV stations didn't all work.

Lighting on bathroom & bedroom was execrable. No sign to put on door when wanting to not be disturbed. No breakfasts Bed sheets too short. Is to sleep with only half the body covered a new fashion?

I was slightly worried before arriving at the hotel after reading the most recent reviews. But honestly the hotel was fine. It’s clean, tidy and is within walking distance to everything. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful with directions, and allowed us to check one of our rooms in early as we were a big group and had lots of bags. The rest of us checked in after exploring a little bit of Amsterdam.

The windows don’t open and there is no air conditioning. The room got a little hot whilst getting ready but it didn’t ruin our stay as we didn’t spend a lot of our time in the rooms.

The staff was super helpful and courteous. They booked Taxis for us and gave us directions . The room was very clean , simple but met all of our needs . We would stay there again and the location is great. You can walk to all the major museums and to a lot of restaurants. Th tram system is very convenient on the same street and easy to use . There is always an attendant on the tram to help give you some directions and sell you the right ticket. We were able to book a covid antigen test for the cruise just a few blocks away as well at Covid +.

The only thing that was missing was breakfast service but we didi not mind that much as there is a Starbucks across the street and a great offer machine in the lobby . The are also a few groceries and bakeries on the street so that you can buy something for the morning .

Fantastic location, within walking distance of all the attractions and has a very nice selection of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby. Have stayed here quite a few times and staff are always friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and have always been clean.

Lights in the rooms are badly placed so lighting is inadequate at night - but this is only a minor inconvenience.

The hotel was great! we actually moved from another hotel that was not up to scratch, and luckily found Hotel Espresso. The building and room are very clean, the staff are friendly and the location is perfect for those who want to be close to the town but not stuck in the middle of the madness. I would recommend Hotel Espresso, and I will be going back in the summer to stay again.

The location was EXCELENT. Not in the middle of central mayhem, but a mere 300 meters away. Also with very good transportation choices by tram. The wonderful Vondelpark is also 300 meters away. The Lobby is very comfortable and you can get a tea or an "espresso" from a machine there for a mere 1€. All the staff was very kind and helpful, from the front desk to the room maids.

The rooms were a bit small. In one of them when you opened the bathroom door at less than 45°, you hit the bed. Also, most of the rooms have windows that can't be opened.

We booked the hotel when there was a discount. So for us it was price/ performance. It was clean. The beds were comfortable. The service was pretty good.

The only thing that disturbed us was that they did not have any slippers. This created a problem while we were taking shower.
