very friendly and helpful staff. loved my room with seating on our balcony! nice boutique hotel with great garden to drink some wine available at the hotel. nice gathering room with view of garden. Hope they keep this space and features it in upcoming renovation. people need space on first floor as rooms are very compact. They serve breakfast as option in this garden room.Great location and history of building. would certainly return here!❤️

no complaints other than possible changes in future to add more rooms by check in desk and eliminate current garden room. That would be a great loss to guests

We booked our stay within a month of traveling during a very busy season for Amsterdam - tulip season, so choices were limited. I traveled with my college-grad daughter. Our criteria: quiet, comfortable, safe, reasonably-priced (for Amsterdam), well-rated and convenient to Amsterdam sites and Keukenhoff bus and the train station. This hit all of our criteria in a quiet neighborhood, but the trams and metros were slightly a further walk than I would have preferred, but not bad at all. As a bonus, Booking.com offered a free taxi from the airport, which was nice, however, you met a group, waited about 10 minutes, then took you as a group to the taxi stand. The location is just south of the Marriott on a quiet street close to Vondelpark and the Rijk museum. Most of our public transport options required a 10-15 minute walk. They had an elevator, which was great, as the stairs are typical of Amsterdam. We also had a lovely little balcony overlooking the street, with a table and 2 chairs. They had large windows and blackout curtains as well. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was clean, new but tight. Room was a little tight, but we didn't spend a lot of time there, so worked fine. Front desk was always staffed and very helpful. Overall, this was a solid, comfortable, value choice in a safe, quiet area close to a canal, boat tours and the Rijk museum.

Couldn't figure out how to not flood the bathroom during a shower, but not a big deal. Just don't put anything on the floor or toilet shelf. Otherwise, can't complain.

The location was perfect - just outside the old town centre and a 10-minute walk from the museums, but in a really quiet street and outside the bustle of the main areas. Breakfast was good, the beds were comfy, the place was clean and, most important, the staff were super friendly and helpful. There is also a lovely garden to enjoy when you want a break!

The bathroom was quite small and there wasn't much to hang our towels, but it was really clean. It would have been great to have a bedsheet as the duvet was too warm but it was cold without it.

Clean, beautiful room, comfortable beds, central, friendly staff, beautiful and clean bathroom

We were lucky to have a balcony, otherwise it would have been very little space in the triple room. Room service came only every third day although we had the sign outside the room. Once they came in the afternoon and we had to leave the room, so that they could clean, not so comfortable for us.

our stay at Prinsenhotel was perfect. The hotel is close to Leidseplein and close to public transport stops, but located in a quiet street and in front of a beautiful building. The atmosphere is cozy and check in was fast and conducted by a very welcoming and nice man. Our room was on the 4th floor, overlooking the stunning building in front of us with an incredible game of lights at the sunrise and at the sunset coming through the wide windows. The room is clean, very comfortable. A perfect spot for an Amsterdam escape.

Excellent location and staff very friendly and helpful

First room we stayed in was very small ( we expected that ) but the bathroom was very old with a shower in the bath which was really poor After one night we requested a move and did so to a better room with a more modern shower

* All the balconies are from the front side of the building, pointing south. It's really nice to sit there, if the weather is not too crazy. The view is on a street and a possession in front (actually their garden) and as the street is a side street it's quite quiet there and you talking also do not disturb neighbors. * There is a garden that belongs to the hotel in a backyard. It's really spacious and well preserved. You can get your coffee and breakfast with you and eat there. It's also a good place to smoke ;) * It's close to LIDL (5 minutes walking), so you can avoid those costly local "supermarkets" (they are usually 10x more expensive than LIDL). * It's directly next to the bus stop that connects you to the airport and to a central train station. * It's 5 minutes walking from the park. * It's 5 minutes walking from the water channels.

* Room size was really small. Enough for two people, when they only plan to sleep there, but not enough, if you plan to spend some more time there. * There was no lock in the bathroom. Quite awkward, but you can get used to it.

Very friendly staff. Even though the room was small, it was well designed with lots of shelving. Felt nice coming back to a warm, cosy room when it was so cold outside! Walking distance to plenty of restaurants, a good grocery store and lots of sights.

The bed was a little too soft for me, not enough support. Of course this might be fine for some people. The noise from the corridor could be loud sometimes at night.

The location was brilliant, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The bathroom and bedroom was very clean.

Bedroom was tiny with no where to sit only the bed. No coffee/tea facilities my fault as I didn’t read description but assumed most hotels provided this. No where really comfortable to sit and relax in hotel only tables and chairs for breakfast use.

Great location next to vondelpark and a short walk from leidseplein. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was a good size with a nice shower. The older gentleman working the counter in the evenings was very pleasant.

The room was very tiny and the amount and size of furniture in the room made it even smaller, making it hard to walk between the bed and the cabinet. The hall was also very narrow and painted so dark with such low lighting it was almost scary. I know this isnt the fault of the hotel, but perhaps due to the location, my husband and I barely slept due to very loud people partying outside until dawn.
