The breakfast room and the food options were excellent. The room was staffed and kept very clean. Lobby coffee and drink service were a nice bonus. The location of the hotel was good, very close to many restaurants and tram service.

The hotel bed was too soft. While the box spring seemed okay, the foam mattress topper was very soft, with little support. My lower back was sore in the morning. Also, being an older building, there were steps from the street entrance to the lobby. Guests with a physical impairment or with heavy bags may be challenged.

Excellent hotel! Beautiful decor, great rooms with lots of amenities. Breakfast was fantastic, the cook lady is so nice, joyful, helpful and attentive. The lobby is cosy and the all inclusive is amazing! It was a big plus of our stay. The location is very good as well, you can walk everywhere.

The shower door wasn't properly sealed so the water poured out of the cabin and everything was wet, but the other room was fine. The breakfast only had orange juice aside from coffee and etc. I needed to ask for apple juice everyday. They had it and were nice about it but I felt bad for having to ask every morning. Be prepared to "pay" a security deposit fee. I didn't like to acknowledge this only when I got there at 1am. On top of the city tax (that is a robbery) everything was a bit confusing.

Banks Mansion really feels like a home away from home. Everybody from the staff has been so lovely. The lady making the breakfast (can't remember her name unfortunatelly) was like a mom making the breakfast for her children, so lovely and attentive! She really is a true treasure to Banks Mansion. The "all inclusive" concept is such a great idea considering the central position of the hotel! When we felt like a break from exploring the city, we could get back to the hotel in like 10min walking distance from literally anywhere and have a nice drink. And by a nice drink I mean a really nice one! The booze is of great brands and some of it is made directly for Banks Mansion! The gin and the beer - my oh my. I've had many IPA's in my life and consider Banks Mansions' IPA one of the best I've ever had. The cheese trolley is a great bonus if you want a small snack in the evening. The room is small but has everything you need. Who would stay at the room when you can go to the living, anyway! The rooms are prettier than the photos, nice and cosy. Can't wait to return to this lovely hotel, one of the best I've ever visited. Banks Mansion, you're doing a fantastic job!

I missed some juice at the bar, but that's really nitpicking considering the given choice. And maybe it could be a good idea to show some suggestions for cocktail recipes since there is a variety of alcohol, syrup and everything needed. But really, that's just me trying to figure out something to improve.

good location

Uber cabs aren’t allowed to come at the entrance for pick up, only their Partner taxis can.. Uber was 35 euro but I had to pay 57 euro for their taxi as I had luggage and walking with it to a pick up point for Uber in heavy rain was a challenge

Location was exactly right for what we wanted to see in Amsterdam. We could get everywhere by walking or by tram. Our room had a view of the canal as we had asked. The room was clean, comfortable and had good air conditioning. A request for an extra pillow was no problem. The breakfast staff were cheerful and efficient and made really good omelettes! The ambiance of the "sitting room" worked well and we felt relaxed as we enjoyed our inclusive drinks and nibbles in the early evening.

The room on the 4th floor was a little smaller than we expected as it was in the roof with dormer windows. I found it awkward going round the bed as the roof sloped. I would recommend a room lower down as they seemed taller.

Great location on tram line in city center Great hospitality with full breakfast, afternoon snacks and beverages available all day. Elevator worked well. Reception staff were very helpful in booking taxis. The decoration of the hotel is interesting and colorful. The view of the canal is very pleasant and noise level very low from pedestrians. Walkable to major attractions. modern bathroom with shower. Well stocked help yourself bar and minifridge in room.

The twin mattress on the bed kept sliding around off the support though the pillows and sheets were comfortable.

Friendly staff, excellent location next to a tram stop, comfy beds and pillows, nice large room. open bar concept was a big hit for the guests.

The omelets served at breakfast were great, but it would have been nice for them to serve the Dutch pancakes or waffles that are so famous in Amsterdam. We were hoping for a little more information about the cheeses served every afternoon. They weren’t labeled. I would have enjoyed a coffee in my room, but no milk was provided in the mini fridge, and the coffee machine in the lobby was out of order. All easy fixes!

Breakfast was delicious - many options and staff was incredibly helpful. Loved the wine that was available after 4pm and the cheese trolley at 5pm. Beds were comfortable, although our 1 bed room was 1/2 the size of the room with two twin beds (exactly same price). Location was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Amsterdam. .

Our single-bed room was very small, and 1/2 the size of the 2-twins bed that my husband and son stayed in. We requested 2 rooms with 2 twin beds and made the reservation in February for our late-June stay.

Amazing location!!! and very helpful and friendly staff. The open bar and snacks makes the lobby the best place to hang out and meet new people! It is something very unique to this hotel. The complimentary minibar in the room really makes you feel cared and welcomed. Comfortable rooms and very very good breakfast! Would definitely stay again

In our toilet there was no window and it felt like there wasn't enough ventilation. Also it was a bit dirty under the bed (the reason I know is because my son kept throwing stuff around the room so I had to look for it under the bed..) 😬 But I will definitely stay at this magnificent hotel again!

The room was spacious and neat, though shower cabin was a bit small. Great location as everything was at a walking distance. Beds and pillows were comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a big variety of products and you could have for exemple pancakes, french toast or omelettes cooked just for you and to your liking. Strong air conditioning in the room.

It was loud in the evenings. Our room was right by the street so especially when trying to fall asleep, all the noises were loud from the outdoors. We took some sodas from downstairs to our minibar fridge but the cleaner had taken them the next time from the fridge.
