Good location next to the subway (2 lignes actually if you walk a bit), closest is 5min and other one is at 10 min walk Daily room service is appreciated, and rooms are clean. Big TV, small fridge and coffee machine/kettle.

The bed was big but sadly not good for our backs. Backaches every mornings. The room isn't soundproof The shower glass isn't long enough and a lot leaks on the floor when showering

Big room with a coach, safe, iron, kettle and coffee machine. Close to public transport (tram 4, metro 50, 51 with lead to city center and stations in 20-30 minutes) Huge family-friendly hotel but quiet. Comfortable beds, air-conditioning. Sofa-bed is comfortable too. There is a 24/7 shop in the hall, with coffee and snacks but with very expensive prices. We booked 2 months in advance and the price was really convenient for the Netherlands' standards.

Bedroom has got carpet and it wasn't vacuumed when we arrived. Even though we asked 3 members of the staff during the afternoon, it wasn't cleaned until the next day. The 5th floor corridor carpet wasn't vacuumed either. Full of blonde hair and food.

Rooms were good and clean and location was excellent

We requested for our rooms to be close to each other but the receptionist refused to honor our request even when we told her that there was email to that. Initially, she denied that the request was not received . When I challenged her, she acknowledged receipt of the email but still offered to keep us 3 floors apart. We managed to get her to keep us 15 rooms apart . She ruined our holiday.

Middle way between Schipol airport and city center îs a good position in a quiet and clean neighborhood. From airport you can take the train two stations to Rai. Its 9 min journey and can buy tickets online from NS app. Good connection with city center tram 4, bus 62, metro 51,52. Its a 20 to 40 min journey . Can buy tickets online(GVB app), to the counter or at the driver ( card only no cash). Clean room, good breakfast, well organised,with variety of foods and hot chocolate and fresh fruits, fast elevators. Lagguage deposit free. Good wifi free. Umbrella renting. Nice staff. Late dinner until 9.30 pm last order.

No slippers ( a must in a 4 stars hotel), no hanger, check-in very slow sometimes depending on how many guests are coming. Not so many choices in breakfast ( a 3 to 4 star restaurant).

Hotel was excellent, lovely scent as you walk in. Appreciated the modern design and the beautiful views of the city from our room on the 14th floor. Our room was spacious, clean and the queen bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning was lovely to have when we returned each evening, mid-June was hot. The tram and train station are very conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the hotel.

The hotel is located just a little bit too far outside the city if you want to enjoy the night-life in Amsterdam. Last tram from the city is at 00:15 or you pay 80 euro for Taxi.

It was a lovely stay at the Novotel Amsterdam! Really nice staff, all of them were in love with our dog, welcomed him (and us) really well, gave him treats and all. The room was equiped well, didn't expect to be treated with rituals soap & stuff haha.

Wasn't aware that payments only work cashless (got an information e-mail because of the dog, but there was no information about the cashless thing and didn't see it on booking.com) Sad that the sauna works only separated, so my partner and I couldn't go in together. (That's really not thaaat big deal for things we didn't like during our stay)

Breakfast was fine. Above average 4* biz hotel. Great fresh-cooked omelette! I’d appreciate Kefir and/or live yoghurt. Good proper coffee though! Great to have a window that opens rather than enforced aircon. Great to have real coffee and water in the room. Staff super friendly and helpful, but not excessively fussy!

No food other than vending machine once I’d checked in at 22:30 after a long day travelling. If a hotel is in town near to a 7/11, bars/cafes or even a petrol station shop that works but when it’s in a conference/business/hotel district with nothing in 10 mins walking distance the option to get a sandwich/salad would be great, even if it’s packaged.

We ended up at Novotel Amsterdam City by happenstance due to cancelled flight at Schipol airport and a lot of unknowns about our future travel plans. The front desk staff were exceptionally accommodating and friendly. The room was large, clean and comfortable….the bed was particularly comfortable which was a big plus after a long day of travel. Also the hotel makes an extra effort to be ‘environmentally friendly’.

The hotel has a very good restaurant but since its in a business area, there are not a lot of other eating options nearby. Our stay was short so not a major problem but could be for longer stays.

This was an unexpected stay due to a big storm in Amsterdam which prevented us from travelling on to Maastricht as all trains were cancelled. We found the hotel on Booking.com quite easily which eased our stress, having spent hours at Amsterdam Centraal station hoping the trains would run. Although the hotel was on the outskirts of the city, it was easily reached on the Metro as it was near Rai metro station (5 mins walk). Excellent price & very comfortable hotel.

Hotel Bar was so busy as the Dutch & Belgian? ladies football teams were staying & it took ages to buy a drink at the bar!! Not a problem but was a bit frustrating having had an awful day after problems caused by the storm & we were just desperate for refreshment!! Didn't take us long to finally chill out in a lovely hotel.

Room was bigger than I expected, it's a new property, very clean and well maintained, nice bathroom. Room had a coffee machine and a mini fridge. Good connectivity via Tram, Metro and bus. The nearby Amstelpark is beautiful and I personally felt was better than the more well known Vondelpark. Staff were great, I had to change my dates and they accommodated without change in pricing though rates had gone up. They also allowed us to check in a couple of hours early without extra charges.

Location is a bit outside the city, so there are not many restaurant choices nearby. On the plus side it's a very quiet and peaceful neighbourhood and well connected by public transport.
