location was good for us. staff welcoming. two couples, so the double ensuite was great. we couldnt get the wifi - but as it was only one night its wasnt an issue. any longer and we would of asked for help. (luv the jetplanes at reception). wish we had enough time to dine at the restaurant - the menu looks mouthwatering. I love the artwork and the "moodiness" vibe of the Hotel.
we got a ticket to park at Wilsons, but when we returned from dinner - after 10pm, they were closed. We parked on street, which was fine. Nothing to do with your Hotel, but if you've paid $35 for 24hr pass, we should be able to enter anytime in that timeframe.

I was upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom when I arrived, which was appreciated! The room was very small and just perfect for a city stay. The shower was large, the water pressure average but hot. The decor was very dark all over, looks quite classy in the daylight but a bit depressing at night. A dim night light would be great. Blackout curtains were awesome for sleeping in and the bed was firm. Everything was clean and new. Multiple power points make charging every device easy. No problems with WiFi and worked and gamed without lag.
A light over the eating area would be helpful, as the main lights are too dim to reach there adequately. The microwave should be placed down lower for safety reasons. A kitchen cupboard door hits the front door handle and the bedroom cupboard door hits the lights. Annoying, but not restrictive! A spare blanket would not have gone amiss and there's no landline to call down to reception. The smart TV was slow and not worth setting up streaming accounts as it requires a Google log in to update.

The studio was really spacious and well appointed. It was like a mini apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The decor was giving luxurious vibes although the dark colours and mood lighting messed up with my eyes and gave me a headache when e.g. trying to read. Bed was very comfy, the room was quiet and we didn't seem to hear any other guests. Bathroom was great and the shower in particular was a dream with great water pressure. The restaurant was buzzing, the bar looked great - we didn't use either as did not have enough time, but will keep it in mind for next visit. The library room was awesome. We used the Spa service (massage) and it was lovely!
Check in and check out times were both very busy with a bit of a wait to get sorted.

I liked that although the rooms were quite small, it had everything needed and conveniently provided for whether we stayed in or out. The provision of the lounge rooms where we could stay and chilled in front of the fire while waiting for our room. The alfresco area which was beautiful and cosy. The coffee from the restaurant was one of the best I had. The staff at the restaurant, reception, cleaning. We appreciated being able to wash our clothes for free. Location was excellent, lots of options opened late, transport available and easily accessible. We really loved it.
Very little I didn’t like. Internet was not great and room a bit too small to stay in too long. Unfortunately I was not well and couldn’t go out much as we planned so spent longer in the room.

I loved Everything about Abstract Hotel Auckland NZ. ! The staff are outstanding; professional, friendly & accommodating. Top notch service in all areas, exceptional Reception & Restaurant staff. The hotel is in the perfect location to walk into city. Plenty of bakeries, cafes, bars, restaurants, general stores within 5 min walk. The rooms are excellent, high quality modern appliances, beds & pillows very comfortable, loved the decor, and blackout curtains. Booked an extra night at the end of my travels; I enjoyed it even more if that's possible !! 100 % highly recommend.
I wish I could have stayed longer!

The hotel is very well located and in easy walking distance of the city centre and close to restaurants. It was decorated really well with beautiful artworks. The layout of the ground floor with rooms for sitting and reading, talking with friends/family, eating own food, playing board games or using laptops was really functional and comfortable. We loved the staff t shirts and would have purchased one if they had been for sale! The staff were all amazing. We arrived at 1am in the morning and checking was easy, thank you.
While our room was well equipped, it was somewhat small and dark and we had a very noisy night when there was rubbish removal at 3 in the morning just below our room! Once we got our eyes accustomed to the dark setting we enjoyed it very much!

This hotel is situated on the queens Road which is a main road into the center of Auckland. It's about a 20 minute walk to the docks from here. It's downhill. Of course it's up hill on the way back. There are a few restaurants nearby to cater for all budgets. The restaurant hotel has a great buffet style breakfast. I didn't try the evening menu. The gym is compact and well equipped and opens at 6am. There is a bar with an indoor and outdoor area. There is a meeting room. There is a separate indoor lounge with fire effect heating... Nice touch. The room I was allocated was compact and equipped with sink cutlery, microwave oven fridge and freezer. The rooms are very warm and compact. There is no AC. If you find the room warm you can ask reception for a fan. The decoration is dark. It feels nice. The ceilings are exposed and industrial in nature. The rooms are well sound insulated. The shower room is clean and modern and compact. Very good hot water and water pressure. Reception appears to be manned 24Hrs. They are very nice. I would recommend this hotel, especially if you don't mind a little walk to the centre of things. I would stay here again.

Modern, sleek, and fabulous communal spaces at a wonderful price point. Whoever designed this hotel should win an award. A library with two fireplaces and plush couches, the working space, the world’s cutest bar, warm heaters in a courtyard adorned with fairy lights day and night, an efficient gym. The rooms are small but if that’s what it takes for this price point and these facilities I am 1000% behind this concept. Plus even the smallest rooms feature a cozy television nestled right at the foot of your bed for great viewing rather than that weird corner setup some hotels have or a TV so far from the bed the screen seems small. They have gotten everything right, and the clientele reflect that. It felt like every guest here was young, beautiful, hip, and very happy this hotel existed. Me too.
I see other people’s point about there not being a lot of floor space for your luggage but I don’t care. The Lux studio is cozy for one, but for two you have to really, really like each other to not get in each other’s way. People who complain about noise are insane. It's K Road, baby! Didn't you come here for this?

Amazing friendly staff! I loved the restaurant downstairs, going down for a coffee in the morning in the winter garden was perfect! a great distance from the CBD considering the price, having YouTube on the TV was a great bonus I didn’t know we needed
The rooms were quite dark but that didn’t bother us too much because we were only at the hotel during the nights and morning. The locations is good but the surrounding buildings / people lingering is definitely a downfall but that has nothing to do with the hotel, it just felt unsafe to go out at night

All of Abstract hotel staff who were consistently welcoming, respectful and always helpful. My visiting family members (2) and I agreed that the highlight was the Italian Restaurant cuisines alongside awesome service. "Absolutely my greatest experience at ALLA PROSSIMA Great Italian cuisine and nothing and no one else matters" Unfortunately not.able to show all.of the awesome cuisines served over 6 nights ! Until we meet again !
Dark coloured deco in studio room during the daytime. Drawing open the curtains and opening the top window, gave a little .light and some fresh air. I still required to turn on the lights to see kitchen bench top, drawers and inside wardrobe.
