location was good for us. staff welcoming. two couples, so the double ensuite was great. we couldnt get the wifi - but as it was only one night its wasnt an issue. any longer and we would of asked for help. (luv the jetplanes at reception). wish we had enough time to dine at the restaurant - the menu looks mouthwatering. I love the artwork and the "moodiness" vibe of the Hotel.

we got a ticket to park at Wilsons, but when we returned from dinner - after 10pm, they were closed. We parked on street, which was fine. Nothing to do with your Hotel, but if you've paid $35 for 24hr pass, we should be able to enter anytime in that timeframe.

I was upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom when I arrived, which was appreciated! The room was very small and just perfect for a city stay. The shower was large, the water pressure average but hot. The decor was very dark all over, looks quite classy in the daylight but a bit depressing at night. A dim night light would be great. Blackout curtains were awesome for sleeping in and the bed was firm. Everything was clean and new. Multiple power points make charging every device easy. No problems with WiFi and worked and gamed without lag.

A light over the eating area would be helpful, as the main lights are too dim to reach there adequately. The microwave should be placed down lower for safety reasons. A kitchen cupboard door hits the front door handle and the bedroom cupboard door hits the lights. Annoying, but not restrictive! A spare blanket would not have gone amiss and there's no landline to call down to reception. The smart TV was slow and not worth setting up streaming accounts as it requires a Google log in to update.

I've stayed here a few times now, and I love the common spaces. They are fantastic and I always use them, either the garden bar or the library. Great if you are meeting people too. This time I stayed in a 1-bdr apartment (rm 1012), which was very convenient and functional. Much better layout than the little lux studios, not just the extra space but the way it was organised. The view to the city was awesome and I enjoyed looking down on the goings on at K Rd. p.s. book ahead for the spa, I didn't and missed out.

Took a few stays to put my finger on it but the energy feels unbalanced - too much male energy, not enough female. Manifests itself in various ways - the overwhelming dark colour scheme in the rooms with not one cushion to be seen, the lack of anywhere to hang long dresses (it would be so easy to put a nice hook or two high up on the wall), the ever so slightly pervy art work of a Polynesian woman in various states of half undress. I get the references to K Rd but honestly, this could be better, does not work with the high end lodge aspirations at all.

The hotel was very central with 2 min access to K road and Ponsonby Rd giving access to great restaurants. The hotel itself was renovated and looked new. The room was suitable for my needs and provided tea and coffee.

The TV didn't work - well I couldn't get any channels as there was no aerial attached. There were APPS on the TV however as I 'm not a streamer with any accounts it meant only YouTube was available and with the intermittent Wi-Fi this was problematic. However, I only found this out in the evening after returning home from dinner so it didn't effect me so much, I just think hotels should check these things regularly.

Impeccable , Very friendly staff, Extremely clean, All facilities available that is spa, gym, laundry, studio, restaurant, private space, lounge. walking distance from city centre. Every single day, friendly staff asked if room is ok and if anything is required. In terms of room, it had kettle, coffee, milk, iron, dryer, toilet amenities. Overall, very clean, safe, peaceful, all essentials provided, no hidden fee, no add ons, for example laundry was free. Very impressed and very satisfied with my stay.

I will like to clarify it is not that I did not like but it is something as a suggestion to make an already perfect place even better. I would recommend that instead of room service knocking on the door every day, it can be some sort of sign which guest can leave on the door handle to inform room service if it is required. it can help with people on holiday who go to bed late and don’t want to be disturbed in their sleep. Just a friendly suggestion. Thank you

Great place to stay in Auckland!! Comfortable and quiet room. It's tiny but perfectly designed so no space is lost. The kitchenette is a big plus if you want to cook a meal or two. The staff is super friendly. Great neighborhood in Auckland, the hotel is perfectly located to explore the city.

The room is tiny. like I wrote above, it wasn't an issue for me, but I was traveling solo and I'm easy about this, but people who look for space might find it a bit too small, especially if they are 2 and have large luggages.

Our stay at Abstract was superb. Staff were amazing!

Only issue I had was parking, which was not clearly spelled out, or options given. I was merely handed a parking voucher for the two nights we stayed, which cost $70. I could have paid $15 per day for parking at Wilsons, plus $3 per night. We arrived at 4pm on Friday. We were out all-day Saturday and departed at 11am on Sunday. $70 to park was ridiculous! However, I do respect that parking is a premium in Auckland. But - I could have parked at my own discretion for considerably less, had this been clearly spelled out at reception, when carpark vouchers were being dished out to guests arriving (there were quite a few)! Therefore, the room rate was NOT that special once I included a further $70 for parking! I suggest this is how Abstract makes up their room rate...

The studio was really spacious and well appointed. It was like a mini apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The decor was giving luxurious vibes although the dark colours and mood lighting messed up with my eyes and gave me a headache when e.g. trying to read. Bed was very comfy, the room was quiet and we didn't seem to hear any other guests. Bathroom was great and the shower in particular was a dream with great water pressure. The restaurant was buzzing, the bar looked great - we didn't use either as did not have enough time, but will keep it in mind for next visit. The library room was awesome. We used the Spa service (massage) and it was lovely!

Check in and check out times were both very busy with a bit of a wait to get sorted.

All staff in Abstract Hotel and All Prossima, consistently demonstrate each in their own way, great customer by how they communicate verbally on a 1:1 Transparently Respectful & Hospitable Helpful at all.times... Always exceptionally clean. Luxuriously Peaceful and quiet surroundings... Availability of Gym, Spa-health, Library, Quiet-Laptop/Online-work space, The Bar with additional Daily 4-6 pm for drinks&snacks(hours) Spacious size of open planned Lux studio open planned room😊 Size of the basin/shower & toilet room ! Comfy comfy bed Temperature of the room (I've always found the rooms to be quite warm)

Darkened coloured room. For me, it was compulsory to turn on a light to see clearly the top kitchen bench cupboard and spaces below sink area, despite having curtains pulled back during the day.time. Shower with raised circumference of drainage plug hole area, leaving a generous pool of water which required a few towels to prevent water from going out further and soak excess water. I did not want to leave the spacious, open planned room. so, I accepted the discount offered, for my compulsory foot spa-s☺️

Great location just off K Road - short walk to loads of great restaurants and easy access to the city. Very comfortable bed, spotless. Great staff and the shared areas downstairs, while I didn't use them, looked fantastic - lots of places to relax if you don't feel like going out but don't want to stay in hyour room. The hotel had a great vibe.

Studio room is very small - fine for one person, but would even be a squash for just two. Thin walls... could hear quite a bit of noise from next door. Though a Dyson fan was provided and the window opened, the lack of aircon mean the small room felt quite stuffy. But overall, for the price, it's hard to argue!
