The location at the top of Queen St near K road was very convenient for us. The kitchen was the best stocked for cooking equipment we have ever had so we were able to make a lot of our own food. There were fans in the room which was great as it was so hot. The beds were super comfortable and the bathroom, though small, was adequate and the shower pressure great. We had our room serviced during our 3 day stay which we were not expecting.

It is clean and adequate but basic accommodation. It suited us but if you are looking for some luxury, this isn't suitable

Location is good, right on Queen Street but it is uphill if you are walking! We found it easy to catch public transport from this location. In terms of the property, it is very good value for money as has a mini fridge, tea and coffee items and an ensuite. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean.

It was a bit noisy at night and in the morning as guests were leaving/ checking out. We found that there was a lot of noise coming from the corridor as well as light under the door. Particularly one family was very noisy, with their door open into the hallway and it would have been good to have an option to contact management to kindly ask them to be quieter. Other than this, the rooms were slightly older but nothing too major!

Most of the staff were friendly , the rooms were nice and tidy. Close to where we needed to be .

One of the security guards was on a power trip and decided to give us a letter stating if he had to come see us one more time we were gonna be kicked out. Yup I get the lads were talking loud walking through the lobby but that was about it. There were kids running and screaming up and down the hallway and he didn’t say or do anything for them… so seems like there was a double standard there. The other security staff and hotel staff were absolutely great 😊

The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The bed was comfy and there was even a little sink in the room which is handy as you don't have to keep going back and forth to the bathroom. They had facilities such as laundry, an iron and luggage storage which you could use at any time. The staff were very friendly and approachable, I was even allowed to check in a little early as my room was ready. Good location, plenty of shops and restaurants around. I would definitely recommend and would stay again.

The walls are quite thin so if you are a light sleeper then this might be bothersome for you. Its also at the top of a hill which again might be an issue but it wasn't a problem for me.

Superb location for Auckland City Centre. The bathroom had been redecorated, it was clean and loads of hot water for the shower. The room was compact but comfortable with loads of shelf space to put things on. The lift was from the 1950's but worked OK and added character to the hotel. Great value for money.

The only problem due to the size of the room is that there was limited hanging space for clothing. It would be better if a small carton of milk was put in the fridge rather than the creamer. There's no aircon but the fan was more than adequate.

Centrally located right on upper Queen st with plenty of restaurants and City Hall within short walking distance. The room was as basic as can be expected for the price but comfortable, clean and well serviced. This is a good place to park for the night and that is exactly what we were after as any additional facilities would have added to the cost and would have been of no use to us.

As can be expected, being in the centre of the city, it can get noisy at night, however, our room did not seem to have any decent noise insulation, which meant any sound from either next door, the corridor or the carpark outside, came in loud and clear...

Check in/out was very easy. In the city but isn’t too loud at night, staff are so kind, rooms are decent size and very clean. We were at a concert so didn’t get back until after 11 & the staff were there to let us in which was such an easy process.

Only down side in the room was the pillow was too soft which is personal preference at the end of the day. And also the bathroom had a few downsides, the thing to flush the toilet was a little hard to use & the door handle was a bit hard to open from the inside.

I particularly liked having polite, helpful hotel staff on at reception 24hours, always ready to assist. Hotel fire exits were clearly marked and the reception area contained large sofas and shelves of books for guests convenience. The first night I stayed in a single and following three nights in a double ensuite room. In the morning I really enjoyed my cuppa with the sun streaming through the windows. The location in CBD was very close to bus stops, ferries, and I would say it's a very clean, safe, convenient, cost effective option when visiting Auckland.

Although I stayed at a time when the restaurant was closed because of lack of staff, I'm sure it will be a great breakfast option when I visit again.

We had absolutely everything we needed for a short-term stay. Our own small kitchen was especially helpful, considering we are a family with three kids. It was a nice surprise for me that our apartment consisted of two rooms (I thought it would be a big single room for all 5 people), so our children had their own space. I can tell that we didn't feel a lack of something or experience any problems during our stay.

I enjoyed my stay! Not only did the lovely front desk lady let me take a shower and get myself ready to go explore the city as they prepared my room. But when I got done, they already had a room ready for me which was great. The room itself is dated, but I wasn't expecting anything fancy for the price I paid. I mean, I was hoping for an air conditioner, but to be honest, it was nice to get the fresh nz breeze in there, which got nice and chilly in the evening. The bed wasn't my favorite, but I will tell you I have had sooooo many worse beds I can't say I didn't like it cause I still slept like a baby. I'd say it's just a little soft. Haha. But, I would also say, it was MORE than fair of a price considering its PRIME location between noisy K-Road and the rest of Lower Queen. Just make sure you spring for the ensuite toilet :P...

Nothing bad to say about this place either. I was skeptical obviously but anything they lacked in facilities, they made up for me in hospitality, so I have nothing but good things to say about the Kiwi International Hotel. Solid choice of accommodation imo.
