First, the location is central in the downtown area of Auckland. My wife and I are avid walkers, and we managed to walk from the hotel to areas such as the Domain, Newmarket shopping district, Herne Bay, the waterfront wharves where the ferries and a lovely fish market and marina filled with some amazing yachts are located, Sky View for Broadway show and a tower view, etc. Not everyone may be so inclined to do so much walking, but know it's possible. Our room was larger than expected and suited our needs well. We enjoyed the balcony, having easy access to downtown, the nearby supermarket, and excellent fitness club a 5 or so minute-walk away...but mostly, we enjoyed and appreciated the kind and very receptive service from the staff. Miss Shy went way beyond herself to look after us...thank you, Miss Shy! Miss Brie (sp?) was always kind to us, as were the other personnel at the front desk, and the room service staff were always willing to bring us whatever we found ourselves in need of. I noticed in some reviews that there was a concern about some noise on Queen Street. We too noticed some noise, especially on the weekend, but we simply closed our windows, turned the AC on to a moderate temperature, and that was that. Also, there were a couple of "heads ups" in the comments regarding the hotel being on a hill...I am 68 and my wife 64 and we managed just fine. Plus, there are so many benches along Queen Street that even if we got tired, we simply had a pleasant sit and watched the passersby before continuing home. Finally, there were numerous restaurants nearby, but our favorite was Bon Ga Ne, a nearby Korean restaurant (https://bon-ga-ne.business.site/?utm_source=gmb&utm_medium=referral). My wife is Korean and we live in Korea, but I had to go all the way to Auckland to find one of the better Korean restaurants we have eaten at, even in Korea. The owner is also the cook, and the wait staff is very kind.

Can't think of a thing.

This is a really nice place. It's a little bit away from the shops but close enough to walk or catch a nearby bus. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Having the ability to wash and dry our clothes in our room was good. Our room had a nice view overlooking Myers Park and it was quiet. In spite of the two problems we had a good stay and the only reason we left was that the hotel was booked out for our remaining time in Auckland.

There were a couple of problems, one of which was attended to immediately. Our bedside clock was not showing the correct time so a member of the housekeeping staff changed it. When I moved the clock the screen went blank so it was replaced with a new one. I thought we had two sheer curtains but it turned out that there were a couple of long slits. The housekeeping staff were unaware of this but said it would be replaced as soon as the new ones arrived.

We booked two apartments - a 2-bedroom and a studio - for our last night in Auckland. Both were clean and comfortable and the 2-bed was on the top floor and extremely spacious. checkin was straightforward with friendly, helpful staff. Thelocation is within walking distance of the central harbour area, so easy to go out to eat (the apartments have kitchens which seemed adequate although we didn’t use ours except for breakfast.). Driving to the airport took about 25 mins.

email communication with the hotel prior to check-in seemed a bit uncoordinated - we were asked several times whether we wanted a car parking space which was a bit odd because they’re offered on a first come first served basis so we couldn’t book a space. Our two apartments were on separate floors and because your key fob only appears to give you lift access to the floor you’re staying it made it a bit challenging to visit each other.

self contained and mostly quiet place. we stayed for 20 nights and it is super comfy and feels like home. small kitchen but suffice to make three meals a day. at weekend and Friday night there may be some noise eventhough we were already placed at the park side rooms to minimise noise, it was acceptable even for a light sleeper like me. having a balcony for a compact and small space is a plus. the fridge did not make any significant noise at all which was great. having an air conditioner is great for hot summer days.

Convenient location to CBD. Good wifi. Room cleaned each day. Nice filter coffee supplied most days (not all). Big comfortable bed. Well-equipped kitchenette. Table and desk supplied so plenty of work space.

Late Access of first night arrival a bit confusing but sorted quickly by telephone. Construction in building nearby every day so noisy from 7:30am, even on Sunday. Couldn't see a room safe.

Yes, we were also surprised that you can find such a quiet accommodation in such a central location (Queen Street). The noisiest were the Asian guests, who talked more often, and for longer, in the corridor. The quiet location was mainly due to the fact that the bedroom (with a small balcony) had a nice view of an adjacent park. We also had a direct view of the Sky Tower, which is illuminated at night. Because of the central location, you can visit many places on foot. The small kitchenette was sufficient for cooling drinks and preparing scrambled eggs in the morning.

What a beautiful hidden apartment right in the heart of Akld city. From welcoming, friendly, and helpful hosts on check-in and throughout the duration of my stay. Location is perfect for restaurants, bars, cafes, shopping, and movies, all within walking distance. Highlight a night stroll down Queen St to the Viaduct. Returning to my apartment overlooking Myers Park and the Sky tower from my balcony. Great price , quality room and service. Will definitely be used again.

The Receptionist there both the man and lady were friendly well spoken and informative. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

Nothing to not like. You get more than what you pay for. Beautiful view. Good space. Friendly staff members and just all round best location close to the night life and all the amazing restaurants to choose from.

We were met by a lovely friendly lady on reception. The room was clean and modern. Our request for two single beds had been met. Coffee and tea making facilities, kettle, toaster etc and lovely toiletries in the bathroom too. My daughter had a good sleep but unfortunately I woke up with backache but I think it’s because the pillows are too big and fluffy for me! The bonus is we had netflix too and great free wifi. A really nice stay and central to Auckland city.

The fact that it’s central to Auckland city unfortunately has its drawbacks. I’d say bring earplugs as there’s lots of noise from the street below. Not sure if it was music from a ‘one off’ party or a bar nearby but it was loud and went on for hours. Not the fault of the hotel.
