Location was great. Most staff were very helpful including upgrading our room. Food was outstanding. Lovely restaurant area.

Receptionist could smile a bit more and be a bit more helpful. Wrong information on website Re opening hours of the bar. Initial room was a bit dark and stunk of chemicals. Wifi not great, programme stopped half way through. Staff couldn’t fix it when asked. Beds very hard resulting in sore back and restless sleep.

Very comfy bed, quiet and easy-to-use air-con, very nice swimming pool & lounge chairs, across road from the beautiful rose gardens, excellent restaurant (which we used for dinner twice). Glad we stayed during weekend since there is noise from renovations during week.

No lift access to 1st floor; external concrete steps; our room booking said it had a garden view but it didn't; Villa 4 neighbour abused us for stopping our car outside reception; room didn't supply a welcome booklet with any relevant info, eg for tv or where to go in case of fire.

I like that it has parking vacuities that is free, that is very helpful especially in Auckland. I like that it has a swimming pool even though it was under construction at the time, and I appreciate the elevators. The room service was pretty spot on. I was welcomed into a nice room with the aircon on and I will miss that TV.

I didn’t like that it didn’t have cooking vacillates or microwave in the room itself. You have to either pay for the food there or go out of your way to get something in the city, I was looking forward to cooking my own dishes during my stay but I should have checked beforehand. The room that I had didn’t have a fan in the bathroom, a fan would’ve helped with the smell.

The room was great value for money and the beds were very comfortable. High standard of cleanliness and convenient free parking. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I return to Auckland in the future.

There was a lot of noise coming from the next room late at night. The soundproofing wasn't helped by the door between the two rooms. We couldn't call reception because the power cable for the phone was missing. The reception staff didn't seem particularly interested in the noise complaint when raised the following morning during checkout, but did state that the issue with the phone would be sorted.

Our room had been recently renovated and was lovely - new furniture and furnishings and lovely new bathroom. There is a bar & restaurant onsite plus room service so easy to get something to eat or drink

The walls were quite thin - I sleep with earplugs so wasn’t too bothered - but when earplugs were out there was a fair bit of thumping & banging from other rooms. Also we were above the pool so could hear people there plus all of their conversations. We had our adult daughter with us in a separate room - the shower in that blocked & flooded the bathroom and the curtains didn’t meet properly in the middle so the sun came streaming in early in the morning

Excellent location. Beautiful rose garden opposite. Relatively close to Newmarket train station for easy transport to concerts at Eden Park. Very friendly helpful staff

The connecting door between our room and the room next door was not adequate. It just had a flimsy chain - no secure bolt. Our unknown neighbours tried to get into our room while we were out. Door was ajar when we got back. The chain held but was very long that it would have been possible to reach stuff left on the table near the door. Simple solution would be to install a bolt / strong lock on the connecting door.

We arrived on the Northern Explorer afrer spedning a day travelling from Wellington and the accommodation was very close to the station, although we were charged $20 by the taxi driver to travel the short distance. I would like to return to this hotel at another time. Auckland was crazy with crowds of visitors who came for a concert. The venue for the concert was very close to the Auckland Rose Park Hotel so it was very busy. This created a demand so that the price of accommodation was drastically escalated. The renovations that have been done to the rooms make the rooms bright, clean and comfortable.

They had the aircon on in the room before we got there which made it lovely to relax in after a long drive. The location of the hotel was great, we went for a walk in the rose gardens which was just across the road and it was a short uber to the location of the concert we attended which was the reason for being in Auckland.

The renovation sounds, however that was to be expected and they did make it clear that the hotel was being worked on so I really can't fault them for that too much. Could have used cutlery in the room e.g forks. it was hard to eat local takeaway.

Our favourite accomodation when staying in Auckland. Our trip date was moved at short notice then we decided we'd like to stay an extra night and the team were wonderful, flexing our bookings and making sure we were accommodated for throughout the duration of our stay. The team were all fabulous, check-in was a breeze and everyone we met was kind, friendly and super helpful. Our room was clean and inviting, with all the conveniences we'd need for a comfortable stay, excellent job with the room refresh. In-room A/C was a delight and the clean, modern bathroom had excellent shower pressure. Our beds were very clean and comfy, a delight to relax in after a few long, busy days. The hotel has a gorgeous outlook in the quieter skirts of the CBD, perfect for rest and relaxation, with a short, easy walk to and from the bustle of the city centre.

My schedule was too packed so I wasn't able to indulge in the breakfast buffet 😥 I imagine it was just as delicious as every other time I've stayed

Nice hotel ,friendly staff, very clean really liked it, stayed with two toddlers and worked great with them

Was sent and email to say the pool was open but when we arrived it was still under construction so had two upset kids Also does not have a microwave or toaster to make basic food ,or even plates/utensils I later found out you have to go get these from the restaurant. Also has a very small fridge so had to use a chili bin for most of our food/anything we wanted colder /for ice ect Otherwise we really enjoyed staying here for our family holiday
