Wendy and Michael were the consummate hosts and were discreet, but available when needed. The room was clean with everything needed for my short stay, including a private ensuite. It was too cold for the pool, but I enjoyed a lovely quiet afternoon in the sun, sitting on the deck, listening to the cows in the nearby paddock. The property is an easy 7 minute drive from the middle of town, but why bother with town when there’s so many beautiful views to be had nearby. It’s conveniently located within less than an hour and a half of everything the region has to offer - Rotorua, Waitomo Glowworm Caves, Hobbiton, Bridal Veil Falls and much more.

We stayed here for 2 nights and were completely satisfied. We have been traveling for 6 weeks, previously 3 weeks in Hawaii and it was one of the best places to stay for the price. The beds are comfortable, the host very friendly. Everything was clean and nicely furnished. It's nice and quiet on site and you can hear the birds chirping. We also liked Cambridge, where the host gave us good tips for restaurants and excursions.

The room was well equipped and spotlessly clean. There was plenty of information about the surrounding area and our hosts were more than willing to help and expand on this if necessary. The items for breakfast were just what you want( cereal, bread, fruit, yoghurt and jams) and nice and fresh. The garden and surroundings were beautiful and the swimming pool was the icing on the cake. There was also a hot tub, although we didn’t use this. We cannot recommend this accommodation enough, it was a lovely way to wind down after our trip from the UK and would be a great place to tour from as a base.

The facilities Spa & Pool, kitchenettes, comfortable beds & linen, both indoors and outdoors was superb.

We just felt the need to give guests more privacy. We appreciated that you like to check up and see if we’re ok or if we need anything but didn’t feel yous needed to do that as we had your phone number an email if we did need yous.

Applecross is in a beautiful setting, with very friendly hosts (who even do your washing up as there is no kitchen sink!) We were only there for one short night, so weren't able to use the pool or fully appreciate the lovely garden. Breakfast items are provided - and plentiful! The bed was very large and comfortable, so we had an excellent night's sleep!

(Washing machine and tumble dryer, despite being listed, are not in apartment. Not a problem for us as we didn't need them.)

Wendy was very friendly. The place was very clean including Bedding as well as the towels. There were so many types of tea, so much fruits juice, yoghurt, bread, cereals n lots of spread. We were spoilt for choice. As soon as she heard information on Covid, she informed us immediately of the issue. Very honest & upfront with everything. Even offered a refund if we were to leave. I would love a sink in the kitchen / lounge area to fill the kettle. Instead of going into the bathroom all the time.

The room was warm and bed cosy. Had all you needed, felt private even though connected to the house. Loved the spa pool! Enjoyed a nice spa in the cool country farm air.

Was a nice place to stay, slightly further from town than we expected, but would definitely stay again as it was convienant and enroute for our travels.

WeWe were made to feel very welcomed by hosts Wendy and Mike. They were both friendly and very accommodating. The facilities were clean and had everything we need for a young family of four. Our unit was equipped with toys and books for kids and various magazines and books for the grown ups. We were lucky enough to be blessed with good weather so enjoyed our time in their Hot Spring spa which was very luxurious. We especially loved the variety of options available for breakfast and of course the coffee can't be beat. Lots of information available on what we can do in Cambridge. Thank you again for making our short stay a memorable one. We're looking forward to our next trip to Cambridge and to stay in Applecross again.

Can't fault anything.

A special place to have a rest and enjoy the pool and the Spa. The bedroom and he space with a good dining table. Good place to relax. The breakfast was very good everything you need for a very good breakfast. Fruits, milk cereals

I would prefer a little sink for the dishes, however we just had to put the dishes in a box and they are washed.

This was one of the last stops on our jolly around north island, staying in a variety of accommodation from motels to fancy hotels. Can honestly say this was one of the nicest and by a long long way, the best value for money. The holiday house has everything you need, their are games for the kids and kind owners. The pool and hot tub were super and the couple keep an immaculate and beautiful garden ***** Breakfast simple and just what we needed. Would recommend.
