I like the functionality of the en suite accessible accommodation that we had stayed in. My husband uses electric wheelchair, the shower area is with flat roll in floor and shower chair and hand rails. The room is slightly small but we managed to move the chairs to one side to create space so he can move around and to get in and out of the bed more easily. We like the availability of the shared kitchen and dining area of the motel guests kitchen. We were thankful for the bread and cereal and hot drinks that were provided that we could help ourselves to them. The lift worked well in bringing my husband (on his wheelchair) and our belonging to go upstairs to the room

The front entrance to the motel is not quite accessible for wheelchair. However, we adapted and used the mat on the front to place over the front raised floor. From where we had parked our mobility vehicle at the designated parking space near the front entrance of the motel, my husband had to wheel to the street pavement in order to be able to wheel on flat ground to the entrance (before the next huddle of getting to go up the step to enter the motel “lobby area”. Hopefully there are either flatten box or improvised platform (or a proper rubber rump) will be available to enable wheelchair users like my husband be able to enter the motel lobby more easily.

It was amazing to find somewhere so central for such a reasonable price. We had 2 ajoining rooms for 3 adults sharing the toilet and shower, which was wonderfully clean and came with amenities. There was a lift available to up to the rooms, amazing wi fi and there was aircon and a tv, in the room which we didn't use but was available. The common kitchen was well equiped with cereal coffee tea sugar and milk, and their was a balcony that you were able to sit outside and eat or have a drink. Parking was behind the property, which was convienent and safe. There was a service station across the road so you could buy any late night snacks, a Thai restaurant was in the complex and a chinese take away and a bottle store right next door. Cafe across the road and also 3 shops away. Highly recommend this place and we would definately stay again.

I couldn't really fault the place for the price. Just remember don't expect 5 star for 3 star prices. I think the only problem was that the disabled toilet/shower although had been cleaned, still smelt untouched.

Simple but spacious room - I actually think they upgraded me to a larger room, which had 1 queen bed and 1 single bed, for the same price. Nice shower, hot water with plenty water pressure. Heat pump. Tv. Plenty towels. Attentive - allowed me to keep my MTB away to avoid being outside. Easy booking, booked just a few hours from check-in! No frills check-in/ check-out. Guest kitchen - Tea, instant coffee and cereal provided at no extra cost. Space to cook and plenty tables to eat. Iron board and iron available if required. Blow dryer in the room. Easy parking off-street, not visible from the main road. Good location, on the main strip in Cambridge, straight off the motorway. Easy walking distance from coffee shops. My main intention being to Ride the Te Ana River Ride, turned out to be a great starting point - able to start cycling in the morning from the motel, and having a shuttle from RiverSide Adventures bring me and bike back to Cambridge.

Loved how quick it was to check in; WiFi was very good throughout hotel. Liked the communal kitchen and it was kept very tidy with lots of utensils etc. free basic breakfast provided as well as tea and coffee. In the room there was a nice little biscuit; fresh towels and in the communal showers there was towels that were clean too and also individual shampoo and soap. It was a really good stay I was impressed room had a fridge extra pillow etc and I slept really well; also check out was easy as all you had to do was place keys in box

The parking was difficult but that was literally my only issue. I had a room closer to the back so wasn’t loud but would recommend bringing some ear plugs just in case. Don’t let that put you off though.

Friendly, excellent service, great vibes from the staff. I loved the location, and ease of checking in, coming and going was a breeze too. The aircon was a blessing, and the shower pressure was brilliant, I really enjoyed my showers. The water from the sink reminded me of a country overseas, hard to explain, but wonderful.

Not a deal breaker, but nice to haves. In our room, perhaps a bit more brighter lighting would have been nice as it was quite gloomy. And also, power sockets on each side of the bed would be great. How about a peephole, hard to know who is on the other side?

The owner was so lovely.... She had let me check on extremely early. . She was lovely. The staff where all still busy cleaning and sorting the other rooms. The brunette main cleaner went right outta off her way to make sure I had settled in OK ... She has so many qualities that are so hard to find in great staff..... Thank you to the team..

Accommodation personal aiming to please, went the extra kilometers... The part of town it's located was outstanding, tons to do within walking or biking distance. Has a kitchen. We stayed in their handicapped room which we stayed in last minute, a huge room, massive bathroom with proper facilities for where chair with a lift to second floor...really a good value property for the price. The man running it was flexible with our booking due to a schedule change. No issues.

Clean and tidy everywhere we went. No 1 Motel in Cambridge exceeded our expectations, which we appreciated. Cheap and cheerful and we are so glad there was availability at such short notice. We stayed in Rms 20 & 21.

Some maintenence upkeep in the room could be addressed, however it was all good enough for us.

We checked in late and the manager was very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.

My only criticism was I could hear my friends talking in the room next to me and the shower area was a little small to move around it. Otherwise, it is a very good find for value for money accommodation. Thank you!

Well no complaints from us cos we parked by the Thai restaurant but lucky we did cos we were leaving early and if we had parked around the back we would not have got out as there was a car and trailer parked outside nail parlor and another car opposite on the footpath...we would not have been happy if we could not have got out.
