We had a wonderful big, comfortable room (handicapt room behind the stairs left from reception). Very nice bed and shower, relaxing. Staff was very helpfull when we needed them. Room was clean and tidy. Location was perfect and we could walk to the center and lots of restaurants around (we loved the 1950's Dinner 66 just around the corner the in walking distance)

Nothing really everything is perfect for a wonderful stay. Maybe the only thing is that the door to the room is a very heavy and sturdy fire door, I could hardly get it open myself. But there is nothing to do about that.

Was clean and tidy, comfy beds, and warm bedding. Couldn't fault any of that. The staff was lovely and it was easy to find. Good location, walk to town about 20 minutes with kids, but an easy, flat walk. Not too much in the direct vicinity, but that wasn't an issue for us.

If I had one very (very) small critique, it would be that a lot of basic things (like glasses and the shower head) were out of my reach (I'm 5'2). My 6ft husband could reach, but me and the kids not so much. If you don't have a tall person in your party maybe ask staff to put them in a lower cupboard for you :)

I stay at this motel whenever I come to Christchurch and I keep coming back because the rooms are exceptional, clean , new and everything I need is there. The owners are the real bonus though as they are truly a lovely couple and they are always pleased to see me and treat me well. This last trip I was given an upgrade to my room with a small private courtyard that I could access from my room. I have travelled a lot over the years and this facility is one of the very bestv I have stayed at and the price is a lot lower than other comparable motels.

There is nothing I dislike about my stays at this motel.

Good size, access to outside by patio door, close to parking, comfy bed, good TV, with Sky sports and movies. Shower wetroom. Easy walk to city centre. Looks pretty new and solid building. Some nice coffee.

Shower wetroom shower head too low for me, water splashes around room, but stays overnight not draining away. Bathroom sink slow to drain.

Spacious unit. Host dealt with some noisy guests quite promptly so didnt go into the night. Good shower pressure! Bed reasonably comfortable. Pretty tidy unit

Kitchen needed glasses and larger bowls. Couch was quite worn, collapsing in multiple places on the seat of it.

They look after me and the room is so close to where I park. I thank them for that as Im 75yrs old with a sore hip especially after walking the Malls and shopping.

no robe hooks. very limited kitchen equipment. not really suitable for cooking family meals. parking ok but tight fit for larger vehicles. bathroom small but adequate couch very uncomfortable

Reasonable price, location, very friendly staff.

Parking area is difficult to maneuver. Door to room difficult to open and hold open. This was a room set up for disabled persons, but it would be very hard for a disabled person to open the door. it seems that closing mechanism is improperly adjusted.

Great Location! Great Staff, Spacious and comfortable Accommodation we were looking for. We were upgraded to an even nicer room with a balcony. Would absolutely stay here again when we return to Christchurch

If I'm being fussy- I wish the bed had an electric blanket to our sleep even more comfortable - however the heat pump kept us warm during these winter nights.

Cathy was absolutely amazing at suiting my needs for my stay. This is the second time I have stayed here and it has been amazing service each time. Even tho they are on a busy road, it is nice and quiet, and the beds are super comfortable. It was very nice of Cathy to ring us and let's us know that we had left something behind not long after we left.
