This is a small, clean hotel not far (about 15-20 minutes walk) from the centre of Christchurch. The room itself wasn't big, but we didn't spend much time there, so that didn't matter. Despite being just outside the city centre, it was a pleasant walk there, and it's also close to Hagley Park. There are also good eating and drinking places close by if you don't want to go into the city centre.

There's very limited on-site parking (which, to be fair, they mention before booking), and it needs some tight negotiation down a narrow driveway to get in and out. It seems there is usually street parking, but when we were there, it was closed for construction.

The rooms were clean and comfy. The bed was really nice and the bathroom had everything you needed. We didn't use the kitchenette much, but it was practical. A nice quiet location, very close to hagley Park and lots of restaurants, bars and cafes around. The cleaning staff were very friendly.

While we booked the hotel knowing there was no reception, we did feel like we missed the social interaction and welcome from staff. It also meant we couldn't ask for recommendations for places to eat or see. The only bad thing was the shower going cold after 5 minutes or so. We had to turn it up very high or on and off again.

Upon arriving it was unclear what to do to find out which room we were meant to be in. We saw a phone on the wall eventually and picked it up and connected to a person who told us which room To go to and the code to enter room. Turns out that room was in use! Could have been embarrassing if people were there but not good for security either. Upon ringing back we were then given another room number and code. Apart from that our stay was lovely thank you.

Lack of signage to find out how to access room no with no reception area.

Modern room & facilities, great location close to restaurants

Room was soundproofed adequately. We could hear noise (tv’s & people talking) from neighbouring rooms, especially from the room above where we heard footsteps and creaking when they walked across the room (their floor and our ceiling). Our room was also located next to the front door so every time the front door opened & closed we heard it right behind our bedhead. Not the best sleep that’s for sure!!

- modern, recently renovated rooms with all you need including a small kitchenette. - quiet and peaceful neighborhood - good location, not far from CBD and the airport, plus surrounded by various cafes and restaurants to dine in. - clean, daily cleaning offered but you can ask not to disturb if you don’t need it - good value for money

- thin walls, you can hear people walking down the hallway especially in the morning, so maybe not ideal if you want to sleep in.

Location was excellent, a short walk to the centre of Christchurch. Lots of cafes and bars in the vicinity. Gardens and parklands nearby. The property itself was neat and clean.

There was no staff on duty on the property except the cleaners when they were cleaning. Use of laundry had to fit around the cleaners. There was construction opposite the property in the small street and that was noisy from early in the morning.

The most comfortable bed we had in a very long time! The whole room is very modern and clean and has a nice kitchen area. Due to bad weather during our stay in Christchurch we spent a lot of time in the hotel room and it was not a waste of time at all because we felt really comfortable there! Self check-in was very easy, too. You can use the washing machine and dryer for only two dollars! The hotel is located near a big park and a little walk away from the city centre. Overall, it is a perfect place to stay, and we will definitely come back when visiting Christchurch!

Have stayed here multiple times and lived up to expectations, comfy, clean, easy walking distance to town and nice and quiet neighbourhood. Would stay again.

First time staying on the ground floor and would not recommend. Got woken up at 6.30am on a Sunday by people moving around upstairs and water moving through the pipes, did not have this previously staying upstairs. Would recommend requesting a room upstairs!

Great base for settling in at the end of a busy day. Felt luxurious with high ceilings. Loved the shower and bed very comfy. Close to Hagley Park and a bit of a walk but to the Botanic Gardens. Note: This is not a hotel that has a reception desk so book elsewhere if you really need it - it was fine for me and I liked how close my car was parked to the building and access to all major road routes. Nice and quiet the three nights I stayed but my hearing isn't crash hot.

Couldn't work out if I could put subtitles on Netflix. I have bad hearing so I ended up having tv up quite loud.
