The staff were lovely. We had to stay another night here due to some personal reasons and the staff was super nice to change things around and make it that our next day booking was in the same room. The room was really nice and spacious. There is tea and coffee facilities in the room, a cafe/bar/restaurant down stairs on property. They have a gym. Parking is available for an added price. Walking distance from outside restaurants and shopping centre/ grocery stores. Activities: is about roughly an hour away from the castle and the penguin viewing site. Definitely recommend seeing the penguin, worth the trip and money.

Having free parking for staying guests would have been nice. It's a bit of a hassle if you have to pay for parking when you're staying at the property already. Maybe something to look into when improving the hotel. Otherwise loved the place would Def stay again.

I was initially booked into a room in the older side of the hotel, but I did ask about the noise as there is a building site right across the road and it's located on a busy road. To my surprise when I returned later to go to my room, which initially wasn't ready, they told me I had been upgraded to their superior room in the newer more modern building with double-glazed windows. The room was spacious and great with a small balcony. Nice big bed, clean and lovely bathroom with powerful modern shower. Staff were friendly and parking at the hotel was easy and convenient.

Even though the shower was great, due to the strong water pressure and the type of shower caddy it was very hard to manoeuvre the shower head away from the shower door so the water would spray through the side of the glass door. Even though the windows were double-glazed, I still heard traffic noise as on a busy road but not too bad.

rooms were a good size, friendly staff, dinner at the hotels restaurant was delicious, location was great

car parking can be a little bit of a problem with limited spots and the hotel doesn’t reserve it. the door to our bathroom was a little bit odd, had to really slam the door for it to lock as the lock seemed to be broken. i understand the purpose of the sensor light, but it was quite frustrating if you went to the bathroom at night time you would wake up your room with the light turning on.

Nice comfortable room and bed. Handy to the Intercity bus stop and 10 minutes' walk to the main part of town. Guest laundry was good.

Disliked · On arrival I was happy to see the room had a bath but generally when I turned the taps on no water came out. Once or twice during my 4-day stay water came out but it was very random. E.g. once I turned the taps on and water came out but when I stupidly turned them off then tried again nothing came out. I reported it to Reception after the first night and assumed they would have it fixed but nothing happened. I brought it up again and someone from Housekeeping came to see but still nothing was done. Very disappointing!

The location and wifi is good

House keeping is before 10:00? We stayed for 2 days so slept late on the second day but the house keeping knocked the door before 10:00 so we told him to do house keeping later but he skip the house keeping on the second day so I wondered if it was the policy of the hotel that the house keeping should be done before 10:00? The bathroom wasn’t good, it might be handicapped but we don’t need handicapped. We prefer dry separate shower room as I chose the room type from booking but it was not like the choice that I made

The location was great. It's just next to New world, Countdown, and other shopping places in central. I paid for parking $15 a day at hotel, which is good considering there are street parking issues some times.

When we checked in, the staff gave us a different King room, which did not look the same as Booking.com photos. We had the courage to go and ask the reception and they changed the rooms. Would appreciate if they gave the same room as they advertised.

Well located in Dunedin with walking distance access to restaurants, bars and some attractions such as the train station. Also the Countdown and New World nearby was convenient. Staff went out of their way to be friendly.

Parking was full, so I needed to use the overflow parking at Wilson's Carpark, the rate was the same but you loose the multiple entry and exits that you get with the hotel default parking. I wish that the "king" bed wasn't just two single beds joined together, I find it really disingenuous when hotels advertise a king bed without specifying that it's two singles. So I would recommend the Queen option.

Perfect location being walkable to everywhere and just a couple of blocks to the Octagon. The room was clean with a good gym, and good value for money.

We stayed on the 1st floor above the reception, and could hear thudding club music in the distance most of the nights and very early mornings. Also the bus station nearby had some dodgy people from time to time so be careful when walking around at night.

Loved the peace and quiet .loved the balcony Loved how we had a kitchen bench with microwave Loved the beds they were comfy so much I slept in

The swinging door at end of the hallway every time someone went through it we would hear the bang of the door . Quite loud. The cards you get for your room door well ours wouldn't work a few times. We weren't told not to put room dr cards by phones. This is something they need to make everyone aware of.

Superb location in the CBD, and with two supermarkets within 2 min walking distance. I had a large room in the older wing that was spotlessly tidy, and had very comfy bed and pillows. No air conditioning, but the fan provided was satisfactory enough to deal with heat. Helpful and friendly staff at the front desk. Restaurant breakfast was swiftly delivered, generously sized, and the coffee was excellent. Future construction site across the road, but quiet when I visited. Won't let the construction put me off staying here again, as location really is excellent and noise is expected in any CBD.

No cutlery other than teaspoons in the room (made opening the supplied milk carton a little tricky), and my tv remote was occasionally temperamental. Neither was inconvenient enough to complain about.
