We were delayed in checking in until after midnight due to a car crash blocking the road on a state highway. After ringing the owner and explaining he was so helpful and facilitated our late arrival. He had turned on the heating in the room so nice and cozy when we got there. He had supplied biscuits for us as well. Nothing was a problem. The next morning although we prepared to checkout he said because of our late arrival we could have a late check out at no extra cost. We had places to be so didn't take up the offer but that was a brilliant thing to have offered. Very considerate. Room was very comfortable. Bed super comfy. Quiet place to stay. Parking good.

Shower great but could be a bit bigger - but this did not detract from the overall excellent experience.

The owner was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The location is perfect, off the main road and nestled in a gorgeous lush tropical setting. We loved the wine barrel in the outdoor BBQ area, which we would have used if it had been warmer weather. We loved the little back door at the back of the unit that looked out onto lush greenery. We really loved the high architecturally designed ceilings and the colour scheme. We also really liked the landscaping. Everything was beautifully tidy and well manicured.

Friendly welcome, late checkout allowed. Good location for exploring Geraldine - friendly dog! Guest laundry available. Not found in other stays. Well kept garden and seating areas and everything necessary was provided in the units.

Older building, so sound proofing between rooms not too good. Could have done with power socket on both sides of the bed. No electric blanket either, although summer and not needed - but have been available in most other places.

Owners were very friendly, and helpful. The site was easy to find. Car parking right outside the room. Clean, comfortable and well appointed rooms. Easy walk into the town for dinner. After staying in a number of motels throughout the South Island this was outstandingly the best, and the best value for money, in a fabulous little town. Would definitely highly recommend. Perfect!

We were only there one night!

John is super friendly and happy to share tips like visiting the rhododendron walkway in Geraldine. The motel is at walking distance from the town, and parking right at your door if you prefer to drive. We didn't feel anything was missing, everything was clean and comfortable (great shower, comfortable bed). I'd definitely choose this place again when passing through Geraldine and break up the trip between Chch and the Lakes.

We had a really large room with a king size bed, 2 comfortable side chairs, a small 2 seater dining table and a kitchenette including an electric skillet. Bed comfy and plenty of hot water. John, the owner, even left us cookies and milk - which were delicious. Motel is in a quiet area just on outskirts of Geraldine.

Everything was great

Very nice accommodation handy to town/shops. Very helpful and friendly staff. The covered BBQ area was great and we made use of it. Also a little area to sit outside our unit was nice to.

The second night the people in the next unit talked loudly till after midnight. But thats not the owners fault. Really the place cant be faulted.

Very cheerful welcome, everything I needed for a 3 night stay. Although it was on a main road being slightly set back means not a lot of traffic noise.

One side window by sink has no blind, so when person in next room put light on at 2.30 in the morning it seemed to light up whole room but I am a light sleeper !!!!

Excellent, very well run motel set in a quiet part of town but walking distance through a pleasant Riverside park to the local pub. Very comfortable and nicely designed rooms with all the facilities necessary. Very good value for money. Geraldine is a lovely place to stop on the way to Mount Cook.

Everything was great

Relatively quiet considering its close to the main road. Good parking and lovely grounds. The unit was quite small and dark as only window other than bathroom was in the kitchen but perfectly fine for an overnight stay. Nice modern decor and a very comfy beds with plenty of pillows. Very clean and tidy.

One small kitchen window had no curtain. We used a tray to block it. One light bulb over the bed wasn't working and there were sockets on only one side of the bed. Minor issues really.
