I didn't get the breakfast, but was happy to be able to use the small kitchenette for the week. The spa bath was brilliant, the bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains were ideal. The parking was excellent, loaction fantastic, very spacious and felt like a little bit of luxury in a very busy week. It felt safe and secure.

The spa was very noisy to use - I worried I was disturbing the neighbours with a late night soak. Kitchenette could do with an extractor fan. The 'Harbour View' was virtually non-existent, and the noise from the main highway meant sitting on the balcony was less than peaceful. I also didn't realise the seating was on a shared balcony (where my table and chairs were borrowed one day and never returned by the neighbours...). No one was in the office when I arrived, and I had to ring twice before someone came to check me in.

Great location across the street from Caroline Bay. Very friendly staff at the front desk arranged for us to have a room with a view for a two-night stay. The room was clean and spacious -- we were delighted to see a separate living room and kitchenette separated from the bedroom with a door.

It's a motel, so the rooms all face a busy highway with a lot of traffic noise. The windows and doors are double-paned, so it's not that bad when everything is closed, but we prefer to sleep with the window open for ventilation and fresh air. The room smelled like air freshener/cleaning supplies and we would have preferred no carpet.

Kate was very accommodating, she allowed us to have a late arrival and even waited back at the office to greet us. Knowing we were coming from Australia she warmed the room so when we arrived we were nice and warm, she also supplied us with extra blanket for the bed and couch. The room was equipped with all your cooking equipment with is a great touch for those long stays and reduce the added cost of eating out whilst on holidays.

Very central, on the road into Timaru, close to the centre of town. Two rooms with a separate bedroom so great space, also as it was on a noisy main road this made the sleeping space very quiet. Friendly and helpful owner, even made us espresso coffee one morning! Warm and cozy despite being wet and windy outside.

Road use in living room, although double glazing so it was bearable.

I only stayed one night, perfectly suited for what I needed. Cooking faculties good, bed nice and comfy. Free parking in motel car park. Good location, could walk to Caroline Bay penguin viewing spot, and also could walk to town centre and restaurants. Good sound proofing, it’s in the main road but could barely hear traffic. Staff very nice too.

No complaints! Was just right for my needs.

Everything was great for a small town like Timaru. I was not expecting too much, anyway. was a short but comfortable stay. The only thing if I can remember correctly the room heaters were not that great. But there were enough blankets. so no complaints. Will be great if reversible Aircons can be added (can work through out the year)

Very grateful for manager's cheerful help with info on locality and plane flights. Comfortable beds, excellent shower and sound-proofing in unit.

Harbour view name definitely misleading. We hadn't realised view would be of busy traffic on SH 1 and main trunk railway beyond it. Not tempted to sit on balcony in case we died of carbon monoxide poisoning........

Excellent accomodation modern, clean and comfortable and close to all amenities. Absolutely fantastic!

Unfortunately our room was facing onto SHW1 so you couldn't leave the slider open due to traffic noise. However the bedrooms were at the back of the apartmentt you couldnt hear the noise at all. Great!

Clean, comfortable and handy to restaurants.

Nightly charge was reasonable but being charged and extra $30 to leave our bags in the room because we arrived nearly 3 hours earlier than usual check in time was very annoying. . Room hadn't been occupied the night before and was available. We simply put our bags in the room and left to find food.

Modern , clean facilities. Air-conditioning made a huge difference and was one of the reasons we chose them .

It’s a personal thing , that a great motel would stock the toilet with single ply toilet paper . Doesn’t cost much to get quality 3ply , and as we were staying 3 days we couldn’t tolerate cheap n nasty .
