View from the room was lovely. Parking close to unit. Can hear waves when there is no traffic. Coffee cart - Silver Bullet - across road. Easy parking for visitors across road in park carpark. They supply lots of things to cook with and have table and chairs to sit at.

Ranch slider is very hard to pull and lock. Lots of dry mouldy food down side of couch. Fan connected to bathroom light is on when light on which distracts from relaxation in the spa. The wall above bed head full of dust must have been a picture there. The main door is a push button, knob lock, which is the easiest to pick, so not very safe. Patio area right across front so Asians on both sides of me constantly passing giving me no privacy unless draw curtains blocking view. Even a string deterring walking along would help.

The location is great it is just in front of the ocean. You have space for parking your car it is like a classical motel. Rooms are a bit simple - meaning old school interior. But it has everything what an apartment needs basically. Receptionist was friendly at check-in...watch out for the hours its not 24 hr. When we left we could not find anyone, but you can drop the key into the box. Yes so the location is super great!

Not much to add here. Simple place, bit old school in the design. But its perfect for sleeping. Bathroom is a bit small, but again these are nothing to worry about. The location is cool (said it a few times) and for sleeping its perfect, spacious otherwise.

The room was located on the ground floor and the ranch slider opened onto a fenced terraced area with individual small tables for each room and was only a few steps to the pool. The pool was actually really nice for a cooling dip and only the three room adjacent to us seemed to use it. The bathroom was nice with a large spa bath and shower above. I didn't use the spa bath but the shower and water pressure was great and the towels were nice an fluffy. The beds were super comfy too. The beach was just across the road in front and there was a nice café in a silver retro caravan and ice cream kiosk over the road where some play parks were located for small children.

I could hear some slight noise from the room above when they were walking but honestly it was not really a problem and i couldn't hear anything else

The location is so great! Perfect for what I needed and so easy to come and go. Being able to open your door and enjoy the ocean is a huge bonus! Our room was spotlessly clean and well serviced each day.

The on-site carpark is SO tight! It's almost impossible to get out of your car, and if a large car parks in the wrong spot, you can't get out at all. The soundproofing between floors could do with an upgrade. The chairs in our room weren't very comfortable but as we were out a lot this wasn't too inonconvenient. The advertised continental breakfasts didn't seem to be available, and the information folders in the rooms need updating..it looks like it's been a while...

My room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom had everything I needed and the spa was an added bonus. The facilities in the bedroom were good. I would’ve preferred more herbal teas as there weren’t any and I don’t drink regular tea or coffee. Bed was comfortable everything else was good.

The radio by the bed didn’t work properly or was just too difficult to manage to tune and to get the time I did try for while but I didn’t get anywhere with it. Other than that. The TV was okay.

Right opposite the sea. Easy walk into Napier centre. Napier is just gorgeous with all the are deco buildings and the care they have given to making the sea frontage beautiful. Coloured fountains at night etc. Motel well appointed. Welcoming staff. Clean and very comfortable room. Great shower. Enough mugs, plates etc. Bed very good and a balcony to look at the sea. Although on the road to town, hardly any cars came through at night so peaceful. Off road parking. Would recommend.

We had a lovely balcony looking over the water. The room was spacious with a well equipped kitchen. It was an easy walk all into town for dinner. The manager was helpful with vineyards to visit.

The car park was extremely small and difficult to get in and out of the park. One Ute blocked the driveway so we had to detour around. The space between was very narrow with mirrors almost touching. It would not be suitable for a large car.

Great location. On marine parade. Across road from the beach. Nearby dairy, good fish and chip shop...also The Warehouse close by, very handy. Unit size good, clean and comfortable. Our beds were just right. Staff friendly and responsive . Would return.

Bathroom essentials very limited....small bottles...only 1 of each for two people, for two nights...shampoo only, small soap bars...thats it !!!

We were unfortunate enough to get caught up in Cyclone Gabrielle and were stuck in Napier for 3 extra days. We were left with no power, no internet, no communication and no way out of the town. Thankfully we were at the Edgewater with the most amazing Manager ever, Gaigan! Gaigan was incredible and did all that he could to make our stay as comfortable as possible, with no information on what was happening or how long this would go on for. Gaigan was able to get hold of a BBQ and gas bottle and cooked hash browns for us all, and most importantly he boiled water so we could all enjoy a hot drink, when everything else was cold. He was calm and organised, when we heard rumours of other Motel Managers leaving their guests with nothing. He is an absolute credit to your Motel. The motel itself was clean and comfortable, but staff can certainly make or break a hotel and Gaigan made this place exceptional. I'd give 100 stars if I could.

It would be unfair to rate anything as unlikeable given the circumstances. But even without Cyclone Gabrielle, I could not say that there was anything that I did not like.

We traveled from Gisborne to see the Warriors game. Thankfully we booked last year as Napier was packed with Warriors fans. Our room was nice and clean. Staff were great, no complaints there. My partner & son loved the spa bath!

Parking was difficult. Not alot of room, big vehicles parking in parks that made it difficult for others to manoeuvre into parks. No heatpump in room, although there was a heater.
