The property was in a really good location in a quiet street but very close to the foreshore & main shopping streets . I also appreciated the extreme cleanliness of the property ,

The main thing that I didn’t like in the particular 1 bedroom apartment was the acoustics , on the first night I could hear the lady next door coughing. On y The subsequent 2 nights we could hear very clearly the night time activities of our neighbours in the adjoining apartment despite 2 walls between us . However this sort of thing is out of control of the management & out bad luck . This may not be the case on other apartments . We were in an 1st floor apartment which could also be used as a 2 bedroom apartment

Location was perfect, close to shops and restaurants. The next door carpark worked well for us and it only cost $1 an hour during working hours or $5 per day, overnight parking was free.

The young woman on reception who booked us in on the afternoon of Thursday 1 June, was not very friendly. She made me feel I was an imposition. It didn't seem like she enjoyed her job - not the right attitude for front facing staff. I went back to her later and mentioned there may be a problem with the water supply as I could only get hot water out of both taps, no cold. Her reply was "I am not a plumber"!

Excellent location. Beautiful room with good amenities. Nice building all around. Very comfortable bed and good shower.

Friendly, but slightly awkward check-in. I was told my payment hadn't gone through, which was then clarified that Booking.com HAD taken it, but hotel hadn't received it. Not a necessary thing to tell me, which made me feel like I'd done something wrong. Parking is not free (despite this being one of my two search filters on Booking.com), but was free in carport next door after 6pm. If paying at hotel it's $14/day.

Highly recommend this as a place for two couples. We had one shared entrance, then two rooms with own doors off that. Worked really well as we had our own space but could leave a door open when ready to catch up without having to leave it open to the corridor or see into each others rooms. Also had space to sit and have a cuppa and a chat. Couch and chair looked small but were actually really comfortable.

TV's are small, limited Sky channels. Noise travels through the hotel, first night it was kids running around after 10pm shrieking, not sure if there is an onsite manager. Second night it was what sounded like furniture moving, maybe someone setting up a sofa bed? We didn't have a view, just looked out at a wall. For what we were there for it was fine. Possibly the newer upstairs rooms have views, we were on the ground floor as you come in.

The staff were friendly, the service was amazing We had a little change in having to have a little child with us and the staff were able to accomodate with an extra bed. I rang right on when customer services was closing and yet the duty Manager rang me to arrange a time to bring the bed to our room...thank you so so much. As we travelled for work, the days were long and coming back to our clean and comfortable room with a great bed and shower was wonderful!!! Having good sleeps was so important.

The Quest properties were a great discovery in NZ....this was the first one we booked and we tried to find them as we continued our NZ adventure. Nice clean room, comfortable bed, friendly staff, walkable to everything in downtown Napier and access to washing machines which were super helpful on a 3-4 week trip! Note - make sure you reserve a paid parking spot at this hotel if you have a car as parking options are limited around town. Well worth the cost!

Great studio unit. Great location.

Lack of staff. We arrived just after 7pm and had to dial a number and spoke to someone who said they had opened the door to let us to get our key. We couldn’t open the door so tried ringing back with no reply. After several attempts at getting back in contact we were let in by another guest. During our one night stay we had two other groups who were unable to get access in or out of the building.

Central location and so close to restaurants, museums, art galleries etc. and the beach. Also close to the Bluff where my extended family had lived. Accommodation was generous, very well appointed, clean. Excellent. All in a old building.

Napier in the midst of cleaning up after severe flooding and storms. Impressive and timely cleanup. We were personally devastated by the flood damage on secondary roads, and felt for the people affected. Many public buildings eg museums, galleries closed because staff required for cleanup.

Ron went above and beyond to look after us and our needs, primarily a secure carpark due to having a new car. The location was excellent within walking distance to shops and restaurants and it was great they provide a list of restaurants with a map, even though we already had a reservation I think it's a great touch.

The room, particularly the bathroom, could have been cleaned a little better as there were some hairs and grime still evident. The facilities were very basic, but did what they needed and I guess for the price it was pretty good, as we had a one bedroom apartment so had good space.

When we arrived there was a wonderful lady who quickly explained accommodation details with us. Gave us helpful tips on how to spend our day in Napier. Our apartment had a huge balcony and the room was spotlessly clean and was well stocked with utensils etc. The position was perfect right in the heart of town
