Our ground floor studio unit was all we could have wished for and more! Extremely well equipped mini kitchen, super comfy bed and pillows, extras in the cupboard if we wanted. Sofa and side table plus dining table and two chairs and cushions. Outdoors on the almost private patio was a sun lounger on the paved patio, mown grass, then a reserve and then the beach - could not have been better for a quiet, relaxing all-too-short break for my partner and I; a great escape from our business lives and lifestyle block. Late check-out arranged and confirmed without prompting on check-in. Excellent facility we'd return to anytime.

No biggie, but we're both keen on a bath and this unit did not have one ... I knew that when booking though and chose this one for ground-floor and price options as well as availability. If outdoors neighbouring units conversations were audible, but not inside which is to be commended!

We love the location and comfort. Also fairly quiet considering on a main road. The bed is always comfortable although my husband found it a little firm for his taste. The temperature outside was around 30C but the ground floor room stayed comfortably cool. Location is right next to the playground and beach with shops across the road.

Had to park on the road one night as parking is not allocated. Seems to be a lot more cars there and is first in first serve. Also was a strange smell to the room but not sure if was from the beach or the bathroom.

The cleanliness, the delicious shortbread cookies, the location is easy to get to, restaurants within walking distance, beachfront views, free parking, a proper hair dryer, the lights were bright enough (hate dark dingy lighting), TV is a good size, comfortable dining chairs, spacious room, comfortable beds and pillows and reasonably priced. Always love to stay here whenever I visit Napier.

The cold tap water was okay to drink but when we boil the water in the kettle it had a chemical taste like chlorine and was unpleasant tasting and not drinkable. When we microwaved the water in the cup it did not have chemical taste, so I suspect it is the problem with the kettle. The body wash and hair conditioner dispenser are hard to press and only produces very little at a time, which is annoying, as I have to press several times to get a decent amount of liquid to use. This needs to be improved. The coffee in sachets tastes very weak, we needed 2 sachets for each cup of coffee, otherwise it is tasteless and looked white with just a bit of milk.

Location was absolutely amazing and in a prime location for kids/views/beach. Rooms were such a great size with space to move and have your family there. Views of the beach were spectacular and I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Staff were polite and helpful. Good sized fridge/freezer and oven to use if you wanted to cook why being away.

Shower could have had a bit more pressure but we were also upstairs. Other than that everything else was great! Would have loved air conditioning as it was so hot but they had really good fans there to use to keep cool.

Had an upstairs room, with wonderful views over swimming beach and port. Two cruise ships in port when we arrived and great to see them go out in the evening. Cargo and container ships coming and going, and another cruise ship arrived the day we left. Great to sit out on balcony, having breakfast and watching activities on beach, walkway/cycleway and on the water.

Microwave on bench took up a lot of room. With electric jug and toaster at one end and microwave on other end very little room to make cup of coffee and butter toast.

I liked the customer service provided on check in. Very easy to sort and great conversation. The area was nice to be in, away from the hustle and bustle of a city but also in its own sense serene. Walking to restaurants was ideal! With family friendly activities in walking distance also. I would definitely come back here again!

Not really a complaint but my room didn't have a spa bath and most of the others did. But not a major complaint. Oh my heater didn't work in my room (Room 25) and one side of the electric blanket didn't work.

Location is right on the beach overlooking the sea perfect. Comfortable beds, clean and spacious room with a balcony. Always enjoy staying here whenever we come to Napier.

Enjoyed our stay as always but was a little disappointed with one member of staff who really wasn't helpful when our TV didn't work and our bed was not made on the first morning of our stay. I had to speak to another staff member to get anything done.

Location next to beach was great for morning swims. Very clean and surprisingly spacious. Large fridge and nice kitchen well stocked. Very near nice cafes and restaurants. Liked the loungers on back porch. Towels were soft and linens were great. Washer and dryer were very modern and free to use!!!!

They close laundry at 6pm. Night time is a good time to do laundry. But we had no problem using it during the morning so no harm done.

Nice place with direct view to the sea. Big living- and bedroom. Parking was possible in front of the entrance. Staff was very helpful although my arrival was delayed and the reception actually closed already.

the room was located next to a public parking ground and pathway towards the beach. So some other guests walked from there to their room across my patio - but thats not the fault of the hotel. (you just should choose not this room)

Location is great. Right on the beach front and next to the public playground and The Boardwalk restaurant and take away. Lots of little shops and cafes around. Room was very spacious,comfortable and clean. Good to have a basic kitchen with a microwave and adequate crockery. Bowls, plates, cutlery, sharp knife, chopping board etc. No hotplate.

This motel is away from the main shopping area and in a quieter area of town. You can walk around the Esplanade, past the port to get to the main area.
