Fantastic and friendly staff. Room was super clean and was warm and cosy given it was 1 degree outside during the nights. Spectacular views of the beach and walking distance to a lot of things. We were there for a week and you got to appreciate the room size and layout more each day. Showers was good, never seem to run out of hot water, as there was a big spa bath. Wifi was pretty fast (10-50Mbps both upload and download) so you could have a few devices going as well as Teams/Zoom with no issues. There were so many plugs and we had lots of devices. Every time I would want to plug something in, there was always a free plug where you wanted it. Very upmarket place to stay, relax and enjoy.

Everything was absolutely lovely, the bed was so comfortable I struggled to get up every morning. The deep spa bath in the room where you can enjoy a nice soak and watch a movie with a glass of wine. The host made the stay extra lovely, she is beautiful and so welcoming. I said housekeeping wasn't really needed as we were there for a couple days, but she made sure we had a fresh bed and towels to come back to every day.

The parking is limited as stated and a little bit tight but that was absolutely no issue at all as there are parks right outside on the path.

This motel was in a very good location, on the sea front and close to town. We had a large ground floor room with a spa bath and parking outside our room. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was equipped with a kitchenette and utensils.

The only negative was that this was a slightly dated looking apartment, especially the spa bath. Also, as we were on the end of the row, so it was slightly dark without using any lights.

Everything -From the booking to check out, the service and management was exceptional and second to none. No request was too much-and the management were most accommodating with our numerous requests, such as storage of our large items as we attended a wedding function and had to bring all along additional items. I forgot some items and management got in touch after I left and offered to send same to me.

A great room with a wonderfully comfortable bed. The spar pool in the room was a big plus. We could not have been made more welcome by the owner. - Very central. Great walking on the beach. Plenty of cafes nearby. (Don't miss Napier Museum and the 1931 earthquake display) Internet exceptionally good - Had 3 hour zoom meeting without any problem. Room spotless clean. I would be back whenever I stayed in Napier. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Nothing to dsislike!!

Motel de la Mer is from now on, mine and my partner’s favourite (go-to) to stay somewhere in Napier city that is clean, tidy, up to excellent standard and worth every cent spent. We enjoyed the feel of the place and also the staff that were very kind and comfortable to talk to if we needed & also the manager who gave us a tour and ‘if we need anything, let us know’ I rate the Motel experience of de la Mer a 10/10 and I can’t wait to return one day soon!

This Motel is outstanding! Friendly welcoming hosts and clean and comfortable rooms. Spacious, and had beautiful little touches, plenty face cloths towels etc Olive oil body wash, Shampoo & conditioner & a lovely range of teas, coffees and mini bar snacks. Although Carparking is a bit tight there are plenty of carparks just outside of the premises however we didn't need it even over a busy public holiday stay with booked out accommodation everywhere. View is spectacular and access to children playground Skatepark directly across the road, and a sneaky Ice cream desserts shop as well. Absolutely beautiful stay and we will definitely be back next time we are in the HBay

Having to check out and go home on such a beautiful sunny day, wished we could stay longer

I've stayed here before, over 10 years ago, and it was just as fantastic. I cannot fault Motel de la Mer. The beds, comfy. The couch, comfy The bathroom, everything we needed. The staff, very friendly. The location, walking distance to what we needed.

The stairs but that's not even an issue

Like most of the Maring Parade hotels, this one has been there for awhile and is ‘efficient living’ for those who want to be as close to the beach as can be. While i liked the property and especially manager Julie, one must understand that this, like every other property we saw, is a bit tired. We love the location, Julie, and it coziness.

It is just a little tired

This particular Motel was run by two very enthusiastic and lovely people. We were made to feel as if we were the only couple staying there when in fact the place full to capacity. In addition, the cleaning staff were equally as pleasant as the owners and it was a joy to stay there from the moment we arrived until the moment we left.

Everywhere was exceptionally clean and hygienic. The beds and bed linen were really comfortable and the breakfast which was brought to our room was fresh and hot.
