Firstly, Mandy is amazing! She picked us up from the station and drove us to Antares. We really enjoyed the Stars and Vines pod and the gorgeous view right next to the vines.Every detail has been thought about for comfort with care. Bikes to ride to the river, vineyards or to dinner and back, and heaps of local knowledge about the vineyards and the area. The welcome bottle of bubbles and chocolates for our anniversary, to a wonderful breakfast laid out for us every morning, by the fabulous Mandy. We enjoyed the refreshing swims in the pool and also the gorgeous Wairau River nearby. Had a wonderful, relaxing fun weekend in 28-30 degree heat (January) and will be etched in our memories forever.

Possibly the eco toilet as we werent expecting that, but it wasnt a big issue for us, and more of a point of difference!

The location was superb, set in a beautiful garden with a variety of trees, shrubs and flowers and the sound of many different birds. The property is surrounded by vineyards and has its' own orchard of citrus trees and olives. There was also a pool and hot tub for our use. We were provided with everything we needed to make our own breakfast, with home made fruit salad and jams put in the fridge for us; and fresh baked croissants brought to us at the time of our choice. If we'd been there longer we could have used the barbeque provided for our exclusive use.

We had chosen to stay in a glamping pod, which was great. However, the eco-loo in an adjacent building had no hand-washing facilities and the adjacent bathroom is not yet complete - we had exclusive use of a bathroom in the B&B property a short walk away, but I wouldn't have wanted to walk there in the middle of the night. I'm sure the bathroom adjacent to the pod will be complete soon, but this is a minor disadvantage at the moment, even if glamping!

Mandy and Patrick are super hosts and make you feel like being home there. We got the double rooms with own kitchen and living room, which was a lot of space, well equiped, clean and a nice style. Vineyards were super easy to reach by the bikes and the view around was also fantastic, even at night with moon and stars. We liked the pool very much and the self made olive oil was one of the nice and delicious details. We will go there again, if we come back to NZL.

Mandy and Patrick are fantastic hosts with nothing being too much trouble. We felt so well looked after. Great location to explore the wineries, even on bike as they are right on the bike trail. Walking distance to a great restaurant. Quiet. Relaxing. Comfortable. Facilities great, a real home away from home. Lovely breakfast including cooked eggs and sides. Comfortable beds and good size rooms. Interesting grounds to wander and enjoy. Lots of outdoor sitting areas.

Nothing really. Could have had a sitting chair in the bedroom to relax in private, but we could easily have brought one in.

Mandy’s hospitality was warm and generous. She made us feel very much at home. The unit was very well equipped and we were able to make most of meals in the kitchen. Her breakfasts were ideal. The site is lovely, surrounded by vines and they have a beautiful entrance lane with olive trees on both side.

The Wi-Fi coverage could be improved in the common room and in the bedroom.

The views are amazing, next to and over the vineyard to the snow capped mountains. Angela and Patrick also amazing as hosts, thank you. Location brilliant for us doing wine tours. It's 50m from Hands Herzog, one of the best, and 15 minutes bike ride from Wairau River, Nautilus, Framingham, Forrest, Cloudy Bay. Or an hour's walk. We hired bikes! Lovely fresh fruit salad and yoghurt, granola/cereal/toast/fruit/plunger coffee breakfast s delivered to the pod each day, and bucket of duty dishes transformed to clean like magic. Loved trying out a glamping pod for the first time. It's cosy, just enough room for bed, (all glamping pods are like this though) tiny table, little fridge and side for crockery. WiFi not working at the pod but we brought our own. Great deck area with arty table and v comfy chairs BBQ with that amazing view. The BBQ has a gas burner so you can use it as a hob. Eco-loo just outside the pod, flushing loo and sink and shower room 20 m away in the side house with toiletries, hot tub ( solar powered so use in the afternoon) and pool other side of the main house, free for guests to use. Birdsong sublime. We had amazing spring weather, and really enjoyed being outdoors. This is an outside glamping option, no indoor space apart from small area in the pod. There are no curtains to the pod which means you can see sunrise and stars from the bed. The bed was very comfortable!

I loved it. You can see from some other reviews that people found some of the camping similarities a bit difficult, but I really enjoyed this living outdoors. I never got my energy to go jogging by the river nearby which someone else did. Another time...

Incredible quiet location. Surrounded by vineyards, lemon trees, olive grove and lovely gardens. Great to have a glass of wine in the hot tub. Tasty breakfast included. Well equipped shared kitchen and large shared lounge. After 3 weeks travelling the washing machine was a blessing !! Toiletries provided were high quality and the bed was sooooo comfortable. Having stayed in 9 hotels/motels on our New Zealand road trip this was by far the best. Only 5 minutes walk to Hans Herzog vineyard.

Poor WiFi reception. Connection possible only in one part of the lounge.

The hosts were very friendly and hospitable. The location was beautiful and very peaceful. The pod was unique and quirky and very comfortable.

We liked everything. However, the main bathroom is a short walk away. There is a toilet next to the pod but has no water,so to wash your hands you have to use main bathroom, although wipes are provided. The owners are working to expand the toilet unit to a bathroom which will be fantastic.

Lovely quiet spot on the outskirts of Blenheim. Easy to take a decent morning walk with vineyard views. Having the pool available was a real treat. Comfortable bed, great shower with fluffy towels and shampoo, etc on hand. Thank you, too, for the breakfast - delicious! We were lucky to be the only guests mid-week so we had the lounge area to ourselves - nice.

When we first arrived, it wasn't clear where we needed to go to check-in as there are two houses on the property. The quality of the wi-fi was the only thing to give us any problem.

Great location, central to wine growing area. Bike hire great fun. Clean, comfortable, open common area. All modern facilities, high standards. Great welcome by Mandy and Patrick, couldn’t have been more helpful (even arranged short subscription for sky sports). Very knowledgeable about area. Beautiful breakfast made from home grown produce.
