Nice hotel, the lift to Lambton Quay was very convenient and the 2 options for parking were great.

We had to pay a bond of $1200 for a 5-day stay and then at the end of the stay, the hotel wanted to deduct another $1250, and the balance would be refunded within a week. We thought it was a bit ridiculous to take a $1200 bond!! We never had to pay a $1200 bond anywhere we stayed between 5-7 days. Maybe something to look into as this will probably be why we never book there again. I know they have to make sure there are no damages, but for us as a family, it was a bit far out. We stayed on the 3rd floor and had no view of the sea as shown in the pictures on bookings.com, so that was a bit disappointing.

Stayed for three nights as part of our five week tour of New Zealand. The room on the third floor was comfortable and quiet. Room service came on a daily basis to top up the basics and do the necessary tasks required of housekeeping. The lifts operated well within the hotel but it was slightly inconvenient that the lift down to Lambton Quay closed at 7:30pm.

The one disappointing aspect of the hotel was the lobby area and bar which was small and not furnished to a comfortable standard, hence we did not use that area, choosing instead to drink elsewhere.

Greeting was great they couldn't do enough for us. Our room on arrival wasn't ready, I think we arrived at 330pm when we were told room be ready at 2pm but we were offered drinks at the bar but then was told it had just been finished and they were sorry so no problem just reception was honest and lovely people

After all of the above little bit disappointed in the lady who we spoke to at the bar about a table for breakfast for my wife son and me. Seemed like we were an issue, we hadn't made a booking just everything we asked seemed to be a problem, little bit.putmoff by that. I wanted to say something but my wife said let it lie

- South African male receptionist very friendly and made an effort to make small talk - Awesome cleaning and nice eco smelling amenities - Elevated city views - Proximity to Lambton Quay

- Dirty room windows diminished the view - Staff at the bar wearing a pounamu necklace doesn't acknowledge guests as they pass to enter reception or the elevator to Lambton Quay. It would be nice to see a warm smile or hear a "good morning" but she just looks at you and carries on with her duties. It makes me not want to use the on-site food and beverage options. With so many good dining options available in Wellington and the hotel restaurant being somewhat average looking, the staff have the ability to persuade guests to try a "signature dish" or enjoy a nice cocktail before heading out - if they want to make the effort

Modern tasteful decor and fittings, nice deep bathtub, full Sky TV package (History, BBC Earth etc), good size TV, super comfy bed, couch to watch TV on with side table as well as work desk, big bathroom dispensers (less waste, cute in-sink built one for paper towels), the staff kindly letting me store bicycle in lobby's storeroom and finding me an eatery still open late night on arrival, general cleanliness, good air con, pretty quiet over Easter weekend, teas plus hot chocolate for late night cupper, location (on a bike quick scoot down and short healthy workout up Boulcott St), drink water glasses in bathroom (tap water tasting OK).

QR scan restaurant menu indicated, but didn't seem to have VG options (there were some in the lobby's smorgasbord cafe, though you had to ask to make sure, but you are spoiled for choice in the city), windows didn't seem designed to open (relying on air con), spied couple of hairs on shelf under sink, TV didn't recall last channel and auto-reset at 1am, had to blot out minor spot on chair, built-in bar fridge just had a few milk pots (also couldn't be turned off though pretty quiet and didn't bother at all), drip from shower head when pressing button to fill in the bath (a bit fiddly), sign to not have room done perhaps better re-frased from "I'm in" as I 'm actually out.

Great location to CBD venues we were attending

Whilst we weren't expecting earlier checkin, I did request this on my booking. On checkin we were advised that they had a room available at 10am and there would be a further charge of $100 It makes no sense to me to charge this (which we did not accept) when the room was ready and vacant. Our use for a few more hours (actually just to change clothing before an event) was at no cost to the business. However, they offered to waiver the fee if we signed up for membership (which I did). Just a very annoying waist of time when it could have all been so easy.

I like everything. The hotel, how kind the staff are, the free food, how clean and tidy the room is. The gym and play area too, but the best of everything is the view. Many buildings and businesses infont of the hotel, how quite and peaceful it is.

Everything seems perfect to me but the problem for me is the pool. Because it was out of the building and it was cold and windy outside. But it's not big deal its pretty great.

Breakfast included in room. Location is excellent, very handy having chemist warehouse at bottom of lift which i needed 3 times. Beds are large and really comfy. Room service was very fast and so convenient.

Water took ages to heat up for shower. Doors in other rooms being slammed late at night, they shake the room and are really loud. Not sure what was going on with tv a few times completely lost the picture but still had sound.

liked the design of the room. clean and modern

Second visit within a week. This time more tea bags provided. In the first visit we had to share two tea bags one in the evening and one in the morning. Great that this was improved on our second visit. We didn’t purchase the hotel breakfast. Felt the price was excessive even with recent economic increases. Considering the price for the room maybe breakfast should be included. Or at the very least provided at a cost less than the 32.00 asked for per person. Would have purchased breakfast had it been say 25.00 dollars.

We loved the central location, especially as you can go straight down onto Lambton Quay without having to walk around (even though the maps tell you that is what you should do!). For 5 nights it got a little cramped with 4 of us in a room, but we coped. Room was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Would have been better having a slightly bigger room for 4 of us (2 adults and 2 teens).
