Stayed here overnight. Everything was booked and confirmed. Arrived at the hotel and was advised that the room had been cleaned but not signed off by the supervisor. Had to wait an additional 45 minutes for this to happen. Got to the room which was exceptional. Took a bit to find all the light switches but found them eventually. Bed was big and comfortable and felt like I was sleeping on a cloud.

Put an urgency on the sign off rather than making a hotel guest wait nearly an hour. Wasn't offered to sit in the cafe or bar area so ended up in the reception area with a load of luggage. Would have been nice to have the luggage at least stored or waiting to be taken to the room.

The service was from the time we arrived to the time we left was excellent, the concierge greeted us by the car and organised our luggage and explained the car parking options to us. The room was clean, cosy and quite, the bed was super comfortable and the bed linen was fresh and clean the duel shower had great pressure and the shampoo, conditioner, body wash body lotion and hand wash were lovely and smelt good the meals were delicious we really enjoyed the seafood chowder and there was a great selection of wine. The room off the lobby was warm and cosy, especially as it was a cold wintery night.

There was nothing we didn't like.

very friendly staff, all were so welcoming and went out of there way to help with anything that we needed. very nice location walking distance to everywhere.

cleaning was average expected a little more for the price and since everything else was above and beyond it was not as good, for example when we checked in the spa bath was a little dirty looking, and before I used it I washed it out myself. Still was a great stay this was the only thing that let it down.

The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! DELIGHTFUL! Shower was amazing and an excellent size. Awesome to have a pool indoors at accommodation too and it was the perfect temperature. Would also like to note that we lost power in the morning that we were checking out and weren't able to use any of the wall plugs, including the jug so couldn't make coffee. Rang downstairs via my cellphone and they brought up complimentary coffee since we couldn't make our own. Lovely service.

Pool and spa facilities could use a bit of an upgrade as are looking on the well used side. Coat of paint on the inside of the pool and spa would do it! Otherwise absolutely amazing.

Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Excellent location and very comfortable accommodation. Having stayed here several times over the years, certainly up to expectations!!

We stayed 2 nights, intending to dine in both nights. Unfortunately the first evening was a Monday when the in-house hotel restaurant was closed. We took the option of booking Two Grey dining which was not a great decision. However we had a lovely evening meal at the hotel GPO restaurant our second night, both service and food being excellent.

This was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at (and im currently at the Hilton in Queenstown!) Staff were so friendly, the bar and toilets downstairs were lovely, the atmosphere was fancy and professional yet still family friendly! They have really kept their rooms and service up to scratch, which is not very common these days. The beds were dreamy, and there were so many cute little extra's like a hair comb, which really made my stay. Its also a GREAT location, right in town

Despite the 10 stars.. there's always room for improvement! The pool and spa could definitely use a bit of a face lift, and I couldnt get the sauna very hot. The rooms were a little small, and the windows were also quite dirty in the room, from the outside (but honestly didnt bother us at all)

we had a hiccup on the first and second nights. a clicking throughout the night and banging through the day when we were trying to catch up on sleep missed the night before. we mentioned this to staff on the third day we were shifted. we were given a free beverage and fruit basket and the new room was lovely. it was a pity the first two days and nights were spoiled. we did appreciate the response although it wasn’t immediate. a discount on the stay would have been appreciated so we can stay again in the future.

Bed and pillows were amazing, felt like we just sank into them. We were able to walk easily to places we were going that evening. Room service staff were exceptional. The happy birthday complimentary platter was nice.

As we were there for the 1 night celebrating a special birthday for my husband which I noted in the booking a better view from the room would have been nice instead of our view of the homeless people that sleep opposite the entrance with their dog that barked loudly throughout the night. I did make a special request for a bottle of veuve cliquot to be in our room on arrival thinking that would not be a problem at all however that request was not possible, not sure why as it is available to purchase on the beverage menu and is our usual celebratory bottle of bubbles. No mini bar available in the room either so couldn't enjoy any drinks quickly while getting ready to head out. Silicone in the shower was full of mould, obviously needing replacing as it can't be cleaned off.

The room was exceptional, had everything we needed in it plus great view from bathroom, bed and sofa. The location was excellent, couldn't have made life easier or more fun for getting around. The bed was SO comfortable and great pillows!

Only thing was the fridge had a couple of remains from the previous occupants left hidden away on the top shelf. Everything else was wonderful - especially the staff throughout, so friendly and a real team at work.

The staff were really helpful and friendly. They attend to our bags and show us to our room. The bed was comfortable and the lounge is very luxurious. The food is tasty and coffee is top notch. We had the club access package. Definitely the way to go to treat a loved one.

Wasn't too sure how the aircon worked. When we changed the temperature it would get cold. I set our room temperature at 24.5 to keep warm. It would be good if you couldn't hear the fan but that's very minor.
