When making the booking, the information on the hotel said car parking was available but it wasn’t clear that you needed to specifically book a park so we were disappointed to have arrived and told there was no parks available.

Wellington is a walkable City. This Quest was clean and modern and very well located. Easy walking distance to Cuba St., the Harbour, Museums, Art galleries, the Cable car and a squillion eateries and shops. The reception area is small and not open 24hrs but the front staff were very approachable and professional. Our room had windows you could open for a bit of natural ventilation.

Not much in the way of views but to be fair I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for the privilege either, Parking our hire car was a vexing issue throughout our trip in NZ, You still have to pay for parking - but this Quest has allocations in a multi-storey carpark directly across from it - which was fantastic. It made arriving by car and leaving an easy process.

Very good range of facilities in the apartment. It is all modern and clean. Excellent value for money and superbly located.

Only one minor point - when it was windy, the air pressure would cause the apartment door to rattle.

Check in was very efficient also the use of carpark facilities we had prebooked. We were upgraded to a wonderful suite on floor 17 with harbour views and great facilities. Had a great two nights stay.

Great location near to shops, train station and quays. Comfortable clean apartment and bed. Friendly reception and housekeeping staff. Relatively quiet for being in the centre of the city but some traffic noise. Good WiFi. Late check out was accommodated which was great.

Would have been nice to have a clothes hanger to dry washing on as apartment has a washing machine and not all clothes can go in a dryer. Rooms need a bit of an update. Only 2 clothes hangers. No Sky movie channels on TV despite having these in previous Quest . Doors to apartments very close together so noise from other guests slamming doors and sounded like they were coming in your apartment at times. Very strong overpowering air freshener smell in lifts and lobby...not nice.

A very clean and well-appointed room, if a little overpriced. The wifi was excellent, beds comfortable, and all the necessities provided for self-catering. The location was also ideal, with a great little coffee shop just two doors over (Little Grumps)!

Due to staff shortages, the front desk is not currently being manned after 6 p.m. Although we were still able to check in—there is a buzzer outside, and eventually someone will answer and check you in remotely—it would've been nice to be warned of this in advance.

Those on reception were amazing, very, very helpful, and professional. Loved the entrance into the foyer area, loved the security via scanning into the building and in the elevator and the chain lock on the door. Our room (9A) was comfortable, enough space for my husband and I, spotless, thanks to the amazing cleaning staff. It had an excellent shower and bathroom, and the room had everything we needed. Loved the location, walking distance to the Cable Car, Wharf, the Train Station (around 10 min, approx,) Beehive and other Parliament Buildings, as well as Te Papa. Also very close to cafe's and restaurants. Was quiet around the streets of the motel and warm inside the room for March 2023. We had the windows open, the 3 nights we stayed, and it was a pleasant temperature inside the room. We are very thankful to the reception staff who organised a taxi for us, to take us to the train station, even though it is a short walk. Combined Taxi's arrived on time, and the fare was around $11, we gave him more, as we were thankful for him coming to pick us up so early, in the morning, with all our luggage. It was a great place to stay for our very first visit to Wellington City 🙂 Thank you, Quest on Johnston 💕 we would definitely stay again.
