I loved how central to the city it was! 5 minute walk to Willis Lane, 10 minutes to either metro supermarkets. Everything is within walking distance a unless you want to adventure further out! We rented a car and went to Cape palliser and explored the rest of Wellington at our leisure without the need of public transport. The place was clean and tidy. My best friend and I got 2 single beds - due to the bed wheels not locking to stay put we ended up pushing the beds together and house keeping respected this and made our beds exactly how they found them! It was a nice time away with my best friend for our girl weekend. It was sad to leave!

The room was clean and perfect for what we needed. The bathroom did have a smell to it, maybe in the corner cracks of the shower with the mildew. But other than that everything was perfect.

Great location, central to everything. Great hotel staff. Finally place with good water pressure where you can have a normal shower.

When we arrived there was no any parking spots reserved for Travelodge hotel, so we need to park in the same park but on the level above. During the night, someone smashed the window on our car and stole all our belongings left in the car. We noticed it in the morning when about to leave hotel, and had to go through all the process of reporting to reporting to police and arranging for the car replacement with car rental. Very lengthy proces but, hotel staff was very helpful. However, we had to say goodbye to all the clothes and staff that were stolen

The bed was super comfortable but not a king bed just 2 single beds pushed together with a king mattress on top. Of course this was still no problem for our 1 night stay as the mattress was comfortable. It had all the toiletries including Soap, shampoo, conditioner, moisturizing cream & toilet paper so that was a bonus. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast for $32.50 my partner had to go to work earlier in the morning. Would definitely be back 😁

The lights in the toilet could only be turned on with the lights to the whole room. The TV kept interfering with a connection to your mobile while watching movies on the sky movie channel. Only one sky movie on the tv too. So we were out of luck with the movies & no Chromecast. No air conditioning but there was a little fan. No hot chocolate, but there is coffee, decaf coffee, & tea, & sugar followed with a little carton of milk.

Central location, really quiet, friendly and helpful staff, our room had a bath which was a nice touch because we have a 19 month old. They set up the portacot and let us check in at 11am as our room was ready to go. Room service were really friendly. Our room was quite a lot bigger than we were expecting which was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable and the room really clean.

We had a pram so navigating how to get to lambton quay was a little tricky as we didn't want to go the long way round from boulcott st. It would be better if the main lift went right down to the ground floor to Street level. It would have been nice to have a hot chocolate but this wasn't provided in the hot drinks

Good location in CBD, walking distance to most of the activities and places of interest. Took us 15 minutes to walk to Te Papa Museum. Good price during our stay 2-night stay for 2 rooms. However, when I was checking again to book the room type were no longer available. My request for our rooms to be close or next to each other were granted.

It was a bit confusing to find the reception area, you have to go inside a parking level 8 and walk a bit to find it. Luckily, Google map was accurate and then there is another exit going out to Lambton Quay and Willis Street. I am not a big fan of driving around steep, hilly and windy Wellington but if I have to I will likely choose to stay in Travelodge again. Our rooms were not yet ready at 3pm. We were given drink vouchers but we were not able to use them during our stay. I hope they are getting their curtains cleaned and disinfected regularly, they were dusty. Other than that rooms were small but basically sufficient.

My two best friends and I got a twin bed room with couch pull out bed, was the perfect size for all of us! Us two girls loved the bathroom the counter was so spacious and perfect for us to spread all our makeup etc. Loved that it came with a fridge and microwave. Heaps of plug outlets in really good spots. Hotel was in a perfect location could walk everywhere and felt safe.

Pull out bed was quite squeaky but we found it amusing and all had earplugs anyway. Maybe could add a better fan in the bathroom? It steamed up a lot but you can wipe it off no worries so who really cares at the end of the day :)

We had two rooms for four people on the16th floor, rooms were clean and well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms were serviced daily with new towels, dishes and and the beds were made up. Both rooms had a view of the water (1610/1611) but even though they were the same price 1611 was much bigger and is the main photo on the website for the twin rooms. The beds were comfortable, a bit "springy" but a decent size. Good value for money though and soundproof windows, easy to get to buses trains and airport, also close to water front and cuba street would stay again. they also let us leave our bags for the day when we checked out.

That the rooms were such different sizes/layouts for the same price and that the room we had for 2 nights was much bigger than the one for 3 nights. That the beds had wheels that meant they moved alot- be good to have a lock ability on them. was a tight squeeze to have the two beds separated (in 1610) would have been fine for a couple. The bathroom was also a lot smaller. was difficult to get to the reception from lambton quay-up plimmer steps to the travel lodge elevator, but with luggage you need to go up the elevator in the building to the left then across to the elevator, the reception were confused when I called them asking how to get in, easy for cars as entry is from the wilson carpark. If you use "park mate" app its cheaper than the $28 per night car park fee.

Communication with the reception was excellent! Online and onsite! Kind, professional and helpful. Kitchen staff was very competent as well. The breakfast buffet was nicely, clean and fresh presented. Everything tasted amazing.

The door to the bathroom was not lockable (forgot to tell at the reception, I am sure they would have fixed it immediately) There is definitely a noise issue ( we had unfortunately very loud and lively neighbours) Loud discussions and a bit of shouting. It's not the Hotel's fault but it was a bit loud.

The location was fantastic. Easy walking distance to many of Wellington’s attractions & bus services are close by on Lambton Quay when needed. Great views from the room & the beds were comfy.

The shower: there was no door or curtain, so the water ran onto the bathroom floor. The fact that breakfast wasn’t included in the price & expensive. This needs to be put on the website. While it says breakfast is available at the restaurant, it doesn’t say breakfast is an additional charge.

Main feedback I got from my teammates was that the beds were very comfortable. Easy access to food outlets in CBD. Thanks for arranging a parking space for our 20-seater van. Met our needs well because we were out of the hotel most of the time playing our sporting event, and required a hassle-free, comfortable place to base ourselves.

Bar prices were a little steep, but we are used to Tauranga prices, not Wellington prices. One hiccup was when one of our rooms was mistakenly recorded as checked out one night early so our entry cards didn't work.
