Good location. Big breakfast.

They should not serve whale meat for breakfast. To fellow tourists: Please, don’t eat it in the mistaken belief that you are sampling traditional food or having a cultural experience. You are not doing either. All you are doing is encouraging further whaling. Go whale watching instead and see whales alive and free!

Location was lovely in a quiet residential area but be aware it is an uphill walk from the train station which can be a struggle with suitcases. Breakfast was great and staff very friendly and informative.

Bedroom looked a little bare when compared to the online photos but possibly some soft furnishings have been removed to facilitate cleaning during the pandemic.

A lovely hotel in a fantastic location, right in the thick of charming historic streets and houses. Excellent breakfast spread with fantastic bread and herring; a really spacious room with good bathroom facilities and amenities. Staff were excellent, really friendly and professional and being offered waffles as part of our stay was a welcome perk. I didn't realise until after booking that the hotel is part of a Norway-wide social scheme offering an entry to work and training opportunities; I was so pleased to know I was contributing towards what seems to be a really valuable opportunity for people who are, or have been, in need of a new start, not just a generic corporate chain.

Towels were a little frayed at the edges and the bedside cabinets a little worn - but these are minor cosmetic quibbles as the hotel was immaculately clean.

The buffet breakfasts were just right with lots of healthy Norwegian elements. The evening waffles an added bonus. Personally the small and more intimate family nature of the hotel really suited us. Comfortable and clean rooms.

Nothing particularly comes to mind. Maybe a bit more storage space in the room but we were probably unusual in that we spent a week there where most folks seem to do a couple of nights. Bergen though was definitely worth doing the whole week around and about.

Great breakfast, including really nice gluten-free bread & listing of all allergens on all food items. The room was a good size, with a comfortable large bed & good bathroom. Staff were very friendly & accommodating. Good location between the 2 main harbours & an easy walk into the city centre & the light rail terminal. Great cafe & bistro just a couple of doors away.

There isn't a lift to the upper floors, but we were aware of this at time of booking

Fantastic location near to the shops/bars/restaurants and a short walk to the Nordnesparken area which is a stunning sunset watch across the sea. Very friendly staff, all spoke impeccable English and were very helpful. Breakfast was brilliant, mix of hot potatoes, meatballs, eggs, toast, cereals, cheese and meats, yogurts, juices, teas, all great. Really smart hotel with nice sea view (room 303) and quiet. Bathroom was very modern, spacious and good shower pressure.

I couldn't cast anything from my ipad to the tv but it wasn't a big deal otherwise I'd have asked on reception and they would probably have sorted it.

The breakfast was very good, everything was freshly prepared and delicious bread. The room was clean and had good amount of space. I found the bedding and bed comfortable. Everything was clean, freshly painted and had a nice feel. The location is excellent in a very quaint area of the city. If we weren't staying there we may not have visited this area but it was very nice. I also liked the key cards which allowed you to get into the main door, very handy.

Nothing was particularly bad. It might have been nice to have a coffee machine at breakfast that gave a range of coffee options (espresso etc) but that's just my preference and not something wrong with the hotel!

The hotel is located near city center but not directly in it which makes it very quite and peaceful. We had a room on the 2nd floor and it was with a beautiful view on the city and harbour. What surprised us positively as well is the window cover which is super dark so it makes sleeping in super easy. The ladies who work in the hotel are great, they are super friendly and speak perfect English. The rooms are small, but very clean and are on general very comfortable. There is a small watercooker with tea and coffee options and you can get kitchen supplies downstairs. We were also happy to see we can cast our phones to the TV as that makes evenings in a lot more fun. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, which had all you need and was very fresh. The bread was warm, the coffee good, and the options wide enough. Just across the street there is also a busstop that brings you directly from city center to the hotel and back 😃. We will for sure be back here 😃.

We personally couldn't find a lot wrong with the place it selve. What did bother us a little was the shower - it was ultra clean, for sure but there is some weird logic begin the window just covering a part of the shower space and unfortunately the floor does not go down properly and you will end flooding the shower a little. I think I would ever preffer a small rubber stopper on the floor and a plastic shower curtain than the current solution as it just takes away from your shower comfort.

it is well located - close to and equidistant from the Hurtigruten terminal and the historic Briggen area. it also just a short walk from the Airport Light Rail terminus. We had free waffles and coffee on arrival and the staff would make us a coffee or tea whenever we asked. Breakfast was great and the beds very comfortable. It’s a warm and friendly small hotel. it has a lounge we used after checkout and before leaving for the airport. Wifi strength was also very good. We loved this hotel.

The rooms are not large but they are very comfortable.

Excellent location, very close to main area but also feels very private and quiet around. Rooms are very well thought and clean and comfortable. Waffles and tea/coffee in the evening was a nice touch and breakfast is slightly limited for vegetarians but as good as you'll get probably. Staff was very nice and courteous, the cause behind helping the staff working there is incredible.

Only downside is they dont have private parking space and to park in public parking space is going to cost you around £20 for 24 hours.
