The staff was wonderful - very friendly and accommodating. We arrived early and hung out in the "lobby" for a while, were offered a cup of coffee, and then stored our luggage while we explored the city until 3PM.

Our room was adequate, but on the small side.

Small and friendly hotel in good location near airport tram and other transport. Very quiet internally and, from our room at the back, externally. Comfortable bed, smallish room but had all the necessary facilities for a short stay. Breakfast selection exceeded our expectations for the price we paid, and the dining room/bar was cosy and relaxing.

Everything was good for us, however, the lighting levels are quite low and many floors and wallcoverings are dark colours, so you might struggle if you have any visual impairment or just prefer brighter lighting.

Excellent location, extremely comfortable beds, staff generally very helpful and service oriented…

…so I have to assume that the kitchen worker who became aggressive and insulting at our last breakfast when I complained about the tongs used for the smoked salmon (other guests had also found these bent bread tongs impossible to use and gave up; I made the mistake of complaining) was having a particularly bad day. Very dark rooms are probably a blessing on summer nights, but a little annoying in the fall.

Fantastic location, high-quality and varied breakfast, a certain "naughtiness" to the decor (which I liked:), ease of movement within the hotel - the stairs were encouraging to take, staff was very friendly and helpful, housekeeping very accommodating. It also had common spaces that were comfortable and welcoming; I spent some enjoyable time relaxing there.

Not particular to Oleana, but the room was small, as was the closet. Personally I am not a fan of foam mattress toppers as they move (because I do!) but they do make the bed very comfortable.

The location of Oleana was the reason we picked the hotel. It was centrally located just few minutes walk to the starting point for all tours which start early in the mornings. Breakfast was good for a sit in start to the morning with lots of options. We did start off earlier than the breakfast time for our day tours a few days so could only carry a packed breakfast. The rooms were small with no real storage space, apart from that the stay was great and we enjoyed our time at Oleana.

The room size could have been better and with more storage space, it was quite cramped for a family room.

The hotel has a great location, wonderful decor and lots of personality. Breakfast is very good and the staff was extremely pleasant and very well trained.

The windows to the rooms don't open and you have to rely on the AC alone to ventilate the room. This is unpleasant and doesn't make any sense in a low building in a city like Bergen! We came for the fresh air and the quiet surroundings and instead we got no fresh air in the room and the constant noise of the AC in the background. It's ridiculous to be at the 3rd floor in the mountains and unable to let some fresh air in in the morning. We stayed for 3 nights and when we returned home, we felt like our home was quiet and fresh by comparison (PS: we live in a much busier city). Unfortunately, for this reason alone, we will not book again. It's sad, because everything else was pretty damn close to perfect.

very well located near to the light rail station, the port and all sightseeing points. room and bed were comfortable and the breakfast selection was great.

filter coffe for breakfast. window in room cant be opened at all and the air cond does not seem to work properly. staff and service could be friendlier and more attentive at least what the restaurant and bar section concerns. not sure if it was because i was on my own or if its a Bergen or Norway thing but I always waited forever and service personel would rather stare on the floor than asking if everything was ok or if I would like to order something

The location was great in a beautiful part of Bergen within walking distance of the Hurtigruten cruise terminal. The breakfast buffet was very good with lots of healthy and tasty options. Both rooms I stayed in were nicely decorated and very well maintained, with lots of room. The second room had a beautiful view of the trees and big windows that we could open at night.

There was not enough lighting in the second room (#208), with dark zones in the seating near the window. The sconces over our bed were not big or bright enough. The room Need a floor lamp, or two, plus lighting on the night stands on each side of the bed, as well as the desk. Also, there was no electric socket close enough to a mirror when using the hair dryer.

We arrived at about 0700 having got an overnight train from Oslo. We arrived at the hotel absolutely drenched from a down pour of rain, and the receptionist/manager kindly had our room ready straight away which meant we could freshen up and also get some rest. Our check in wasn’t meant to be until 1500 that day, so we were super grateful! The breakfast was a good standard and had plenty of variety. The location is also great and meant we didn’t have to spend any money on public transport to get around!

Great location. Stylish decor. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of hot and cold options. Standard double was a good size. Great shower and big tv. Bar was also great. Lovely views out of the window (level 6b).

Toilets are too exposed, not enough privacy. Whilst the bed was relatively comfortable, the mattress moved quite a lot. The restaurant was a mixed bag for dinner. Netflix didn't work on the tv. Could have done with the AC being able to go lower than 18 as we happened to be there on quite a hot day.
