We loved our stay at Sul Villas! The property is breathtaking and the staff is welcoming and helpful with bookings and recommendations. The food was also very delicious - some of the best we had while staying on the island.

We had a fantastic stay at Sul Villas and Spa. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating to us during the entirety of our time at the resort, from helping us order taxis to organizing an earlier checkout when we had just gotten in from a long flight; the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We really appreciated the privacy of our villa as well as the beautiful view. The room was also well decorated and had everything needed for our stay. The hotel restaurant was great for when you did not want to leave the resort, and Lagoa town has some good options for dinner if you are looking for something different. We highly recommend Sul Villas and Spa and would love to return. Obrigada!!

The gym was small and had minimal equipment but was overall clean and well-maintained Wished there were some more traditional Portuguese food options for breakfast

Our junior villa was comfortable (great aircon, comfortable bed, equipped kitchenette, closet space, clean!) and spacious with lots of natural light and privacy overlooking the ocean. We loved relaxing in our private mini pool! We appreciated the cheesecake treats, too :) We were completely blown away by the quality of the on-site restaurant - the included breakfasts were outstanding and sooooo much food! And the dinners were so mouthwateringly delicious we never ate dinner anywhere else on the island! The hotel and restaurant staff were all exceptionally accommodating and friendly. We cannot wait to come back!

You do have to make a reservation for breakfast and sometimes on the morning of, I'd wished we'd either booked it earlier or later. But this is really minor and I understand why a reservation is needed - their breakfast is a production and well worth making your reservation time! We also thought we'd be able to see the ocean view while in our mini pool, but it's so low all we could see was the grass directly in front of our room. We were mildly bummed at first, but again, incredibly minor and could've just been our room no 1. We still very much enjoyed our mini private pool!

Excellent accommodation with even better restaurant. An excellent, varied breakfast and two best dinners we tried on the island. We ate the best cheesecake ever. Big praise for the chef. Reasonsble dinner prices even cheaper then in other restaurants on the iceland. Extremely friendly staff. The only small complaint is the narrow street that you have to take back to the facility after dinner, but that can also be avoided by having dinner in their restaurant. You will not be sorry.

Great location overlooking the Ocean. Very clean. Amazing cuisine with typical Portuguese dishes and fresh fish. Nice design in the rooms and around the Hotel. Located in good location close to Ponta Delgada. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Well organized and willing to assist with every need we might have. They recommended what to see and what to avoid, and were always available. Lots of massages to choose from, and a very good masseuse.

Not many winter facilities in the Hotel, the outdoor pool area felt quite cold and unfamiliar, as did the interiors of the room, which felt as if they were made only for Summer months.

What an incredible room with amazing sea views. Great little studio with a little kitchenette. Parking is available (and safe) right in front of each villa. Breakfast is good and access to the gym & jacuzzi & pool is right there (even in winter!). Very well located, right 15min from Ponta Delgada and within 30 to 45 minutes from anywhere on the island (as long as you've got a rental).

Got to be honest. Breakfast was a bit of a nightmare. The food is super nice but the process is extremely slow (quite painful when you want to get going in the morning). You got to book breakfast time the day before, once seated, it takes 5 to 10 minutes for your order to be taken, and then there is a 30-minute WAIT before your breakfast is on the table which means that your breakfast time is, every day, at least 1hour long. There should be either a buffet service or a pre-order the day before so that when you get to the table you can get to eating. Also, the minibar/fridge offers some 15€ wine but wine glasses are literally 50 cents hard plastic glasses. Any 1€ IKEA wine glass would be 10 times better.

The staff were professional. They were friendly and and accommodating in assisting us in supporting our efforts to explore and experience the beauty of Sol Miguel. Prime 2 Villa was beautiful to stay in and the scenic views it offered were amazing. Dining was comfortable and offered a fine dining experience, and the meals were excellent.

We often drove of Lagoa due to our perception of the limited activities it offered

Everything about this place was relaxing. I didn’t realize they had a restaurant on site, and that just made the experience that much greater. Not only was it convenient but the food was amazing! The views and the sound of the ocean were blissful whether on the patio or during dinner.

Don’t have anything to say here. I just wish I didn’t have so many tours planned so I could have really enjoyed my time there and taking advantage of everything they had to offer.

The breakfast was wonderful and the dinner and wine excellent. We stayed in the Village Villa which accommodated the four of perfectly with 3 bedrooms and a huge outdoor deck, pool overlooking the ocean and hot tub.

The weather was a bit rainy and windy but we still loved our time there. We loved our massages but there was only one therapist so we had to book at all different times. She was excellent though.

The staff at the hotel was incredibly helpful and friendly, meeting all of our needs and requests. The views from the hotel are absolutely stunning and helped us to relax immediately. The breakfast was delicious and included a breathtaking view from the restaurant. The pool on our terrace was clean and gave us a space to cool off and enjoy the views. We didn't use the hotel pool, but it also boats even lovlier views. The room is huge and the kitchenette includes everything we needed during our stay. The outdoor shower was a bonus that we truly enjoyed. At night, we could hear the Cagarros and the sound of the waves when we left the patio door open and that was a personal highlight for me.

The parking lot is a bit difficult to navigate and many people, including our taxi driver had difficulty getting in and out of the lot.
