Hotel was grand like the name suggests. Breakfast was a large buffet with a good variety of food. We only used the pool to the side of the hotel but there is another at the front. Staff speak a little English, we are learning Spanish and they were very helpful with helping us. Rooms were large and clean, we had a balcony overlooking the city, it was a great view. There is an amusement park right next to the hotel, we were given free tickets but because we went out of season it was only open at the weekend, we arrived too late on the Sunday afternoon to take advantage of the tickets unfortunately.

It was far from town, there is little else around. It was very quiet at the hotel due to time in season.

I didn't like the fact that there was only one bar open and it was very full and noisy because there was a padel competition on and there was a lot of people in the bar The hotel was in a good place for terra mitica but there wasn't any bars nearby and there wasn't any entertainment in the evenings

It is hard to pick out one area, the whole of the hotel was very well maintained, clean and provided you with everything you needed. We were half board and the dining room was very good. The evening meal was buffet which was well presented and kept very clean. The pool areas were great as was the evening entertainment for both adults and children. The close proximity to the theme park was a bonus.

There wasn’t anything our family did not like.

Breakfast had lots of selection - more than necessary if totally honest but that is only a good thing. We loved the spa and had it to ourselves around 4pm on our first day which was lush. The entertainment in the evening was a nice touch but does continue rather loudly until midnight during the summer season so just beware. Fabulous that entry into Terra Mitica, Aqualandia, Mundomar and Iberia Park were all included in the price which made the experience so worth it.

Only issues we had were: we had made a special request for a bottle of bubbly to be in the room when we arrived as part of our celebration and after the Hotel saying it was no problem - we never received it. Went to the reception to ask about it but think the language barrier caused some confusion. We also had an issue with housekeeping forgetting to put new towels in our room and giving us a dirty hand towel with orange makeup on it.

Our interaction with your Reception Team. We arrive at 2.00 in the morning and were given a warm welcome. That Team provided help without question whenever we needed it. We have stayed at The Grand Luxor on a number of occasions, of varying lengths, and each time it gets better. Our room care was lst Class.

One of our family slipped and fell onto a glass topped table which was cracked in the fall. The replacement cost was added to our bill. Having paid 2634 Euros for our stay, we felt that this was a little unfortunate.

The breakfast was cold every morning. We went in for breakfast between 9 am and 10am cold breakfast. Went to breakfast on the 31st of July at 8 am as we are catching a flight home at 12 pm and even this early the breakfast was cold, cold bacon, tomatoes, eggs, omelettes pancakes .   the only thing warm as toast. Very disappointing

After shambolic start, everything went well. Superior room was excellent, food good and staff friendly and helpful. Angel, the head porter, super helpful. The kids loved the unlimited access to Aqualandia, Terra Mítica and Mundo Mar. Terra Míticas was particularly good value as it is right on the doorstep and it was always quiet. Almost no waiting to get on the rides. I assume that changes soon but it was a pleasant surprise that in early July it was so quiet. Aqualandia much busier.

We made booking via booking.com from 2nd to 6th July. When we arrived at security gate entrance we were told there was no reservation. Eventually we were allowed to go to reception where they said they had no reservation in my name. They then said we were "no shows" as we were expected day before even though we clearly had confirmation for the 2nd. So a shambolic and stressful start. Last September it was even worse. Made booking for hotel via here and turned up to be told hotel was already closed for the rest of the year and we were being moved to another place.

Well located, near to Terra Mítica, great pool area!

Too much people, no real Covid measures and quite uncleanliness.

The hotel itself is stunning and the room was perfect. My kids loved the jacuzzi bath in the bathroom! The pool was lovely and all staff brilliant only problem was the restaurant and the food other than that fantastic. Terra Mitica is behind the hotel however half the theme park is closed at the moment.

The restaurant and food were shocking. NO COVID PRECAUTIONS EITHER!

It lives up to its name as being very Grand. The best part for us was the location, set back from Benidorm it’s only a €10 taxi ride into town, and worth it for not being in the noise and hustle.

The evening entertainment is very loud and goes on to midnight. If you’re on that side of the hotel, you have no chance of sleeping.
