Room was comfy, warm and brilliant sea views. A great 'English Breakfast' set us up for the day perfectly. Staff on desk and in the dining room were both polite and helpful (it was the 1st time we have been rung to ask if everything was o.k. and did we need anything). The location was really handy for our plans. With daily parking permit for £2 this was perfect for us. Use of the pool was a bonus before breakfast (though air was a bit cool 1st thing!)

Only 2 tea bags, which we used when we arrived after long drive. Luckily we had some of our own for when we got up in morning. Sure we could have asked but find there is more coffee supplied.

Our stay here was smooth and hitch free. The room and shared areas of the hotel were comfortable and clean. The room and bathroom were a really good size and loved having a sea view. A particular plus for us, which wouldn't affect everyone, was the dedicated smoking area. I myself don't smoke, but my partner does. We've stayed in many hotels and a fair few in Eastbourne. Many times the smoking area is no more than a mounted ashtray on the wall, whilst smokers have to stand in the street. Here, a section of the lovely front verandah, facing the sea was able to be used. What's more, there's tables and chairs, so we were able to sit together and enjoy the sea view.

Swimming Pool. We had it to ourselves a few times. 7-16 yr old Kids had a ball. Breakfast was busy so we had to work around the available slots to seat all 12 of use together but it was good breakfast. Right in front of sea as expected and nice 10 minute walk to pier. Ate in restaurant and it was good and could cater for my mother with accessibility issues unlike other establishments. Decent bar, Parents had a ball. Apartment room very spacious and a good get together between outings. Dog friendly hotel and pop over the road for a play in the shingles. Dogs had a ball. Had that old Victorian hotel vibe that my mum likes but with a few lifts and everywhere accessible if not a little narrow in places. 78 yr old Mum had a ball. We will be back for "Christmas 2" in January.

No parking directly outside so when we arrived we had to walk a little from the nearest loading bay with my mother who has a stick/ wheel chair and the wheelchair route to reception had a few obstacles we had to clear (door opening out and a few chairs for outside seating - which was a positive the next day). Got a spot in front of the hotel on last day.

The room was great for a family. The room was big enough for a family of four. The view was great of the sea. The location is ideal as you are literally just across from the beach. It was great to have a pool, small but as it is open early and up to 9.30pm it is not too busy. The room was clean and tea/coffee making facilities.

Parking could be an issue if there are no spaces nearby. We were lucky to get car spaces for 3 days. You need a parking ticket from the hotel reception to park. Costs £2 and is valid until 11.00am the next day. Pool is small but nice to have a dip as water is warm compared to the sea water!

Wonderful breakfast. Fantastic location. Includes everything - breakfast, beach, pool, outdoors, good transport. Eduardo was lovely. He filled up my thermos with ice each time I asked. He always had a wonderful smile and a nice chit chat. Thank you Eduardo. Prior to booking, I had a small issue which I messaged the hotel about without expecting even to get a reply but was surprised when Dasa on not replied but upgraded both our rooms to 2 really lovely rooms. My daughter was extremely happy with hers and mine was lovely too so thank you Dasa for that. We were very grateful x

My daughter's room was brilliant, perfect. I didn't like my bathroom, wasn't as lovely and tiled as other BW bathrooms we have been to but really nothing to complain about at all.

I was delighted to be offered an upgrade which I accepted for a modest amount per night. The breakfast buffet was basic but adequate. My evening light meal in the restaurant was really good, I only needed soup and the cheese plate. The cheese plate was the best I have been served for a long time. The cheese was just right and the selection of biscuits excellent.

the hot breakfast could have been served hotter. The roll in my room very nearly ran completely out. A spare would have been appreciated.

Friendly and well run hotel in perfect location. The secret gem is the ground floor swimming pool, open for long hours and never busy. This means you can get some exercise in before work or wind down at the end of the day. ( cos the sea is mostly too cold and pretty rough, highly unlikely you'd feel like going in). Breakfast was not a pile- high buffet of poor quality flabby greasy stuff, as it so often is in uk, but a cooked- to- order plate of decent items. With avocado! Good busy lobby where you can work. Decent WiFi. The staff were all lovely. Managers, waiting staff, pool guy, housekeeping - everyone wad xhwerful, friendly, professional and doing their job with an air of purpose and satisfaction. That was lovely. Often in hotels, you feel that the staff are ground down, underpaid and under appreciated, and there's sometimes a sad kind of vibe around them; none of that here.

Wish for good thick plain yoghurt rather than those skimpy thin low fat pots. Wasn't sure about the scrambled egg, bit watery. Bar area very poorly stocked, sad and tatty, unusual for this kind of hotel. Wasn't the expected busy buzz, but maybe they know their clientele and maybe not much call for it? (Compared to the other seafront best Western where I've also stayed, though, this was surprising. The bar at the other place is a very cosy and busy space). Coffee wasn't up to contemporary standards, where we're used to proper decent stuff nowadays, felt a bit old fashioned.

The location, the dog friendly hotel & staff, huge room, helpful staff. The hotel right by the beach what else can you ask for, this hotel is lovely with friendly staff. Parking was easy and there's even an pool with we shall use on our next visit.

We were happy with our experience at the hotel, apart from the toilet that was probably rushed as it wasn't cleaned properly.

loved the sea view room, even though the weather wasn’t great

we couldn’t book in the restaurant as a certain slot ( 6.30)pm was fully booked as there was a coach of elderly people who were there and it looked as if they had 1st priority ( No offence to the elderly) This was for the 3 nights that we stayed there. we had travelled for 4 hours and was told this, was quite disappointing I wasn’t aware that we could prebook, as I didn’t receive any information about this. The hotel needs to look into this and I feel they should cater for 3 meals a day and not just two

The breakfast was excellent, really plentiful and a good selection. The room was very comfortable and the bed a good size.

I did not enjoy the noise and behaviour of two girls. One had clonky shoes and kept on running round after 9.30 p.m. when, in my opinion, she should have been in bed. They following morning when I was trying to talk to reception they were both very noisy and inconsiderate.
