All the staff, everywhere in the hotel, be it the entrance, conceirage, reception desk, housekeeping, operator service, staff at the restaurant and the duty manager were outstanding! Every staff member greets the guests, always there to help without being asked, this is something which can't be found commonly. We were provided every single thing we asked them for, very customer friendly, not at all stingy policies. All they put is clients happiness and satisfaction first. I would rate it exceptional for staff. Location is good, in the main area. Very lively place outside the hotel, many food places and shopping options. Baskin Robbins and Dunkin Donuts just outside the hotel. Taxis are readily available. We had a small problem with our room and they changed it the very next day on availability as the hotel was fully booked by evening and we were offered a better room exceeding our expectations for free the next afternoon by the duty manager.

The only slight downside was that lifts are small-sized as compared to other big hotels, and hence expect a bit of a wait time going up and down. Also there is a slight wear and tear like the retractable drying line in the shower was out of order and was broken, the sink tap was kind of hard to pull and push without using a bit of force. Carpets in the room needed a full wash as they were light colored and looked a bit stained. Toilets would do with a deep bleach to make them look as new.

Location was good specially for female and male. A thanks to Bayan , Faisal and Asaliah for the warm welcoming and assisting. I considered that all staff from bottom to top are cheerful and helpful and fast responding this what conflict that their is a proper management going. The room size and bathroom was good and clean. Good quality amenities. Sahoor was good , with variety and the staff was helpfull and their manger in the 12th Floor restaurant was great.

It would be greater if the window could be more cleaner and with out fence so I can see Haram properly.

I like the room and the beds comfort. The ambience and the location. The food was good too and they have excellent selection of breakfast. I further, like the hard working restaurant staff who are also very helpful..

The reception staff. There is a question about one of the staff members integrity and honesty yet when brought this to the attention of the fellow staff at the reception no action was taken. When i also complained the staff did not react or take any action regarding the staff member in question. This could jeopardise the reputation of the hotel. Some staff at the reception lack some common customer services basics. This needs to be rectified.

Super close to haram. Comfortable rooms. Very nice breakfast with a wide variety. Arranged transfers with the hotel for ziyaarat and to Makkah - prices are reasonable.

Maybe rooms can do with a bit of a refresh.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful.They responded very well to my requests. The room was spotlessly clean. There was a coffee machine as well as a good gesture of offering some juice and fruits for free for the first day.The breakfast had good varieties. The location is a few steps from Masjid Haram.

The room's door kept on shaking whenever someone opened the neighbouring room's door. It was quite noisy as the door wasn't well sealed or isolated. Also, it looks like there were some constructions in the hotel, and that was noisy, too. The kids' area wasn't working.

regarding for the room i was lived for 27m the room was very clean and cool in the fridge have 2 juice and 2 water and breakfast very good but the price for breakfast was very high for 1 person 150 SAR and the location very neeuear in haaram

Catching of the food smell in the restaurant coming from the kitchen

The staff were amazing, the rooms were very spacious and clean. We got to our room and were just about to unpack when we were unexpectedly but pleasantly surprised when we were told we're being upgraded to the prestige suite with a Haram and city view. Wow! It was really huge and extremely spacious, it was like having an apartment in a top hotel. The staff were very courteous and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The reception would answer the phone immediately without any delay and any requests would be dealt with instantly. The location to Masjid e Nabwi was unbelievable, you come out of the hotel turn left and within 5 mins you're at gate number 21, what more could you want. Would highly recommend it to those looking for a top hotel in prime location for an affordable price.

Nothing to dislike

The breakfast was amazing . They had every kind of breakfast. From desi to Arab to American and fresh eggs on request. The staff especially the workers are very kind and courteous. I can’t thank them enough for being so kind and fulfilling all our requests and needs. A huge shoutout to the workers that have taken care of us . They had complimentary juices and staff kept refilling it everyday. Hotel was 5 min short walk from the women’s entrance .

The room was a little small for 3 beds but other than that it was great.

It was third time staying in the hotel. As before location and facilities were exceptional. We got full board for whole family. I would like to state the quality of food was great even better than before. Any request made was completed promptly by staff. Will definitely recommend for anyone coming to Madinah Munawara to chose this place for stay. Overall how Sofitel has managed the hotel is Exceptional

Had a rude encounter once with one chef staying with bread warmer section during breakfast. Spoke rudely with my mom which was not acceptable. I did speak with him there. The chefs need to be courteous with guests. Also one supervisor in restaurant who was in his fifties by age wore suit most of time was always difficulty with staff working on floor. It made us uncomfortable how he treated them. Once he had us wait longer to check when we come to restaurant even seeing us everyday and knew we had full board with multiple rooms. One thing that was a bit annoying that out key cards gave us problems almost every other day. We had to go to reception to get that sorted.
