The hotel was really nice and in a good location. Staff were really friendly, and bedrooms good. Breakfast was also really good.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was very cold and when I asked for an extra blanket at night reception, the staff member not only bought a duvet but also a heater and sorted the TV when it went off. Very happy with help. We missed breakfast (our fault entirely, slept thru alarm). Staff helped us get a coffee and fruit, thankfully. Great staff all round.

07-01-25 I have just received a Penalty charge demanding £100 / £60 if paid within.28 days. I booked in advance and registered on the screen when we arrived too. Please can you conform this with Parkmaven.

The breakfast was excellent, offering plenty of choices and everything was hot.

Having been on the road for 7hours we opted to have our evening meal in the Hotel. The menu was not to our taste but we did find a main each, sadly rather bland and priced about 30% above what we think was its true value. We made no complaint about the food because that is the offering from budget hotels. Having said that we will go back time after time, they have great staff comfortable rooms and we have a good night's sleep (we will just pop out to eat)

We stayed here a year ago and came back as we were satisfied with our prior stay and knew what to expect. The hotel didn't disappoint. The staff was attentive and made us feel welcome, the room had everything we needed/expected. Easy access to the hotel from the motorway and perfect location for us going to Box End park (~8min drive). We were checking out early 5am on Sunday and had takeaway breakfast, which was a really good value (good variety) and in fact it was a life saviour later in the day :)

Bit of musty smell in the room - but after some time you get used to it. If we remember correctly, our room this year smelt worse than last year

The receptionist was exceptionally warm and friendly on arrival, as was the lady serving behind the bar in the evening. The rooms at Holiday Inn always have all the mod-cons and this was no exception. Good water pressure, which makes a change for a hotel shower.

The only thing I'd say was a minor negative was the fixtures and fittings were ever so slightly worn on the shower door and the bathroom tap. Both were slightly wobbly but not a negative at all, I just need to fill a box.

The room was clean and ideal. The breakfast was plentiful - lots of choice, top brands used. I would have liked the cooked breakfast to have been a bit hotter. Staff were helpful and friendly.

I requested for the sofa bed to be made up as 3 of us were staying in 1 room. It wasn’t made up; when I called down to reception, the lady came promptly and gave me some sheets and a duvet, but I didn’t have a sheet to put over the duvet nor a pillow. I was a bit disappointed by this!

Easy access to the hotel off the A road. Loads of parking close to entrance. Check in was quick and efficient. The lady on check in was fantastic. As were the staff at breakfast. The room was surprisingly spacious. Comfortable bed and sofa. Good tv in the room. Iron and board in the room. Decent shower and bathroom. Good amenities provided and spacious. The complementary breakfast was excellent. Choice of cereals, fruit & yoghurt, pastries, toast, sausages, bacon, beans and egg. Hot and cold drinks available. Without a doubt the best budget hotel we’ve stayed in and at £50 incredible value.

No sockets by one of then bedsides. USB port the other. The jams and marmite were in jars at breakfast with a spoon. Would prefer individual pots or packets. Nitpicking with both.

Good breakfast. Parking right outside. Very helpful staff. Quiet room, lovely little seating area that turned into a bed if needed. Good location for our needs.

No light near the air con control at the room entrance. I think there should have been a light over the long mirror but it didn’t work. Pillow was like a brick even though I chose the one that felt the softest. Air con blew right on the bed so I had to turn it off, luckily it wasn’t too cold.

The hotel was cheap, and from previous stays we know you get a decent sized room. Breakfast being included is always a bonus too! Good location for visiting family in the area.

The girl who checked us in at reception was so miserable! She had a face like thunder, didn't want to engage in any conversation, and basically looked like she was being held there at gunpoint. Terrible first impression for the hotel. Breakfast was a long affair, with items not being available after they'd ran out - took a long time to get a full breakfast together, and by then most of it was cold!
