A wonderful stay, I had a private room and bathroom and it was comparable to a hotel. It was very quiet despite it being a hostel, they do specify they are not a party hostel which I like. The location was 10/10, could easily walk all over Faro. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this stay to any type of traveller, and I would stay here again when next in Faro. I also booked a tour day of through the hostel with the company XTOURS ALGRAVE to the Benagil caves. This turned out to be a huge highlight of my trip and I'm so glad I booked it, the guide was amazing! I definitely recommend checking out the tours and excursions offered through the hostel.
The only issue I had was with the transfer from the airport that I had booked weeks in advance. I booked this as I was landing very late. However the transfer didn't arrive till an hour after I had exited baggage claim and I contacted the hostel several times. I would recommend taking a bus to the hostel if coming during the day, or just grabbing a taxi if coming at night, do not book the transfer service. They were also not able to offer me any sort of discount on the price of the transfer.

very clean, nice vibe, nice crowd, events organized for guests, good location 5min to center but away from the crowds and noise
there is apparently some fine print somewhere that they have lockers but no locks included, which is unexpected for this price range, they don’t have them for rent, and you can only buy a padlock for 5€, and an extra towel is another 5€ which is ridiculous, one of the reception staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful, amd had an attitude, said that usually hostels don’t include locks, which isn’t true, for this price range is rather the exception, her colleague was a bit nicer trying to offer solutions. but it was unpleasant. also they send too many messages through the platform and all of them are long, and mostly unnecessary, should be short and concise for easy read on the phone

The hostel is located perfectly in the centre, a walking distance from the station (8 minutes) and close to all sights. I stayed in a private room with own bathroom, the room was very nice and cosy, a nice bathroom and a comfortable bed. The common area was also well designed, a big kitchen, a big shared space with tables and armchairs. Unfortunately, no breakfast option is offered, but this is understandable since it is a hostel. The staff was very kind and helpful.

This was my first-ever stay in a hostel, and I must say – it was AMAZING! The best decision I made was switching from a hotel room to a hostel. I had a private room with a private bathroom, which allowed me to maintain privacy while also exploring the hostel environment. I must say, it was such an amazing experience. The hostel was overall very nice, clean, and comfy. The receptionists were always happy to help and offer advice. There’s a room where you can leave your luggage, and even after you check out, you can still hang out in the common area and don’t have to leave right away. There are so many activities to do in Faro, and the hostel helps you with signing up. There’s also a WhatsApp group – such a fantastic idea – where the hostel posts about various activities happening that day. They also have dinner every evening, followed by a pub crawl. I stayed for two nights and joined the dinner and pub crawl both evenings, and I must say, it was such a fun experience. The dinner was delicious, with a starter, main course, dessert, and a beer included, all for a reasonable price. You meet so many people during dinner, and it felt like enjoying a meal with family. Afterward, you can join the pub crawl, which is an absolute blast! I must say, this hostel was a wonderful surprise, and I hope there are more hostels like this because it’s exactly what I’m looking for when traveling solo. Thank you for what you do, Hostellicious – it’s truly amazing!

I loved the desk setup in the private room! The complimentary coffee, excellent location, and inviting common areas made the stay even better. Since I was at the end of a three-month trip and feeling low on social energy, I appreciated that it was a relaxed space where I could comfortably keep to myself. At the same time, there was a great social atmosphere for those who wanted it. The hostel struck a perfect balance—it was lively until around 10 or 11 PM (I can’t quite remember), but afterward, it was quiet and peaceful for a good night’s rest.
The private room was very bare-bones and could use a little extra love. One of the side tables was dented and slanted downwards, and there were visible holes in the stark white walls from where dorm beds used to be. The bathroom could use some improvements as well—additional counter space and hooks would be helpful, and the large, communal layout lacked privacy. While this was fine for a budget stay, a little extra attention to detail would go a long way in making the space more inviting.

I liked this Hostel a lot and I have stayed here before which is the best thing I can say about this place.
The online registration process was, I thought, over intrusive and asking for too much personal information and data. Most of it unnecessary for standard online registration.

Great location, friendly staff, and fun activities to opt into if I wanted to. Hostel was clean, with a large kitchen if people want to use it and a pleasant, spacious lounge area and dining room. I had a private room and bathroom which was clean and comfortable.
The check in was a little slower than I'd like, but the staff were friendly and welcoming and processed as quickly as they could. I was just unlucky to be behind a walk-up customer. One thing that could have been better is that as a (small) fat person, I could only just fit through the shower door in my room and often knocked the handle of the shower slightly. This was a minor inconvenience for me but could be a major issue for anyone bigger than me.

For me who work remotely and wanted to stay for a longer time this was the best hostel. The staff is A+. Helpful, knowledgeable and welcoming. I slept in a female dorm and the beds have a big drawer to lock up your bag, curtains for privacy and a light and some outlets. The common areas were great for sitting and working but also for just hanging out. The couche's were so comfortable. The kitchen is clean, got everything you need to cook and also got three stove's so several people can cook at the same time. I had an amazing time at Hostellicious!
The bathrooms are mixed gender. It works but I'm more comfortable when they're not.

This was my first hostel experience at the age of 52! However, being in the military, it was very much like living in a barracks except it was nicer, co-ed and more comfortable. I’m going to suggest the bed curtains to the Army! The location was great, walking distance of bus/train station, shops and cultural events. The best part of Hostellicious are all of the excursions and in-house events they host. I went bodyboarding to Benagil Cave and had the best time! The staff was also very attentive to my needs!
The common rooms and kitchen could have been cleaner. Many people used the kitchen and should be responsible enough to clean up after themselves but the staff should still go behind the guests for a thorough cleaning throughout the day.
