Ideal location to climb Mount Snowdon and propose. The trail starts across the road. The breakfast was fabulous. Rooms were spacious and had everything we required for a comfortable stay.
Some of the breakfast staff could have been a little friendlier. I felt like an inconvinience asking for a hot breakfast and then having to return for a knife and fork. She replied "They should be already on the table". I had to explain why they weren't on the table rather than her just going to obtain some for me. That made breakfast a little uncomfortable. However I didn't allow it to spoil the holiday experience. Overall it was a lovely place to stay.

Great location and fantastic views. The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout our week long stay, couldn't fault the service at all. We ate at the bar some evenings and the food is also fab and very nicely prepared with good portion sizes. Breakfast in the conservatory was also brilliant with the views it afforded whilst munching toast! Executive room had loads of space for a week stay so we didn't feel crowded. Beds comfortable and all the amenities you'd expect inside the room. Honestly the best hotel I've stayed at. We both had a great time.
Can't find anything to fault it was a great stay.

Dinner and breakfast standards were exceptional. Virtually no wait from ordering our dinner till it arrived, piping hot, well presented and fantastic taste! We stayed here for 2 nights and both commented on how lovely the food and service was. The hotel is literally at the foot of Snowdon and is a perfect base to stay for exploring the mountain. We will definitely stay here again as the value for money is well worth it.
The double room decor was a little dated. Sealant round the bath and sink was pretty stained, old dark wood around the bath and sink and a lot of stains on the ceiling. The double bed mattress (2 single beds pushed together) was very hard. Baring this in mind, however, the room itself was very clean.

The Hotel is in a great location for hiking around the Mount Snowdon area, with lots of parking. All the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I booked a small single room, it was quite 'compact' as noted on the website but it was clean, comfortable and adequate for my stay. I had dinner on the bar on two nights, the bar drinks were reasonably priced and the food/service was excellent (I would recommend the fish and chips). There was a good choice of hot and cold food at Breakfast, again the service and quality was very good. I also had a very good packed lunch for my trip up Mount Snowdon which I ordered the night before.
I had a good stay, no complaints at all.

Breakfast was lovely, very ample and great to be able to sit in the outer side conservatory to look over the mountains and Llanberis town. Bedroom was comfortable, and quiet and had a all we needed after a cold and wet walk up Snowden. Ideal location for walking Snowden and local mountains, the sherpa bus shuttle service is a couple of minutes walk away. Brilliant views from our 3rd floor room across the mountains. Staff were friendly and helpful. Some things looked a tad tired, but this did not detract from our stay. We will certainly be returning.
Some things in the room and corridors looked a tad tired, but this did not detract from our stay.

Great location on the southern edge of Llanberis. Ideal for walking Snowdon, catching the summit train, walking around the lake or walking to the Slate Museum. Plenty of parking. Friendly check-in. Good size room. Comfortable bed. WiFi adequate for general email - didn't try streaming stuff. Large TV in room with decent channel selection. Bar meal (pizza) was OK. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold. They were catering for coach parties when I was there, so the bar area was pretty full but generally there is loads of room - it's a classic old style large resort hotel.
The hotel is quite rambling, so leave a corn trail when finding your room from reception, especially if it's on the 3rd floor! T

Loved how everything was close together (aka shops and other) rooms were excellent and very comfortable. Theres a few things that just made the trip even better such as: 1) the hotel room tv has more things available such as YouTube which i was very happy about as most places only offer 1 things to watch. 2) Breakfast included was great! Amazing breakfast times for those getting up early and late, Food was spectacular as they had a wonderful verity of breakfast options (including gluten free) which i was super excited about. 3) location was at the perfect spot as everything is close together. Especially the snowdon mountain walk. 4) Staff were super lovely and very helpful with anything that was needed. Very kind and canât thank them enough for the help to find everything.
Theres not a negative thing i could probably say about my stay at this hotel as staff, food and rooms were amazing!

I loved the beautiful grounds, the quiet location just a few minutes walk from the gorgeous town of Llanberis. The staff were lovely - friendly and very helpful. My room was large and comfortable with a mini fridge, coffee making facilities and large mugs, which I loved. My windows overlooked the gorgeous gardens. Access to Dolbadarn castle was via a short path through the grounds, rich with the Autumn colours at this time of year. I loved every minute of my trip and I would have loved to extend my stay, if I'd had more time!!
I would have liked more rice based vegetarian options on the menu there were options but as I dislike pasta and burgers, my choices were more limited than most people.

The central location was fabulous and scenery was stunning. Perfect setting. Great size room (suite with mountain view) furniture looked tired.
The rooms were warm. There were free standing fans which we kept on all night but rooms still very warm. We visited in March. So no air con which would be a problem in height of summer I imagine. Bar meal was excellent. Staff very attentive and helpful. However bar drinks were quite expensive. ÂŁ10 for small mini bottle of Prosecco was steep! ÂŁ29 for a bottle! Breakfast was average. Not much in way of continental selection.

Breakfast choices were fantastic and delicious with a good selection of cold and hot buffet items đ. We initially stayed for 2 nights in the coach house. Staff were accommodating when we added on an extra night's stay in the coach house after becoming freezing and exhausted (but feeling a sense of achievement) from summiting Yr Wyddfa in the snow đ. Just be aware it is a bit of a walk from the reception area to the coach house, which is connected to the main hotel (coach house area does not have a lift if you are carrying luggage). Location of the hotel itself is great and only a few minutes walk to the start of the Llanberis path đđ».
