Great spacious, clean, modern large rooms with fridge and small cooker and microwave

It was quite a bit away from the centre of town but plenty of amenities nearby which was useful We personally didn’t like the lack of privacy with other guests constantly up and down the stairs outside our room meaning we had to keep the curtains closed … but I would hasten to add this is a personal preference

Location was good as it was near attractions and never really smelled like sulfer at least not strong enough to bother you. We were away from downtown though so if you want some night life then you will need to take a short car ride or taxi. Rooms were pretty good. Big enough for sure. Had free parking also had a jacuzzi in the back though we didn’t use it. All in all good value for money and staff were friendly though not really 24 hours but think you can call them at night though we never did. They have laundry service but it closes at 8 when staff go home and opens again at 8:30. Restaurant there is decent japanese food. Its a sushi train but it does have other japanese food.

Breakfast isnt amazing i would skip it and have breakfast elsewhere.

The room was clean and big enough for our needs (enough space inside for our 2 bikes). Parking right next to the room. Check-in was easy and quick. The hot tub was also a nice addition, but we didn't use it too much because we were out most evenings and you can't use it after 10 pm) and also because you need to fill it up for every use which takes a lot of time.

We had breakfast, but we didn't get any water/juice with it and only an instant coffee in a paper cup. That surprised us since it was served in a restaurant, where you would expect a decent coffee machine.

We returned to this motel after five years for our second stay, driven by my child's fond memories of the jacuzzi. The overall facilities are well-maintained, and we were relieved to find that the sofa bed was quite comfortable, despite our initial concerns.

There were a few hiccups this time around. The host no longer provides bubbles for the jacuzzi, which was a bit of a letdown. The pricing was also on the higher side, likely due to our stay during the Christmas season. Most notably, we encountered an issue with the hot water running out after filling only half the jacuzzi tub, something we didn't experience during our previous visit.

Conveniently located. Room is comfortable though the table and chairs were a little bit sticky. Kitchenette is upgraded towards a kitchen with available two-burner cooktop. Wonderful included breakfast - option of Japanese ramen or western breakfast (toast, eggs, bacon). We chose the Japanese ramen at the attached Japanese restaurant and it was great! This is a pretty family friendly property - lots of kids staying enjoying the pool and other amenities. If you’re looking for quiet without kids running around, this may not be for you. The kitchenette could have been slightly better equipped - just 1 pan, 1 pot, no lid for the pan, 1 kitchen knife, limited other equipment. We were still able to cook a nice meal there, but many of our other motor inns along our road trip were better equipped even if they didn’t offer a cooktop (others offered a roll of paper towels, a few kitchen knives, a steak knife better than just a butter knife to cut with, salt/pepper, plastic wrap, 1 or 2 larger bowls or serving pans).

Fine for a 1 night stay. Could offer a bit more kitchen equipment for guests actually cooking in the room.

Facility is easy accessible, has everything you need and more. We came to visit Rotorua to celebrate a big achievement and upon knowing it, the staff left us in the room a congratulation letter with a welcoming gift, which was absolutely adorable. After a long day visiting and hiking around, the spa included with the room was a bliss! Very happy about it

The parking unfortunately is limited and were a little hard to find after evening time, however the main road is an extra options even though you have to walk few meters, which was fine for us.

The room was huge and the beds were comfortable, even the pull-out sofa bed. It was nice to have a little kitchen area included. We also took advantage of the hot tub out on the patio area one night. The location was good. Off the main road so quite quiet, but not too far to drive to town or other attractions.

The manual said that rooms would be cleaned daily; however, no one ever came to clean ours. Staff was helpful when I went to ask for another towel and toilet paper but I'm still not sure why they weren't serviced. The parking can be tricky when the attached restaurant is open. One night we returned to find no spaces in the lot and had to wait for staff to leave the restaurant for the evening before we could park.

This was a US-style motel, with parking outside the room, but MUCH cleaner and newer than its US equivalents. There is a guest laundry that we did not use. Our room (15) had a jacuzzi outside in a small back yard, but again we didn’t use this. Breakfast was available at an adjacent Japanese restaurant.

Breakfast was one course - either Japanese noodle soup or full English breakfast - but too little for me. There was no fruit, for example. It’s not in the centre of Rotorua and took us 5-10 minutes by car to get there.

Was a nice motel at a good price. Had a spa unit which was ok. A bit of a drive from Rotorua CBD but as most people have a car this is not a problem. Would stay here again

Had breakfast at the hotel and was a bit weird and was horrible. Had to order the night before and give a time for the breakfast for $18. Only a cooked breakfast or Japanese breakfast was available. Cooked breakfast was horrible. Was cooked before we arrived. Coffee served in a paper cup. Poached egg hard. Toast cold and bacon and sausage burned. And was a very small portion. Easily the worst cooked breakfast I have had in years. They also do Sushi in this restaurant and it looks so cheap and dead,, I would avoid this restaurant for anything.

Good location. Not to far from shops etc. liked the Izumi experience. Really enjoyed it. Good value for money. One thing is maybe the extra stuff such as the hot stuff could be selected by patrons u stead of all of the list on the buffet menu. We appreciated it very much but there was some that we didn’t eat so it could save money or products moving forward. I would have only selected 3 items from the buffet only but really enjoyed the experience. Will be definitely going again next time I am in rotorua. Thank you.
