Very smart, welcoming and helpful staff. My room was lovely and very clean.

Fantastic customer service. We had booked several rooms for one night and decided we needed an additional night. We had many requirements due to accessibility. With phone calls and emails their responses were timely with reassurance and the hotel were amazing at accommodating these. Staff were friendly, nothing was too much trouble and they were caring throughout our stay.

The price of the breakfast put us off being fixed and we went to a lovely cafe in the countryside, but would have stayed if you could have a choice to buy different items or a lower fixed price.

We were disappointed that the sheet did not fit the mattress very well. There was so little to tuck in that it slid about through the night.. a pet hate of mine sadly

The room was light and airy and well equipped. It was also clean and did not feel 'dated' or in need of decoration. The bed was firm but comfortable. The breakfast buffet was more than adequately stocked and constantly being re-stocked as required. The choice for both continental and hot breakfasts was really good, varied and appetising.

The carpets in the communal areas appear to be in need of up-dating or cleaning. The decoration generally though was of a good to high standard and the rooms attractive and comfortable as you would expect of a Novotel. Check in was fine but the person who checked us in was not terribly welcoming and we suspected might be a trainee and therefore still learning how to operate systems while interacting with quests ? There was no information in the room about the hotel facilities, meal times etc. It is supposed to be on a welcoming screen when you turn on the TV but there is very little information (Reception and Restaurants - and no phone numbers) and no indication how you access the TV data ! A brief fold out card of hotel information would be very useful.

Stunning value for money. Huge room, comfortable bed, friendly staff, trusted brand. Exactly what was need to split the journey to get some well needed rest. Happily worked from the room in the morning, plenty of natural light, no pressure on time.

The reception area is lovely , very welcoming, feels very grand & staff are lovely and friendly. The room was a nice size and bed was comfy for a good nights sleep. Fan already in the room which we needed for the warm weather too. Restaurant was nice & the breakfast was yummy

The only downside was the rest of the hotel (i.e corridors etc) look like they need some TLC. The reception is so lovely and the rooms are finished to a nice standard that the corridors that are battered & carpet stained looks like it needs redecorating but this doesnt take away from it being a nice hotel & having a comfortable stay

The staff were super friendly & helpful! The hotel was really clean. Ideal location for what we needed.

perfect location for what we needed , glad it had a bar as not much around the vicinity, rooms were ok plenty parking spaces.

our friends room (439) air con not working so tried leaving the window open but traffic noise from motorway is constant , they did get supplied a fan for the next night , our room (440 ) we got the noise of the fans on the roof again with the window open and closed started from about 5am I'm hard of hearing and even I struggled , make sure you take id if you want to pay cash for your stay ( I kid you not ) what is the world coming to., I did request when booked a ground floor bit didn't get it but they have a lift so not to bad

Room was excellent, staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Restaurant food and service was also of a very high standard
