Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel is a luxurious hotel providing 5-star service. The breakfast is excellent, with good-quality food, a good view of Bristol Cathedral and excellent service from the staff. The staff members at the check-in counter are of great and exceptional service-minded. Big compliment to Jossie, Jamie, Kim, the lady with black hair at the reception counter on 11 Sept in the morning, the male staff at the reception counter on 12 Sept in the afternoon time and the housekeeping. All of them made us feel at home! We will be back again and again!

The housekeeping could have consistency in providing amenities. On the first night we checked in, we had no floor mat in the bathroom. This can cause safety risks to guests.

The staff in the hotel and also restaurant were excellent . The food was very good too. It was lovely that we had a free donut for afternoon tea in the lounge . It was a lovely little touch that made the stay extra special for us . We also loved the fact that before and after diner there was a great lounge area to relax in. The parking was expensive but the going rate and really handy for the hotel and central bristol . Secur8ty seemed very good and staff were very quick at moving on and out any less desirable that trued to sneak in and rest on the sofas . We really appreciated that. The rooms were wonderful and bright .

I had a wonderful stay at this lovely, historic hotel in the centre of Bristol. The grand reception and elegant corridors add to its charm, creating a truly aesthetic and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making my stay even more enjoyable. My room was spacious, well-appointed, and comfortable, featuring a large, cozy bed and a modern, clean bathroom. It was the perfect space to relax after a long day. The Miller & Carter restaurant on-site was excellent. The waitress was friendly and attentive, and the young man at the bar provided great service. The food and drinks were delicious, and the overall dining experience was fantastic. Great value for money, and I would definitely stay here again—whether for business or a trip with family. Highly recommended!

The car park was easy to access with plenty of spaces, which was convenient. However, it would be great if hotel guests were offered a discounted rate instead of paying the standard charge applied to day visitors.

The hotel is magnificant and in the most perfect location the car park under the hotel just made our stay even easier as we jad travelled from Wales to go to the theatre which was less than 100 metres from the hotel. Our room was on the ground floor and was immacculately clean and so well equipped. The beds were super comfy and the room so quiet we actually over slept it was so tranquil! Breakfast was in the Miller and Carter restaurant which is within the hotel and the buffet style was plentiful and food delicious. We actually ate in the restaurant before the theatre again making our stay so easy! I would most definitely recommend this hotel and definitely stay there again for any visits to Bristol a big shout out to all the staff they work hard and were very professional well done Bart in the restaurant you are a superstar!

We stayed at the Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel from 29th to 31st December to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it was a wonderful experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of space for the three of us. Our ten-year-old son especially loved his bed, and we enjoyed a lovely view of the docks (or is it the Harbourside? Either way, it was beautiful!). The hotel’s central location was ideal for exploring Bristol, as we were able to walk everywhere with ease. Having the car park right under the building was incredibly convenient too, especially with a child in tow and the chilly December weather. It made getting in and out hassle-free, which was a huge bonus. The bar was another highlight—stylish, welcoming, and the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. Overall, the Marriott Royal offered everything we needed for a comfortable, memorable stay. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Bristol, whether for a special occasion or a weekend getaway.

The accessible room was a very good size and the bathroom too. All easy to move around with the wheelchair. Very central location and room overlooked College Green. Soundproofing was very effective from busy road. Staff very helpful and good meal in the restaurant. The two course menu was good value, tasty and plentiful.

The lack of any supplies in the room and a basic kettle and sachets was not what we expected from a four star hotel. No cotton wool, shower hat etc so had to ask at Reception. Restaurant drinks extortionate - paid more for a glass than exactly the same brand for a bottle. Furniture in the restaurant in need of replacement.

The hotel is beautiful and very classic elegance. The receptionist was very friendly as was the bar stuff who delivered room service. The bath was wonderful and lovely, relaxing and immaculately clean experience. Really appreciate it The extra choices of teas in the room which you don’t always get these days. The location is excellent and walking distance from the town centre and other attractions.

The room service we ordered arrived cold likely due to The distance the waiter had to walk from the restaurant. Breakfast although very tasty was manic! The service was very poor and some of the staff literally could not speak English. Hopefully this was just due to the busy Christmas period but it was a little disappointing.

Absolutely beautiful building with attentive staff and fabulous restaurant on site. Parking extremely handy too.

Felt that the bedroom was a bit lacking considering the detail and striking features everywhere else in the hotel. Particularly the shower as the grout and shower screen were particularly mouldy and that really took away from the rest of the bathroom. Also the shower head hadn’t been connected properly so went everywhere when it first went on. It should have been checked it was screwed on properly and that the mould issues were reported and dealt with before anyone was to stay in there again. Pillows and beds exceptionally comfortable but the glass on top of the wooden furniture in the bedroom really needed a good clean and more importantly to be fixed down securely as the bedside table glass nearly slid off completely.

The room was very clean and staff at the reception staff were lovely, very kind and helpful.

The guy who sat us breakfast was very rude. He was initially rude but when asking for my name and room number I accidentally mispronounced it. After this he seemed to get worse, just being patronising and making it feel very uncomfortable. Once I'd corrected the room number he continued to be rather annoying about the mistake. I was apologetic once I realised I'd made the mistake but to be honest it was very small and my name was still correct so I don't think he is justified in how he spoke to us.

Location and carparking, the room was big with a lovely bathroom, we liked the bar and reception rooms.

The smart TV had a habit of crashing so we needed to switch off and on a few times. The bathroom fan didn't work making the room steamy. The big issue was not knowing if we have or haven't paid for the car park, I asked at reception and later emailed and even tried calling the number on the wall in the carpark. I still haven't been charged and the reply I get from enquiring is just to say.... As long as you gave us the car reg when you checked in your ok .... I'm still worried about a parking fine coming through my letterbox in a week or so 😟
