Location of the hotel was very central (opposite Bristol registry office!). Hotel looks like a grand dame from the outside. It's a bit dated inside but clean and the rooms were ok. Staff were very nice and friendly.

The ramp outside needs to be upgraded to a proper ramp. It's dangerous both for wheelchair users and people walking along the street. The Starbucks coffee in the lounge was horrible, couldn't even drink it. It would be better to just get your own good machine and get a few of the lovely staff to do a 1 day barista course.

We liked the decor in the toilets downstairs. The place was very clean and funky throughout. It was great having parking next door! And the bar/restaurant downstairs. All the staff were really friendly. 🙂 Easy check in and out. Right in the middle of the Bristol centre, it was so easy walking to the harbour front and the Cabot circus. The room was upgraded free as housekeeping weren't finished in the standard room we'd booked, I'd recommend the upgrade as the room was much bigger and had a fridge and a proper coffee machine. Love the shampoo/shower gel/handwash/moisturiser in the bathroom, very nice products that smelt lovely. The room was very well cleaned and stocked. Would definitely stay again! ❤️ The carpets are really trippy; as in they mess with your vision as you're walking. 😅🤣 They are black and white opposing stripes in a zigzag pattern. Makes walking back to the room after a night out a little more entertaining. 😃

The fridge didn't work in the room. 119.

The staff were excellent, really friendly and helpful. From domestic to front of house. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from a lot of attractions. The room was spotlessly clean. The car park is a multi-story right opposite the hotel.

The wall mounted TV was mostly hidden from view by the wardrobe when you were in bed. The wardrobe was very cheaply made, from I think, ply wood, and very noisy metal, cage type doors. Power sockets were only available on one side of the bed. Only one lift was working. Spa treatments were unavailable since the pandemic. Minor issues in all.

Great location and the price

A little scruffy in places in the bedroom and a drippy tap however was clean. Also if you did not book breakfast the night before it went up by £5.

Great location and very handy to have a car park in this part of town. The reception and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room was equipped with an iron and tea facilities. We had a great view from our room. The staff at the wedding were lovely and efficient and the food was good.

The standard room was a bit small and had limited storage for clothes - the hangers were over the desk with the kettle. The bathroom was a bit tired. One of the lifts was out of order. The bar closed a bit early. The restaurant was quite small, so breakfast was very busy on the Sunday morning.

We were upgraded. Receptionist took one look at my daughter who is 6ft and recognised our compact room might be a bit of a squeeze. Upgraded us. We were very comfortable thank you. We did not have breakfast at the hotel as we had other plans.

I hoped to treat my daughter and her friend to a couple of drinks at the bar before they went out for the night. Sadly the bar was understocked. There was no soda water and no lemonade. I would have liked to have seen an ale on the list of drinks. Ran out of Gordons Gin on the second evening. Not a dasaster as there are plenty of places locally to get a drink, however it would have been nice to be able to support the hotel further in our purchases.

The hotel reception was beautiful. The staff were very helpful and were able to answer any questions I had. The room itself was very clean. The bed was firm but comfortable and the TV was large. All amenities were in the room; such as iron and ironing board, hairdryer, pleasant bodywash.

The car park was very tight turning so I wouldn't use it if you are a nervous driver. Sadly the lift button to my floor was broken which made it a little annoying getting to my room. The hotel was also a little difficult to navigate to.

Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were all friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The central location was ideal for eating out - great choice of restaurants. Excellent buffet breakfast. I wasn't going to pay the advertised £15 a head but the night before i was told it was only £10 if I preordered. This was worth the money and the choice was excellent. Again nothing was too much trouble. When I asked if there were any more croisants, some more were brought out straight away.

There was really nothing to complain about. I travelled with my 2 daughters to Bristol Comic con and it was a perfect weekend from start to finish. We are now looking forward to next years con and hope we can get room 107 again!!
