The location was good, had a beautiful view. The room was SUPERB, one of the best ones I have ever stayed in. It was really huge, comfortable, proper heating, the bathrooms were great. The breakfast was above all expectations, the variety was endless, and it tasted great. The whole hotel had a great Soviet vibe, it was like stepping back in time. Absolutely loved it. If you want a real Soviet experience, this is the place for you. I can only recommend it. The staff was also very nice and helpful, and the free parking was a bonus.

The light in the room... light bulbs and laps were missing, not too well maintained rooms. At breakfast there was only instant coffee, which was a little bit of a let down considering the rest of the breakfast. The reception area was renovated, but unfortunately, it looked like lipstick on a gorilla, it didn't match with the rest of the hotel. Also there were no drain stoppers in the bathrooms, but with a little bit of creativity, you could get passed that.

Clean normal oldschool hotel for the hyper cheap price on top location…

Room phone didn’t work, i wanted to complain on jackass next door because he was yelling on the phone until 01:00h 🫤

Due to the rather modest overall rating of this hotel, I read reviews on the Internet very carefully and for much longer than usual before booking. Maybe I can provide some clarity with this review: Yes, the hotel has already seen its best days... BUT: I had a superior room on the 6th floor with a view of the Danube. If you do NOT book a budget room, you will certainly feel comfortable! The room and the bathroom are big enough, very clean, the furniture is very good, the mattress is a dream (I haven't slept so well in a "strange" bed for a long time!) and the view is impressive! The hotel is very well located, about a 40 minute pleasant walk from the center and about 20 minutes walk from the center of Zemun, where you will find a variety of excellent and very inexpensive restaurants. The breakfast in the hotel is very, very rich and tasty, in addition to the usual dishes (scrambled eggs, fried bacon, sausages, cold platters, bread, sweet pastries, etc.), there is pizza (!) and a changing "main course" every day (fish, baked chicken among others). And, what should not go unmentioned: the coffee, although filter coffee from the thermos, is very, very good! Finally, I can only say: I will definitely book this room (number 632) again during my next visit to Belgrade!

Maybe a shower curtain on the bathtub would have been very pleasant... But since I was traveling alone and the floor had enough time to dry between my stays in the room, everything was fine!

We had a memorable stay at Hotel Yugoslavia, a former luxurious resort with a rich history and a lively atmosphere. Our suite was spacious and comfortable, with three TVs and several bathrooms to accommodate our needs. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet, where we had the chance to meet the North Korean delegation and exchange some friendly words.

The hotel also hosted a DJ party every night, which was fun but also very loud. The bass was so strong that it shook our room and made it hard to sleep. One of our delegation members had an unfortunate incident when he got locked in one of the bathrooms and had to wait for the other guests to rescue him. Despite these minor inconveniences, we had a great time at Hotel Yugoslavia and would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and exciting experience.

An amazing opportunity to travel back in time to the former pinnacle of hoteliering in FYR. A grand old lady who has today seen better times, with only three floors open to guests, however a great place to stay with wonderful Danube views from the balconies. Built by Tito, visited by the Queen, bombed by NATO this hotel has seen it all in its 50+ years. Wonderful 70s period architecture features including 2 inch thick marble stairs, period light fittings, “The Shining” style carpets and corridors - this place just oozes character and the rooms are perfectly comfortable. The included breakfast was also above average and the Swarovski Crystal chandeliers a joy. If you can overlook the faded nature then this is a great place to stay in New Beograd.

The bathrooms were not great but acceptable. The staff were not exactly friendly, but that added to the authenticity, as did the “Forbidden Official Area” of the 5th floor.

While scrolling through the reviews, one might stumble upon mentions of the hotel's current condition or perhaps the need for maintenance in certain facilities. Admittedly, there are aspects of the hotel that might not meet the standards of modern luxury. However, it's crucial to approach Hotel Jugoslavia with a different perspective. Staying at Hotel Jugoslavia isn't just about the amenities or service; it's about experiencing a piece of history. This hotel stands as a testament to the resilience of Belgrade and its people. From its grand opening during the Jugoslav era to its survival through the dissolution of Jugoslavia and the heartbreaking bombardment in 1999, the walls of this hotel have witnessed pivotal moments that have shaped the nation's history. So when you check in, you aren't just booking a room - you're stepping into a narrative, one that the hotel is eager to share with its guests. It's an opportunity to connect with the past, understand the challenges faced, and appreciate the resilience of a nation and its people. Moreover, I must commend the exemplary staff. Their support was unwavering, and the customer service was commendable. Any requirements or inquiries were addressed promptly, reflecting professionalism and dedication. Thank you, Hotel Jugoslavia, for preserving and sharing your story with us. It was an experience I will cherish and recommend to others looking to grasp a deeper understanding of Belgrade's history.

There was no hot water available in the room.

The check in was fast, we had no issues even though we arrived very late in the evening. The room was better then expected, 2 bathrooms, balcony, river view, just as we asked for. We had plenty of space. The breakfast was lovely, plenty of chioces from eggs, to cold cuts, and from pastery to cakes, the fresh coffee was great, and there were also plenty of juices to choose from. It was a step back in time to the Soviet era.

The drainage blockers were missing from the bathroom, and we had no hot water, but it was just like in the good old days. The cleanliness... well not the best, stains on the carpets, but it was OK. Unfortunately the entrance, reception area was renovated and it is hidious, doesn't match the place's atmosphere at all.

Good value for money. A blast from the past (with a modern twist). Amazing restaurant downstairs! (must try the homemade icetea)

Unfortunately I arrived after a big group of tourists and had to wait about 20 minutes before I could check in. Tip for reception: if you are overwhelmed during parts of the day, it's not a big deal, it can happen but I suggest you share an honest estimation of waiting time (I could've had dinner or go for a drink during this waiting time). After a long and tiring trip, waiting in the lobby is the last thing you want to do.

Overall the hotel is of course not what it used to be back in the day. We all know that. But if you're looking for a cool and affordable place with a, say 80's vibe - AND a rich Yugoslavian history - this is it! Absolutely loved the psychedelic carpets in our hallway, beautiful retro lamps etc. Nice breakfast buffet in a gorgeous space with big windows. Helpful staff, thumbs up!

Our room was kinda run down with an old(er) bathroom. But on the other hand; that's what we were looking for!

Close to the Danube and the giant park to walk in. Lots of restaurants nearby, including one in the hotel. Breakfast was great. Lots of options to choose from.

The door to the balcony was not closing all the way and you could hear traffic and some cold was entering the room. Heating is done with air-conditioning which is noisy.
