Hotel Amanhavis

The hotel is located in the centre of the village, very close to bars and restaurants. The room was very nice it was a themed room as all of the rooms are here. The bed was very comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay. The hosts made us feel very welcome especially as we have been eating here but never stayed before so it was like coming home! As the weather was so hot, it was nice to take a dip in the pool to cool off after a day out. We ate in the restaurant and the food was amazing as always thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Burkhart and Leslie are wonderful hosts, and we enjoyed our breakfasts with Margot. Dinner was fabulous. We had two rooms as there are no rooms for a family traveling together, which was kind of nice 🙂. Had another great meal in town, which is very nice and full of restaurants to try. Great location for a day trip to Ronda, Setenil, or Caves de Pileta. We only made it to Ronda.

Glad for the fan over the bed as the A/C is a little weak. But no complaints, we slept comfortably and rooms are good sized.

A small and very unique hotel. Everyone were amazing and so friendly, really gives you the old school hotel kind of feeling with personal treatment you just don't experience in more modern hotels. The onsite restaurant is truly wonderful, serving probably the best dinner in our trip through the Spainsh coast. There are also plenty of restaurants and other options within walking distance. It's about a 20 minutes drive to the beach at Marbella. Definitely stop the car near the front entrance and drop off the bags before looking for parking nearby, as the streets in Benahavís can be very steep.

The hotel isn't new (which is part of it's charm). Noise cancellation is an issue, with loud sounds of cars from the street or other guests until the late hours.

Fifth visit to the Amanhavis. As usual the cuisine was exceptional. Burkhard and Leslie are welcoming proprietors and are very helpful. The location is at he 'top' of the village close to the square and numerous other restaurants for which Benahavis is famous. The village continues to grow in a respectful manner allowing for increased amenities and activities that visitors and locals can enjoy without spoiling the natural setting in the hills. Still love the ambience and the rather special wildlife in the area (if you know where to look.)

There really is nothing that we do not like about the hotel or village. Yes it is at the top of a hill so you may have a little walk after parking your car. Other than that there is nothing to stop you enjoying the Amanhavis.

Unique and funky. Romantic and peaceful. Outstanding restaurant, outstanding service. Probably the best staff I have ever encountered. Right in the middle of the town and parking available just a short distance away. Maybe not suitable for a long term stay unless you want peace and quiet, but for a retreat from the normal, it's perfect. I highly recommend a stay and dinner at this property. I definitely will return again.

The weather, but that's no fault of the staff or the property. As outstanding as our stay was, I can only imagine what it would have been like if the weather had been better.

We found the customer service was to a very high standard and extremely welcoming. The hotel was in the perfect location and was charming throughout. We loved the peaceful ambience of our room and it matched perfectly our goal of a relaxing short break.

We didn't like walking through the dining room when people were having a meal but were fortunate to have been made aware of the out of hours emergency exit next to our room that we were happy to use during these times.

If you like boutique hotels with its quirky (in a nice way) rooms fabulous food and amazing personal service, you'll love this place! Located in the heart of Benahavis and minutes walk away from the local shops bars and restaurants. We chose to eat in the hotel restaurant which has an extensive menu of meat fish and veggie options. And a special mention to Margot the charming manager/breakfast chef and hospitality executive who made out stay feel special. We will be back.

Superb selection for the breakfast, the poached eggs were amazing! It was served by the plunge pool where bird song and the peacefulness enveloped you. They have a great chef who delivers dishes at dinner that melts in the mouth with flavours that are gorgeous. A very relaxed, friendly secret oasis in the beautiful mountain village of Benahavis.

WI-fi weak and slow breakfast good,and you need to know if want it or not one night before ( i do understand, just to be fixed , but could be better quality for the price 14EUR Per PAX some time the hot water takes a little to much to be some kind of hot. the towels was not changed every day. It is a good hotel with a parking lot far away after climbing a hill

Good location. Very atmospheric with lovely Moorish decor and interestingly themed rooms. Clean, great breakfast.

Car parking is a bit away from the hotel but was free. We were given a form for each of us to fill in as to what we wanted for breakfast. it took ages to fill in and then it was a breakfast buffet anyway. Might have been more efficient just to ask for requests for the hot food.
