Mballa and Mirona (the lady in the white top at Abama Beach, apologies if that's spelt wrong) were SO incredibly friendly and polite, a real pleasure to deal with as was Gladys at the Beach Club restaurant. The restaurant options are brilliant, everywhere is spotlessly clean and the spa is amazing. I will be back.

There needs to be more adult-only areas I think - given the price you have to pay (even if you don't opt for the adult only villas which are more expensive), the amount of children at the beach and the main pool is quite a lot - loads of us also just want peace and quiet.

We have stayed here before and the quality of rooms and location is excellent. The staff are very obliging and friendly. The views are lovely and the food is good. A very relaxing atmosphere. However, there were some issues that may have been pandemic related. There was a definite strain on staff at breakfast service, which may have been unavoidable. In addition, the private beach needs more sunbeds.

There were not enough facilities for older children in particular. For example, there should be a games room, with table tennis, Fussball, video game machines, 10-pin bowling, pool and snooker tables etc. These types of amenities could be scattered around the resort. There was 1 pool table, which was dilapidated, and of the 8 cues, all were broken.

Beautiful setting and architecture. Immaculate gardens. Some great restaurants. Several swimming pools. Beautiful beach with transport. Overall the front staff cares.

Several signs of problems in the back office: when we checked in our door would not close and there was opened food parcels from the previous occupants in the minibar. Service in the pool / beach areas can be quite slow. I would not be surprised is this hotel, like most of the European hospitality industry, is struggling to hire enough staff. They are still charging premium prices however, which opens up a gap between expectations and service.

Villa infinity pool was excellent. This was the main reason we chose this resort. A break from children in this adult only pool was essential. The Ambassador staff were excellent.

Poor lighting and signage on paths around the Villas. Lack of buggies to transport us to and from the pool was disappointing.. Cost of 2 rounds of golf was very expensive. A better discount should negotiated be available for Abama guests. The resort could benefit from light music at least at one of its restarants.

the resort is huge and the rooms are really nice and practical, there is a lot to do on site (beach, pool, restaurants, gym, spa, yoga…) but all the credit must go to the staff, they are extremely attentionate and always ready to help with a smile thank you to everyone, we’re already looking for a time to come back :)

one suggestion, for guests with dinner included, a pre booking in one of the restaurants should be done; it was a bit strange to arrive in the hotel in the late afternoon and be told all restaurants were full till 21:15

beatiful walk every morming and evening around golf course ,2 holes beside hotel on golf buggy track, spectacular beach though the funicular transport down to beach was out of order, there was an interesting walk down many winding steps instead., staff at beach friendly and attentive, nice restaurant there also.

Location; design of adults only pool area; El Mirador setting. Generally the staff were lovely. Generally the food quality was good to excellent.

Our “deluxe villa” was in need of updating - outside and in. towels, and some parasols very much in need of replacement. pool bar opening hours sloppy. Service In restaurants was at times incredibly slow; often waiting 45 mins for a first drink or to be offered one. Pool side service should be standard at this price and claimed luxury. Sometimes what you order and what you received was a random event. - breakfast was almost amusing in this regard. Parts of the ‘Citadel’ are tired, dark, unloved and very unappealing. It seems evident that this hotel is poorly managed.
