I've stayed here many times because of its excellent location and secure underground parking. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the cathedral is a stone's throw away.

Not a complaint, but for information. The underground parking is an extra paid for option and there are limited spaces. Also getting in there is VERY tight and not for claustrophobics or people with large vehicles without a full complement of cameras and beepers. To get my Lexus RXC450h in there had all the beepers going all the time and 4 manoeuvres to get it round the corner. Do-able, but you have been warned!

Excellent staff, big room, very clean, perfect location and view. I was amazed that the tv remote was in a small paper bag and had been disinfected, as I always have to bring my own bag for it. Fantastic little detail and it shows you are keeping very good cleaning standards. Also, the staff at the reception was amazing, thank you so much for being so polite and helpful every time! :-)

To all the guests that go somewhere to get drunk and party: please respect your neighbours during the night. We had very rude and loud guests next door that kept us up for two nights... Even though the staff told them to be quiet, they lied that it hadn't been them. Not the hotel's fault, the staff was very understanding!

Location, location, location ! Stunning view of the cathedral from our third floor room. Worth paying a few extra euros for. We had a car and parked in their secure garage just a few metres away. Was nice and easy. The hotel gave us instructions. Road to the garage good size too, not narrow windy lanes you usually get when in the old town. We have a medium sized car. Comfy beds, thoughtful toiletry extras and chocolates a nice touch. Very pleasant reception staff. We did a 9.30am tour of the cathedral which was amazing and not too busy. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Hotel Crisol Mesòn del Cid was superbly located just across a plaza from Burgos Cathedral. Our room had an excellent view of the front of the cathedral. We were also well placed in the centre of the old town and could easily walk to most of the key points of interest. Car parking was convenient, just across from the hotel. Breakfast was very good, and the breakfast room also looked out to the cathedral. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Beyond the wonderful view from our room, it was comfortable and suited our needs.

While the hotel was very comfortable, the bathroom in our room was a little bit dated in our opinion.

This hotel is in a superb position right opposite the magnificent Catedral de Burgos, really handy for the restaurants, bars and city centre attractions, as well as fresh air and walks in the riverside parks and in the wooded Parque de Castillo. It also has excellent underground parking just a few meters away - check the height of your vehicle though; our VW Transporter T5 got stuck in the second door, but that led to an excellent and friendly welcome from the receptionist who had spotted our plight on the security cameras and came to lift the door the centimetre or so that allowed us to proceed. We did the same on the way out a couple of days later. Our T5 is 2,0m high and I think she said the official clearance is 1,9m. The hotel itself has a traditional appearance that is very much in keeping with its location. We were offered an upgrade on arrival, so our room looked straight out to the cathedral and was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of items available and very helpful and friendly staff. We went out to eat both evenings, but slightly wish we'd tried the hotel's own restaurant which had an excellent room-service menu (we're Covid-vulnerable so only eat in our room or sitting outside and the crowded streets and squares were a bit of a nightmare for us).

Our only slight gripe was that the air-conditioning had been centrally switched off for the winter so, for our tastes, the room was uncomfortably warm, even with the window open all night, both nights, we were unable to get the temperature below 23°C. The manager was kind enough to refund us our breakfasts in compensation. I guess a further slight criticism would be that we had to jury-rig the window to prevent it blowing to-and-fro as there wasn't any kind of stay to hold it open. On the upside, it was extraordinarily quiet throughout the night, which is pretty amazing for the centre of a city.

I spent 7 nights in this lovely hotel in a small but spotlessly clean room with a comfy bed and nice bathroom. The view of the Burgos Cathedral from my window was simply breathtaking, almost unreal. The breakfast buffet was extremely good and varied, the service excellent, and the front desk staff accommodating and friendly. The location in the center of medieval Burgos was wonderful! Felt like I had spent a week as a time traveler to the Middle Ages.

The property location is incredible. We had a view of the cathedral directly outside our room. I liked the old fashioned shutters! Although our room was small, it was nicely decorated and air-conditioned. We appreciated being able to park in the hotel’s garage across the street. The location is right in the middle the old quarter, a real treat indeed.

No coffee maker in the room, but they do offer breakfast and there are pastry and coffee shops right around the corner.

Fantastic Location, it is the best to view tp see the beautiful cathedral through the window in the hotel room.

It is not hotel issue, We walked from regional autos station to the hotel by foot. just 5 minutes work. However there are several steps. if you have heavy suit case, it would be a issues. We were lucky that local people helped to carry our heavy suit case those stairs.

The location of the hotel was perfect. We were centrally located in Burgos overlooking the square right next to the cathedral. Our room was very spacious and comfortable.

Our room was in a building next to the building where you check in, so we had to carry our luggage down stairs to discover that we needed to re-carry back to ground level, and then more stairs in the other building. This was just a bit more exercise than we wanted a the end of a travel day.

The location of this hotel is amazing. Get a room with a cathedral view. You won't regret it.

There are historic hotels and there are dated hotels. This hotel is both. The exterior is beautiful and charming, so no problems there. Likewise, the interior of the hotel is not problematic, but it is curiously dated. My room had a number of features that I think would have been high tech and chic in the 1980s but seemed very anachronistic by today's standards and needs. More Eastern Bloc than Euro Hip. That said, I would stay in this hotel again as its location is just magnificent and the unexpected 1980s tech was charming in an odd, obsolete way.
