Hotel Ivory Playa Sports & Spa

We have been there for 6 nights and we don't regret a single one. Here are few points that may be helpful for the future visitors that are watching these rewievs: - Transportation: We took a bus A32 from the airport which took us to the stop called Platja dels Francesos 2 (3057) (https://www.tib.org/en/web/ctm/autobus/linia/a32) which is just 1-2 minutes of walk from the hotel.. BUT: be aware that many of the stops including this one are ON REQUEST, so you have to push the button "STOP" in the bus, when your stop is currently the NEXT ONE (you can see the sequence of the stops on the monitor in the bus) Also, these buses works on the touch-in touch-out system, so you touch the card reader when you get on the bus (with your credit/debit card) near the driver, and than when you will be exiting the bus you touch again but in the rear of the bus :) You can take up to 5 passengers on one credit/debit card. - When you want to travel around, Google maps or Apple maps are really helpful. However, the bus can arrive +/- 15 minutes around its scheduled time so don't worry if it's late for a few minutes, just wait. - The hotel is nice and clean, the receptionists are super kind and always smiling :) - Also, there's a possibility to rent big towels from the hotel, which you can take to the pool and the beach. - The breakfast was good, you can take it outside and enjoy your meal in the exterior. - The hotel prepares the entertainment for every day with the pool bar/bar, so if you will be bored in the evening, I recommend you to go downstairs, sit, order a drink and watch. Moreover, there is also prepared entertainment program for the kids (also every day). We were happy to stay in the Ivory Playa hotel, looking forward for the next visit.

The food on the breakfast could be better quality.

Fantastic Hotel!! I can’t speak high enough of the staff at this hotel, they were excellent. From minute one of my stay till saying goodbye the friendliness and attention to detail from each and everyone of them is to be applauded. The hotel is spotlessly clean with the cleaning staff working tirelessly throughout the day. The food at the buffet was very good with a wide variety each and every evening. Facilities and entertainment at the hotel are brilliant and cannot be faulted. I would highly recommend this hotel for couples or families. You will not be disappointed.

A small suggestion would perhaps be a small shop with certain basic provisions on site. Although you do have a supermarket and a garage within a couple of minutes walk from the hotel.

The hotel was fabulous… nothing really to complain about it. Location top one, just 1 min walking from the wonderful beach of Alcudia. Parking is not a problem at all. Swimming pools were very nice and plenty of space for everyone. The animation team was always around making games, aqua Zumba, etc. and every night was a different entertainment show. All of them were good, but the show with the magician was superb! Food was good with plenty to choose from, a permanent hot grill were you could have fish, chicken or meat cooked at the moment. We went for half-board and we cannot complaint. Drinks for dinner were not included, but I knew this already. But, prices of drinks are the same, or even cheaper I would say compared to what you would pay outside for any similar drink. Coffee, water and fruit juices are included for breakfast. Staff was super helpful and always with a smile on their faces which makes anyone feel welcomed. Room was very confortable, cleaned and serviced everyday and towels changed if required. We will definitely come back next summer.

I was surprised and impressed in the same time. I was trying to arrange low cost hotel for our Mallorca vacation, so that 3 stars were acceptable. In this case our expectations were highly crossed. Food as a dinner or breakfast was great (steak, sushi, paella, ice cream, pasta, pizza, local Spanish food, and many more) it was delicious and served as a buffet (all you can eat). Room (pool orientation)was pretty big nice and clean, better in real like on pictures. Beds were comfy. Towels were changed daily, room was clean every day. Receptionist were very kind and helpful. In this complex there are three pools, I was impressed even one of them was heated. free sunbed included. SPA is available daily after reservation we were there as a family in defined hours when kids could go in=excellent. Right now, the TOP of the hotel and the overall experience was the beach and the sea, so clean, so nice, shallow water for kids. Last but not least was one more thing which was very important during our stay in the hotel = TOP Entertainment team (Roberto, Barbara, Noelia, Pablo, Jordi ) those guys increase the level of the overall experience and the feeling from the hotel. They managed whole day with activities, discussions, night performance, they are young, smart, funny and most important they are friends, which makes them the best entertainment team in the world :) Hotel was arranging sessions every evening. I mean sessions like external musicians, dancers, magicians visit the hotel, the stage and entertain guests. Me and my family was amazed from the hotel and the service. I hope that we will meet again next summer. For those who are considering Mallorca and specific location, this is my recommendation.

The cleanliness of the rooms are superb. In terms of cleanliness it should be a 4 star.

There is nothing that we did not like, however they could improve some of the facilities, such as a second curtain in the bedroom to maintain privacy in the bedroom, and the bed mattress you get the feeling that they are overly used, these are just minor things compared to over all stay experience. The food is also hit and miss. There are nights that the dinner menu are sumptuous but there are nights that it is okay but could be better in terms of spices. The evening entertainers are good, some of them you can see they are enthusiastic and passionate with what they do especially the guy from Cuba (I cant remember his name and the lady named Barbara) but the rest of them I am unsure.

Everything. I've been here before, so I knew exactly what I was getting and it did not disappoint. The place is perfect for a weekend stay or for a longer holiday. It can serve as a great stay-in place or as a home base for exploring the island. The hotel is adjacent to a large supermarket, 20m from a beautiful beach that runs shallow a long way out (ideal for children), has a large pool area, including a heated pool, entertainment for young and old, good in-house catering and a brilliant restaurant located right next door (Hawaii). It's also close enough to the centre of Alcudia that you can walk it in 20 minutes to seek out the more lively nightlife if that is what you seek. That's not really our beat, though, and the laid back atmosphere of the hotel and its surroundings is what we find most attractive. The rooms are huge and are equipped with a stove, kettle and everything you would need to dine in should you choose to cook yourselves, including plates, bowls, fridge, freezer, cutlery, etc. Coupled with the supermarket across the street, that is a luxury that we greatly appreciate as we try to maintain a relatively normal diet to the one we keep at home. The staff are accommodating, polite, professional and friendly. Full marks to the staff, particularly Olga who was quick to help when we encountered a slight discomfort that was of no fault of the hotel or its staff. We look forward to our next visit to Alcudia and Ivory Playa as it has quickly become a family favorite.

There is really nothing to write here. The only slight discomfort we had with our stay was down to something that is entirely common in warm places near water. Again, Olga and the rest of the staff were quick to help out and assisted in helping us change rooms. It's more of a positive than something we "didn't like" in that the staff were so readily willing to help out to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Cheers!

Very nice place to stay 🌞 Room was big enough for the whole family (2 adults + 2 kids), breakfast was decent, lovely view from the balcony (we stayed on the pool side). There are 3 pools in total - big not heated pool, a bit smaller heated pool and very small kids pool (not heated). There is a very nice sandy beach just ~100m from the hotel. Parking is free in the street (at least in March when we stayed there). There is a SPA and gym (though, we did not visit them). Very polite and nice staff 😊

Please note that you have to book a time to visit SPA. You also need swimming cap and flip flops. Kids cannot visit SPA in any time and there are special times for kids to visit SPA.

Everything looks like in the description and photos. The hotel is not the most luxurious but has everything you need. We stayed in an apartment on the 5th floor and it was wonderful. We had a view of the street and the sea. The bed is quite big and there are two sofas in the living room. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. I was impressed by the cleanliness. It is very close to the beach. The breakfast was varied and the staff very kind. On departure, we had to arrive at the airport very early and they prepared a packed breakfast for us. The hotel has two outdoor pools and there was an artistic program every day. There is a supermarket 200 meters away.

Fantastic hotel - staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The facilities are excellent , our group arrived on a cycling holiday and this hotel is perfect for this activity with bike storage straight across the road for a small fee. I also used the pools and spa after cycles - had a excellent sports massage - AAA+ . The breakfast buffet was nice with a good selection of options, but we also had to option of cooking in our room, as our apartment came with all necessary facilities. The Hotel is located on the beach , which was beautiful , ideal for taking a nice refreshing dip after a long cycle. The beach was not crowded and the hotel offered a towel rental service , so no need to pack a large beach towel. The location is also good , between port Alcudia and Can Picafort , both just 2 bus stops or a short taxi ride away. Or if you want to stay local , there are lots of restaurant options within walking distance. And a supermarket straight across from the hotel. Overall i loved this hotel and will defiantly stay here again when i return to Mallorca. A top location for cycling groups , families or couples.

Very little, the room was quite warm at night , and although there was a air con system built in , it was difficult to adjust and required all doors and windows to close for it to work. Not a big issue really.
