The hotel is really beautifully designed and decorated throughout, and there are a variety of pools so we were able to (mostly) escape the wind by going to a different one. The food was great. Initially we thought we had to go to a specific bar for all inclusive but were pleased to discover you can get the incl. drinks at any bar. We loved sitting at the top bar in the evenings or the bottom one while the DJ played. Some staff were really friendly and helpful, in particular Emma at the restaurant. We liked the location in the sense that we could walk out of the hotel to the nature reserve and to a beautiful seaside boardwalk down to a nearby town with lovely restaurants.

Some staff seemed begrudged to help. (Oddly this seemed to get better across our stay, and by the Easter weekend service really seemed to have improved.) We didn’t like the proximity to the airport in that you could frequently hear planes flying overhead.

Barceló Tenerife is a beautiful resort. Big, spacious, clean, a lot of pool options. The hotel has different areas so you can find peaceful spaces and also fun activities. Staff are very welcoming, accommodating and helpful. The kids club and animation team are brilliant.

No real showstoppers, would be fantastic if the Wi-Fi was secure, signal quite challenging at get good connection for mobile data and hot spot. Pools could be heated to a slightly higher temperature and more options to cater for food intolerances, however the alternative non dairy milk options were good.

We chose Barcelo for our honeymoon and we definitely made the right decision. The hotel is beautifully designed, the room was spacious, comfortable and quiet and we could try various activities offered for free (aqua gym, tennis, dancing classes, concerts - additionaly they would also organize small trips, workshops and activities for children). The hotel has a gym, sport courts, a souvenir shop, pool bars - 3 euro for a glass of wine, 6 euro for a cocktail for eg) and a la carte restaurants which you can book through their app. There are several pools to swim in and relax and sunbeds for everyone. Guests can also access a nearby beach. It is close to TFS airport and you could spot some airplanes nearby but nothing disturbing. The hotel was a good starting place for trips across the island and as we rented a car, we benefited from the parking lot available. We had half board included in the room rate (breakfast-water, coffee, tea, fresh juices included and dinner-no drinks included) and it was ok for us as we were usually travelling around for lunch time. You could upgrade to all inclusive anytime (lunch and drinks included). The buffet was varied and you could find something tasty for everyone (local specialties, chicken, beef, pork, fish, fruits and vegetables, sweets, but also vegetarian and no sugar options included). The staff (reception, restaurants, bars and housekeeping) was super helpful and we felt taken care of. We were spoiled with welcome and goodbye treats which were a bonus. :)

Beautiful, clean recently refurbed hotel, all staff super friendly. The location is good, you can walk either way along the beach on a promenade and reach restaurants or places for lunch. The rooms are large, beds massive and comfy, double sink, big toiletries supplied (shampoo, cond, body lotion, shower gel), separate bath with jets and shower pillow menu and balcony large too. All rooms either face inwards to the pools or to the beach so I cant imagine any of the rooms having a bad view. Food options are good, i'm veggie and lots of salad options to chose from and veggie hot food. We upgraded to All inclusive plus when we got there, it worked out as an addition £30 pp a day (we were booked for HB before this). This included all food, snacks, mini bar, all cocktails, all premium branded spirits, cava, some really nice wines (I'm a bit of a wine snob), you only need to pay extra for champagne or bottles of wine(Moet, Gavi etc). Would defo recommend doing this if you want to have lunch every day and drink as much as you like by the pool. We tried out the Italian, the pizza was delicious- thick fluffy crust (a bit like franco manco) Didnt try the other al la carte, it looked nice but i'm not a fan of paella Got a taxi to Siam Mall one day, €20, you can probably get a bus but we didnt check that. Lots of uk shops, zara, mango, h&m etc. Note far from costa adeje so prob about the same in cab price wise but we didnt go there. Easy to get a taxi back too Activities- there's a tennis court, beach volleyball, pilates studio, lake for kayaking etc. Also fitness activities in the pool like yoga on surfboards, water boxing, aqua aerobics. There aren't overly pushy to make you do any of it which was appreciated We didn't use the spa- it was well booked up so id recommend booking that in advance Entertainment in the evening- they have a theatre there with nightly shows or live music in the lobby bar which is more chill which we enjoyed

The heated pool wasn't very warm but still bearable

The whole hotel resort is really nice, a lot of pools, activities to do and the decorations are beautiful. It is close to the airport which is good for when you have to go there or if you are coming from the airport, i would say it is a good stop by to stay there for some time. The staff is really kind, they give you all the informations, call a taxi for you which comes really fast if you have to go somewhere.

There was a bit of a wait for a check-in since the cleaning ladies do start with the cleaning very late and it can go on after 15:00 (check-in time) The cleanliness of the bathroom is not that good, the bath, shower, sink faucet do stain a bit already so it gives the old/ dirty look when you look at it, everything else is cleaned good. I would maybe recommend to put some good fragrance in the room after cleaning. The buffet could also be a bit better, with the freshness and warmth of the food, and maybe always/every day a bit more options from meat, to seafood, mixed cuisine ... (not only by the theme of the day so as one day seafood, other day middle eastern food,..) so that there is always an option for someone that doesn't eat everything.

The position of the hotel near two excellent golf courses was very good for our trip. Our room was spacious and modern with lovely decor - I especially liked the music system positioned in the large bathroom which played easy listening music throughout the day. The staff in the bars and all restaurants were attentive and always happy to help. We had a meal at the Dolce Vita restaurant and was impressed with the quality of the food.

The buffet restaurant (Drago) catered for all tastes but we found that at breakfast time the porridge was cold and in the evening the hot food was lukewarm- I think this could be improved upon.

The receptionists were kind and efficient, they helped us find our way around the accommodation they help us connected to WIFI . Despite the large number of guests, the dining rooms are large and spacious, the breakfasts have a large and delicious selection. The place is suitable for everyone, and the area of the place is large. The place is accessible, there are ramps to bypass the many stairs. The hotel is close to the airport, The room was located in a good place despite the proximity to the route of the airplane runway, the noise of the airplanes did not disturb.

The cleanliness of the rooms, we received a clean and tidy room, the next day they did not clean the room well. They didn't change towels and didn't clean under the beds. at the dinner the attitude of the staff in the dining room changes if you don't order a drink there is not even water within reach. In short, if you don't order something, you'll stay thirsty.

The hotel was big and spacious. The room was ok. The room's view was ok. Stayed for 3 nights and spent most of the time outside of the hotel. However, there were a few entertaining activities I could do like kayaking and the historic experience tunnel tour. The app was easy to use and bookings were made via it. Customer service before arrival was slow in responding at times but was good during the stay. The slow responses did affect my holiday planning. I started with half board and upgraded to all-inclusive for the last two days. I did this because the first two days had me out of the hotel from early morning (before breakfast on one day) till evening. The restaurant and snack bars were ok. I only tried the buffet restaurant since that's the only one on all-inclusive. The other restaurants required extra charges. I've honestly been to better 5-star resorts which had the a la carte restaurants included in the all-inclusive package and provided better rooms and services. Was it worth upgrading? Well, I had an evening flight back home and could have lunch and other stuff to eat and drink while I waited, so I guess it was worth it in the end.

Everything was fantastic. The staff were extremely kind and friendly and the breakfast was superb. Facilities were amazing.

The only negative was the lack of knowledge on allergens. I can’t eat gluten and I asked many different staff members in the restaurant which foods I could and could not eat. Unfortunately the answer was different each time and somebody got it wrong resulting in me eating gluten and having a reaction. It seems that the allergen signs are not correct and nor most of the staff responses as I was told one day the mojo didn’t have gluten, the next day it did and the day after it didn’t. The experience was truly great in general but I was disappointed by the lack of care for people with food allergies.

it was in a very good condition with much love for details (herbal garden, clean pools,…). thee even surprises me with a delicious birthday cake and bottle of sparkling wine). the staff is extremely friendly and the breakfast and dinner buffet super fresh and with a vast variety.

there is no good beach in walking distance but they seem to be very rare on Tenerife in general. we had a rental car so the location of the hotel/resort was no issue at all.
