The people who work the hotel. The first experience are the people who greeted us with enthusiasm, professionalism and an authentic desire to help and support us having the best time ever. The location. It is easy to navigate to the Matterhorn Express right across the river and it is right on the way to some gentle walking paths around Zermatt. Oh, my gosh! The spa experience. I had one of my best massages in my life (40+ years of getting massages) here with Irene. My back was out due to hauling and fitting luggage onto trains. Irene got to the point and suggested going to the sauna after resting and drinking lots of water. It worked. I have continued my journey in Europe and am feeling strong.

The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The decoration was very modern and cosy. We really loved our room and enjoyed our stays at 22. The jacuzzi was a bit small but there were many sauna rooms so you could have nice relaxing moments after a full-day long walk. The breakfast was also good and decent. The staff were very friendly and responsive to message, helping us to travel between the station and hotel upon our arrival and depaturem. Also, the hotel was close to the gondola to Glacier Paradice - only 5 mins walk - so convenient. We definitely recommend 22 and will stay here again upon next visit.

Loved the entire property. Room and bathroom were well done, good quality, good soundproofing and very comfortable. We enjoyed each breakfast and every afternoon after our hikes we enjoyed our time on the balcony as we had a good view of the Matterhorn. The hotel is located nicely out of “town” near the Matterhorn Express and a few trail entrances. A really nice 10min stroll to the Sunnegga Furnicular and Gronergrat Bahn as well. Bonus - The hotel is right by the river and you get a really good view of the Matterhorn right outside the hotel.

OMG!! This property is incredible!! We stayed at 4 different hotels over 8 nights in Switzerland this one was the best of the best. The property is gorgeous! The design and details are impeccable. Pick up from the train station, wonderful, warm staff, a beautiful room with a perfect view of Matterhorn, the sound of the stream rushing by, close walk to the hustle and bustle, but still super quiet. They have a spa on site. I wish I could have moved in!

The hotel is amazing! If you are looking to plan a visit to Zermatt, stay here! We stayed in the deluxe double room which had the most amazing views of the matterhorn from the window and balcony. The hotel is in such a nice location! It was so peaceful and is right next to the cable cars and gorner gorge - a perfect spot to set off from. The staff are lovely and all super helpful! Having celiac disease makes travelling a bit more difficult but they catered for me and ensured that I had gluten free options. They even had a seperate gluten free only toaster! The spa which is included in the price was perfect after an adventurous day exploring the mountains. The facilities are amazing and this hotel really made our trip to Zermatt even more special.

We can’t say a bad thing about this hotel

Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely location with a view of the Matterhorn straight out of the room window. At the quiet end of town, but easy walk to places to shop and eat. Very helpful free shuttle from the railway station. Room was large with good sized bathroom and lovely rain shower. Breakfast was excellent with some hot food and lots of fruit, meat, fish and breads. I would love to come back again.

Very modern hotel made in a rustic style, more of a boutique so it is all calm, excellent bathroom with a bath, very comfortable and large bed, spacious room, everything kept very clean, excellent breakfast, top location next to the lifts and a bus to go to the city and the other lifts in the city, very nice outdoor pool, free pick up and return to the train station, excellent ski room with lockers

Rather small spa area

We had a great time here, super enjoyable. Phenomenal Matterhorn view right from the room. Very comfy, very cozy, very stylish. Staffs were all super friendly. Great breakfast. Just be mindful it’s a few minutes walk from the town center. Also means it’s quiet.

As a minor point, I’d suggest providing real hair conditioner instead of the shampoo/conditioner combo.

The toilet was very modern and clean. The room was very clean and big. Had a clear view of the Matterhorn just outside the hotel. And it was just next to the station bringing us up to the Matterhorn Glacier Express.

A bit far from the town area but not a problem as there was E-Bus service available. And it was near to a perfect lookout point for the Matterhorn so not an issue.

Excellent place to stay, the hotel is new, modern, very stylish. The rooms are really comfortable, very nicely decorated, the bathroom is large, excellent shower and a bathtub. Everything really clean. The breakfast is good, and the staff very friendly. The hotel is perfectly located, a few meters from the city center and the main lifts. It is also 600 m from the Zermatt main train station.

In fact, I liked everything, but for the price, the hotel could also offer a pool and free transfer from/to train station with the electric shuttle.
