Le Petit Charme-Inn was by no means the fanciest hotel in town, but it's tucked away off the main drag making for quiet evenings. Welcoming staff offer excellent suggestions on activities, rental options, restaurants, and more. They'll give you free drink vouchers on days you forego room service--quite a deal in an expensive resort town! Complementary breakfast in the mornings also helps keep costs down. While perhaps not the most extensive breakfast menu in the world, you can enjoy toast with jam, meats, coffee, and of course a variety of delicious breads! Not to mention, fresh fruits, boiled eggs, among other options. It's a fine alternative to a $30-40CHF breakfast at any of the local bakeries. Free wifi and ski/snowboard/boot storage are also deluxe features. Views from the roof top were also spectacular!

On occasion, taxi services and local guides didn't know where Le Petit Charme-Inn was, but we just met them at the church down the street. Those expecting the Gaylord Palms or the Ritz Carlton might be dissatisfied with Le Petit Charme-Inn, but if your expectations are realistic about mid-range hotels, you'll be pleasantly surprised!

10 min walk from the train station (last 150 meters are steep). Very simple but comfortable tiny little rooms. Lovely service, very kind staff. Rooftop terrace with an amazing view. I wouldn't stay for a longer period, but it really is perfect for a couple of nights. A big plus: lift!! (Many of the old style alpine houses only have staircases, and often on the outside facade – I know people going to Zermatt are usually not couch potatoes, but many reasons like an ankle injury, pregnancy, heavy suitcases etc etc justify why it's great to have one just in case)

Construction work on the neighboring school building overshadowing the view and the otherwise quiet environment, but it will soon be over. :) Tap water smells like sulphur.

I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights and had an overall pleasant experience. The hotel is conveniently located, about a 5-minute walk from the nearest access point. Despite arriving early, the staff kindly allowed us to store our luggage in the ski room, which made check-in a breeze. The stay included breakfast, which offered a decent variety: fresh croissants, both white and brown bread, eggs, fruits, yogurt, and a selection of cereals. It was simple but satisfying, perfect to start the day. The room was clean, though a bit on the smaller side. Do checkout the terrace at the top. It was a good value-for-money stay.

During the day, we noticed some construction noise coming from behind the hotel, but it wasn’t overly disruptive.

We had a wonderful stay at Le Petit Charme-Inn and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The daily continental breakfast was a perfect start to our mornings, offering a variety and quality of food that were excellent and a great way to fuel up for the day. The staff at Le Petit Charme-Inn were incredibly friendly and attentive, going out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their warm hospitality made us feel right at home. The inn’s location is also fantastic, just a short block from the church and town center, making it very convenient to explore the area. Everything we wanted to see and do was within easy walking distance. Additionally, the roof-top terrace was a highlight of our stay, providing a perfect spot to relax and take in the stunning views of the Matterhorn. It was a fantastic place to unwind in the evenings. Overall, Le Petit Charme-Inn exceeded our expectations in every way, and we look forward to returning on our next visit!

The only improvement to this place would be air conditioning (it was hot in Zermatt when we visited in mid-July) and better lighting in the rooms.

Brilliant location, at the top of the shops but in the middle for location to get to the cable cars etc. rooms cleaned daily, although option to have a drinks voucher instead. Roof terrace is lovely to view the Matterhorn at sunrise and sunset. Our room must of been updated recently as it had usb plugs an absolute lifesaver as we didn’t have the correct travel plugs. Breakfast is a continental one but has loads of options. Lovely fresh fruit and bread, with meat and cheese. The staff were all lovely if I can ever afford to come to Switzerland again I would stay here. Zermatt itself is a brilliant central location to do things shame the shops close so early.

Only negative was the pillows they weren’t firm, quite flat but we were given more.

please don't bring a big luggage to this hotel, because you will need cardio to go here. it's not far but the road in Zermatt was using stone. the hotel has ski room, so you can put your ski equipment and luggage there. the staff was ok, not friendly but ok still respect us as a guest. the lift was small and quite challenging, but I'm appreciate they have a small lift. the room was clean, but the one that I was stayed was a lil bit old, some of the room is more modern, it's ok, small step. the breakfast was ok, they have bread, oat, fruit, egg, and coffee or milk.

Location was great just off the Main Street in Zermatt, about a 10-minute walk from train station. We visited in Fall so there was plenty of room for breakfast and very much enjoyed our breakfast options for the couple nights we stayed (bread, meat and cheeses, fruits & veggies, yogurt, coffee, hot chocolate, and cereals). They keep the whole stay simple without compromising on comfort so I felt like we received great value for what we paid. Rooftop area was awesome, quiet place to enjoy a drink and was even able to capture a nice long-exposure photo of the Matterhorn peak under the light of a near full moon, nice bonus.

Hotel staff is extremly friendly, without forcing. We've got good advices and good conversations about the site. Absolutely nice view from the topdeck terrace. Perfect breakfast. Bathroom is clean and o.k.

The room is little, basic, I missed place for a little table with 2 chairs. In the bathroom a bidet would be usefull. And personally I prefer hard mattress bed, but it is a very subcejtif opinion. These are little things and you did not came here to spend your time closed in a room, so take it only as a mention, just for the sake of whining.

The location was an easy and scenic 8-minute walk from the train station. It was away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist area, yet only 3-minute walk from restaurants by the historic church. The breakfast was good and started at 7 AM. This was good for starting hikes early before afternoon rain. There was construction behind the hotel, but it was quiet between 5 PM and 8 AM, so sleep was not disturbed. The staff was friendly and helpful. They let you store your luggage before and after you check out during their regular office hours of roughly 7 AM to 7 PM.

If you have more than one person, ask for an additional card to get into the room.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was varied and tasty. We both were able to find things we liked to start our day. The bathroom was small but recently remodeled, and the beds were comfy. They also offered if we declined housekeeping they then gave us a coupon for a beverage (beer or wine) in the evening. We loved this personally.

At times the room was a bit stuffy, but the windows opened easily which solved the problem. Because it was cold when we were there, we found just having them open for a little bit helped.
