We had a balcony with a view of The Matterhorn. The room was clean cosy and bed comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic. We hope to be back.

The hotel was not great at communicating with us regarding how to get to the hotel from the station. They said ring us when we arrive and we did after turning on my phone costing me money and attempted many times. (When we went back to the station to leave I saw a telephone which was free to call all hotels to be picked up) anyway we walked 10 minutes up the hill in the end turned out ok because we were fit to carry our luggage. More clear and direct information would have been helpful.

Fabulous view of the famous Matterhorn right outside our window - with a balcony. Couldn't ask for more! It's a bit of a schlep up the hill from the station (we hadn't realised Zermatt is car free so you have to arrive by train but there are odd little golf buggy taxis you can get if you want to). We were so lucky this was available at short notice when our previous booking cancelled on us. Zermatt is delightful. Don't miss a walk to the gorge - it's a bit scary if you're afraid of heights but so spectacular. And going on the cable car to the top of the mountain is over £100 each but cheaper than the equivalent ride at the Eiger (£200!) and sooooo beautiful. Wow. Experience of a lifetime. As for the hotel, it was a classic alpine hotel with a nice big bed, bath with shower over it, decent sized room and bathroom. But we did pay for that - £400 for 2 rooms. There's also a nice garden you can sit in. Decent breakfast.

The receptionist was the most reticent person I've ever seen on the reception desk of a hotel. She was polite and sweet but just seemed a bit miserable! No smile for us. And of course Switzerland is mad expensive. £14 for an aperol spritz. £20-30 for a main course (not including vegetables - where are the vegetables?!) That's not this hotel's fault but it is the reason we stay in Italy and then whizz up to CH for one night at a time!

The view of the Matterhorn from the balcony is very, very good. It was worth it booking this room to get the view. It is also within walking distance of Glacier Paradise, which is convenient. The area is quiet, only the sound of the river at night. The breakfast spread was also superb. Staff were helpful, especially the old guy who seemed in charge. The young lady on checkout was a bit curt, but still helped us get a taxi service

Stairs going up to the room. An anti-slip mat in the bath/shower would be good to prevent accidents. It is a bit of a distance from the centre of town, so shopping for amenities or food is a challenge. We forgot to bring detergent to wash clothes, so we didn't manage to use the washong machine.

Everything was great. The hotel is just 15 mins walk from train station. It is also a very short walk to the Materhorn cable car. I was promised a Materhorn view room, and that was exactly what we got. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom. The room included a small sitting area as well. Tea and coffee making facilities and mini bar made the stay even more complete. The breakfast was very good with a wide selection. This hotel is highly recommended.

Nothing, well done!

This little gem is a perfect place to spend time in Zermatt! We arrived, like most people, by train. Although electric taxis are advertised and easy to find, we decided not needed and walked. In fact, our entire time in Zermatt was on foot other than the famous cogwheel train up to the Matterhorn. Walking to this hotel, even with our carry on suitcases, was easy. The hosts were fantastic. Loved our room. I was turning 70 and had requested balcony with a view of the Matterhorn. Amazing room and view-LOVED IT! Breakfast was phenomenal and staff fantastic. We had an issue with our TV initially (one of the plugs had dislodged)-fixed promptly! Then we blew one of the electrical outlets-Pierre (Peter?) was there again quickly. Loved his sense of humor. So, there is absolutely nothing we have to complain about!! Highly recommend this hotel.

Not a thing!

It was all in all a super perfect stay. We just stayed one night before a jump to the Glacier Express but it was absolutely worth it to stay in this hotel for one night. The staff was 100% friendly and helpful with tips of the location, including the hotel app with possibility to check out with webcam the local sight seeing spots (perfect to see if cloudy or sunny). Rooms are super clean and the bed is amazingly comfortable. We had a balcony with view to the Matterhorn. Breakfast was diverse and good quality. If we come back to Zermatt we definitely stay there again!!! Thanks for the great stay.

there is nothing to say.

Hotel room was a studio, so it came with a kitchen, but we didn't use it. It was located in the Haus Bonnati building which is across the street and are apartments. Room was on the bottom floor and had a view of the street, but it had a patio. If you went on the patio you could see the Matterhorn. Location was an easy walk to the Matterhorn Express gondola (5 min) which beat the cattle-car bus experience from the rest of town. Morning breakfast was an outstanding European breakfast, including eggs, bacon and sausage. Massage spa was 100ft away, and they were very good. short walk into restaurant/shopping but nothing is far in this town. Hotel arranged pickup from train station for free.

Shower head was ridiculously small and ineffective. Hallway lights were on timers that were too short to make it up the stairs so every floor you had to find and press the button again. No elevators, if you need one. Nothing is cheap here, but given the prices, it was a reasonably good value for a ski trip.

room is spacious though facilities are bit old, heating works good. the reception lady who checked me in is nice but another male staff is bit cold and impatient. rate for this type hotel could be over-priced but guess travelling at ski peak season is not cheap anyway. there are basically loads and loads of hotel/accommodations spreading from train station but it's hard to believe there are very few options left in sep looking for a dec accommodation - heard same comment from another tourist i met at hotel. there is a new building across the street (in construction at the moment) which will eventually block the view of Matterhorn. the biggest problem is the distance to station - dont trust google map which tells you it's 12min walk. it's all uphill!!! think when you are pulling a luggage case!! take a taxi from train station costs around 15-20CHF.

We stayed in 1 bedroom apartment with a view of Matterhorn. There was a pullout sofa and cot available for my two teenage sons to sleep. We bought groceries for two dinners to cook in kitchen. Breakfast was perfect and plentiful to prepare for a full ski day. It was a five minute walk to ski gondola. It was close to shopping and walking into town. Would highly recommend

The hot tub was really a jacuzzi tub- ltranslation difference. The shower was handheld not overhead and made iit truly difficult to shower.

Clean, spacious and nice view. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic, special mention for the friendly ladies there. I like the fact they had recycling bins outside.

I liked pretty much everything but if I was to be really pressed on something it would be taking 2 staircases down to get to the room. Not a problem for me but if that was a challenge for a guest, it would pose a bigger problem. That being said, I don’t think a lift being installed would help appropriate or suitable either.
