The brekfast had a great selection of meats and breads , sweet buns croissants jams . Fresh eggs You can cook to Your liking and great selection of hot drinks . Hotel location is i think the best You can get in Zermatt , the family that runs the place is extra friendly and helpful i absolutely loved every bit of my stay they make it exceptionally good , gave great recommendations about the town etc i will defenatly come back :)))

Could use a bit of veggies on brekfast like tomato , there was cucamber one day but then it was non on a next day but honestly not a big issue as meats and cheese were exceptional and i guess veggies were not in season atm

One of my dreams for the last two years was to wake up in the morning to a view of the Matterhorn in Zermatt, and in this hotel I achieved exactly what I dreamed of. I booked a room with a mountain view for three nights, and I was lucky in the first two days that the weather was clear and I was able to enjoy the view of the mountain and relax facing it, this mountain. It is a dream come true and this hotel was part of the dream come true The staff at the hotel were all kind without exception. The breakfast was very good and the cleanliness was excellent. When I return there, I will definitely book at that hotel. If you want to book there, beware of giving up a room with a mountain view, as there is all the beauty of the visit.

The hotel is a little far from the center, and when the buses end, transportation becomes a problem due to the distance of the hotel, but this is not a problem for me. Rather, it gave me more calm for a comfortable sleep without disturbance.

This is probably the best location if you want unrestricted views of the matterhorn. Take a look at the photos I've posted! Epic views! In addition, this hotel is right next to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise station, which is perfect! It is also right next to some of the most amazing hiking trails in Zermatt. The hotel is slightly far away from the center of Zermatt, but you can easily take the bus or it's a 15 minute walk. The gentleman at the front desk was the most friendly person ever!

Made the mistake of selecting the standard room, which doesn't have any view. If you stay at this place, ensure that you select a room with a view (of the Matterhorn)

The unobstructed view of the Matterhorn, the heart shaped chocolates on the beds, the complimentary chocolate bar (which I forgot to eat), the breakfast (which featured an assortment of extraordinary breads and pastries from Fuchs), the knowledgable and helpful staff, the alpine design...I could go on. This is by far the best place to stay in Zermatt. Pro tips: find out if there is construction on the either the red or green bus line before you get on either bus. There was construction on the red line, so we had to get off early and then walk up the hill with our luggage. We could have taken the green line instead and then just taken the elevator to the road that leads to the hotel.

Beautiful location for walks, fantastic for seeing the Matterhorn, right next to the cable car. Best to take the bus( free travel, right across from the station - Zermatt), red or green line to Hotel otherwise it’s a 15-20 min walk from station. Had a wonderful breakfast. Note: no cooking facilities in the room, but on request we got a kettle for making tea ;) very happy with our stay.

It was perfect. The view from my balcony simply the best, it was hard to draw my eyes away from the ever changing light on the Matterhorn. Great to sit on the balcony which felt private and peaceful. The only sounds the river and in the day time the low hum of the cable cars which did not intrude at all. The room itself was extremely comfortable, great bed and quality bedding, and the bathroom bright and clean with a shower over the bath which always ran powerfully and hot. There was a desk and a chaise lounger and sizeable wardrobe. A very nicely sized room, super clean and easy to live in for the 5 nights I was there. Staff were super friendly, the breakfast room bright and airy and inviting and the buffet always fresh and delicious. Especially welcomed the opportunity to make boiled eggs. At night I felt secure and safe. The hotel is exactly as described and away from the main parts of town but very convenient with several routes into the main part of town, about 20 minutes from a ‘gourmet’ coop, the railway station and the Gornagrat train, and many bars and restaurants closer than that. walks could be accessed straight from the front door, both along the valleys, and up higher using the cable cars.

Absolutely nothing

Very nice, newly renovated hotel in an excellent location at the end of town directly across the street from the Glacier Express cable car terminal. Very clean and a very friendly staff. Twenty minute walk to the train station, we took a taxi, 22 CHF each way, but very walkable otherwise to downtown. The bathroom was very nice, modern and clean, but extremely small. I would have given the property a 10 except for the size of the bathroom. We had a problem with the safe in our room wouldn't open and our passports and Swiss 1/2 fare cards tickets were located inside. The owner was extremely apologetic and reimbursed us for the inconvenience. The breakfast buffet was minimal by most hotel standards and marginally ok.

There was nobody at the front desk during the evening hours and not until noon the next day. The emergency contact number they give you goes to the front desk and no one is there to answer the phone. The cleaning staff was unable to help, and at first unwilling to contact the owner to help. This is a very serious issue that I hope the owner takes care of. We had to wait 4 hours for the owner to show up to try and open the safe in our room, without success.

Superb location. Lovely staff. Attractive comfortable room with quality shower and bath. Great view. Excellent breakfast. Fair price. I’d always go back.

I would have liked a kettle in the room for making my own tea (Brit, obviously) and may be bit more light to see in the wardrobe. I had to use a torch! But these are minor points and didn’t detract from a great stay.

Great breakfast in a quite and clean hotel. Very friendly staff with helpful recommendations. The sauna was excellent and the view outside the balcony is just amazing. We highly recommend staying here!

This hotel is further than most, especially from the train station. Walking into town can take longe. However, the hotel does offer a taxi service for pick up / drop off.

The room was very comfortable. Very modern furnishings and room presented well and perfectly clean. We had a balcony with table and chairs which was a nice addition. We had booked a room with Matterhorn view. We had a direct view of the Matterhorn which was better than expected - no buildings between our view of the Matterhorn. We saw the sun shine on the Matterhorn at sunrise and it was beautiful. Although we were a long walk from town we became familiar with the walking route and buses. We were very close to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise cable car station so that was bonus after a long day riding cable cars up to and across the mountains. We visited Gonergrat first and then travelled across the mountains to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise all in the one day. The breakfast was very good. Although I didn't like having to cook my own eggs the second morning. Far more convenient to provide guests with a basket of boiled eggs than a pot with boiling water and a timer guide. The host was very welcoming. We would stay here again for sure.

We arrived in Zermatt train station and followed the google instructions to Plateau Rosa - a 20 minute walk - some of it uphill. Quite a long way with our suitcases. We arrived to see a mini bus with hotel logo. We enquired if they offer guests rides into town and were told it is to pick up guests from train station and back again. We would have really appreciated being offered this service and avoided the long uphill walk. I like to receive a message from host the day ahead of arrival confirming details like this. I recommend future guests are made aware of this pick up service.
