Terrific location right on the main street of Zermatt. We had 2 rooms. One room (top floor) had view of the Matterhorn. 2nd room on floor below did not but had a small balcony overlooking the town. Rooms were small but spotless. Hôtel was a god value price in an expensive town.

Our room was 6th floor up from street level - no elevator. Most buildings in town have a small footprint and multiple floors due to the narrow valley, so be prepared.

its close to the train station and accessible to everywhere

staffs dont knock the door before coming in. we were preparing and I just got out from the shower when someone suddenly walked in, me and my husband were shocked, we were just staring at each other and she closed back the door and didnt say anything.

It’s in the center of town, walking distance from train station, uphill a bit but golf cart taxis available. It’s walking distance to catch the Matterhorn express. The town is pretty small so the above would be the case for most stays. I think what makes this hotel stand out is the value for the price, it was clean and breakfast is included. It has a balcony to watch the city .

We traveled in July and it gets very hot . No AC it would be nice if there was at least a fan. It is close to 3 bars and it is true that it gets loud. If you close the windows it’s not as bad, however since it was hot… it would be perfect for people who like nightlife and stay up late. I liked the location and wasn’t too bothered by the noise because I had already read other reviews.

I know it’s the holidays, but the rooms are right above a restaurant and next door to a bar….. Revelers were screaming until 4 am …..not much sleep. The owners were very accommodating , place was clean, breakfast was great . And hey it’s Zermatt! It’s gorgeous !!

The location is great. The balcony is a great bonus. The breakfast is very good. As this is a budget hotel it is good value per money. The advertisement is accurate, we knew exactly what we will receive.

The family room is small there is no elevator and the staircase is narrow, but we knew these when we booked and decided to book anyway because it was a short stay. The open sofa bed should be replaced since it is too old and very uncomfortable even for a budget hotel.

breakfast was ok, a selection of cold cuts, cheese & croissants. the room was ok, however, we were on 3rd floor with no lifts which made the it challenging with luggage. hotel location is in the middle of the main road. the view form the balcony was really good.

the pillows were so flat, but ok for a 1 night stay. hotel entrance is a bit tricky as you will need to go through a narrow entrance then turn right to find the main door. the hotel has no lift which made it hard for us with kids and luggage.

Room on top floor, could see Matterhorn, about a 5 min walk from the train station. Room was decent size with all facilities needed. Good value overall plus buffet breakfast included that consisted of croissants, bread, cereals, ham, cheese and fruits.

No aircon, could get quite warm during summer. Was right above a bar/club which was open past 2am. Directions a bit confusing as there are 2 bakeries (go to the second one)

The room has a definite cottage vibe. They sure did not cheap out on the heating, as I managed to dry my dripping wet clothes and shoes over night after my hike in the snow. Location at the center of the town, just 10min walk from the train station was pretty handy as well. The hotel has its own Italian restaurant (which I did not go to) which is handy for dinners, but you also have a number of restaurants within a stone's throw from the place.

When I arrived, a bit before the official check-in time, the reception was already closed and there was a list of names per room and keys just hanging on the door. Felt a bit insecure way to hand out keys.

The location was amazing not too close to the rail station but still in the heart of shops and restaurants. Walk with bags was easy enough as was the walk to the rail or lifts up the mountain. The staff was extremely personable and attentive - they even noticed that travelers on other reservations/rooms were our friends and so staff reserved a breakfast table for the entire group. The breakfast was a nice spread of bread/pastries, cheeses, juice, cereals & milk.

Bathrooms could be renovated as the shower doors were off the hinges. The toilet also moved when it was sat upon. Bathroom was clean and safe.

Excellent price/quality ratio for our 1 night stay. Communication from hotel was good. Our room had a lovely balcony overlooking Bahnhofstr. Breakfast was nice.

The (most) famous bar in town is just across from the hotel, so ear plugs can be handy if you want to sleep with the window open to get fresh air. A bit more detail from the hotel about the self check-in procedure would be helpful (we did have to wander around a bit).
